I say this with a smile and not being smug but I like to flip the scenario... the client loses me for wanting unprotected sex. I see a lot of people ( regulars ) and none of them would want to engage in unprotected sex. I will say this, for someone who regularly takes long breaks from advertising, each time, over the years, I have seen a massive spike and increase in people asking for unprotected sex, and wanting to do drugs ( pnp ) I have a very close and dear friend, who is very well-known and a retired provider in Las Vegas, and he asked me the other day what was some of the biggest changes since he retired and I told him what I just stated above, and he just couldn't believe it.... 🙄😳

For me, I don't see a ton of new faces on a regular basis, so my STD risk is statistically lowered. I also get a CMP-12 done on an every 30-45 days basis. That doesn't mean I'm always going bareback: For me, it's about having honest discussions with the guys I see, risk assessment and using every medical tool available to keep myself healthy. That includes condoms. Like @V_Marco alluded to , you get to a point in your escorting career when you can set your rules and then stick to them. mike carey, pubic_assistance, SirBillybob and 8 others 6
DWnyc
Maybe it varies by geography - or type - but I would say 80%+ or the providers I have interacted with (not necessarily met) would go bare by default, and a significant number would refuse condoms if requested. I’ve even faced conversations on this assuming there were none to be had because an add says “either safe or bb” or “safe only” but then it turns out the provider will only play raw. TorontoDrew
I find that bb is the default lately. I have to remind them to use a condom. I've noticed that some providers have trouble staying hard using one as they are so used to going bare. la_connor, SirBillybob, marylander1940 and 4 others 4 1
DWnyc
Carry condoms with you (as you should to a hookup/dating situation too) if you want to use them. Don't count on the provider having them or being proactive in finding them (“I may have one somewhere … not too sure … I would have to look … do we really need one …?”) And if the provider has any that haven’t been touched for years they may not be in the best condition. rustyrex
It’s been something that I’ve been noticing about the guys that pass thru town. A lot are going to condom only or a much higher fee for BB. I’ve tried to enjoy the experience safely but it’s not the same. For me to climax with a condom there has to be more to the encounter than the actual act of sex. They have to provide an experience that is much more than physical and most of the time that isn’t going to happen with a pro. Also there are misconceptions about what is safe. Most guys wouldn’t dream of wearing a condom for oral but technically it’s safer than doing it au natural. I once had a patient that had herpes all thru his esophagus. He had a tough time eating because of the pain. The professionals and the hobbyist should accept this type of activity isn’t for the squeamish and that all activities have a risk. To give you some perspective….I had a happy ending massage and climaxed and some of my jizz touched the masseur’s bare leg. He freaked out and ran to the bathroom to shower like acid had hit him. I paid and left. If I can get myself off better with my hand why would I pay hundreds of dollars to have a less than amazing experience. It’s all about preference and comfort level but I’m happy to save my money for someone that will fulfill the fantasy. Condoms are not part of the fantasy. dbar123
With the vast majority of escorts I’ve seen, they have gladly used condoms when asked. A few did get pissy about it so it pays to make your preference clear ahead of time. It also pays to ask the escort to bring condoms that he likes if it’s outcall. I’ve had a few providers get pissy about my selection Simon Suraci and DWnyc 1

Jamie21
I’ve never been requested to use a condom for oral. That would be very unusual indeed. Clients sometimes request me to use a condom on my fingers if I’m doing prostate massage although I prefer to do it without a condom on. I find most clients are fine to not use condoms these days (which is also fine with me). I like the session to progress naturally and the act of putting a condom on, possibly multiple times, is just not conducive to that. But the client’s requirements are priority so they call the shots in this respect. Some are very anxious about catching something which really inhibits their enjoyment. I think if you’re that anxious then probably best not to hire. Just be sensible, test regularly, don’t do highly risky activities and get on Prep. Simon Suraci
I wear condoms upon request. It seems clients generally fall into two camps: no penetrative anal sex (and no condoms) during their session…or anything goes. Sometimes a client wants penetration with a condom and that’s fine with me. It’s more difficult as I’ve shared elsewhere, but I make it work. Speaking from a mostly top provider perspective, I provide my own condoms so I can wear what I know is comfortable for me: Magnums. They taper down toward the base to keep the latex more securely in place, but the whole thing is larger overall so as to not constrict me. The shape and size better accommodates my large head than a standard condom. Nothing kills the mood more than a limp noodle. It’s a piece of latex literally crushing my erection, forcing the blood out of it, all while reducing the sensation, reducing physical contact, and providing a distraction and more reasons for performance anxiety. As if trying to get and maintain a boner for a client wasn’t already difficult enough. That’s why I insist on using my preferred condoms. BUT I put one on when asked and make it seem effortless. That’s what a good pro does. If you can’t or are not willing to work that way, best to make that clear up front on your ads or in communication ahead of time. For versatile and top clients, I actually prefer condoms and like it when they use them, but I offer bare too. Most like and request bareback play, regardless of position preferences. It seems that’s the direction the industry is going. DWnyc, thomas, Luv2play and 2 others 3

Simon Suraci
@NyGold yes, it’s for my health, to reduce (even slightly) the amount of exposure. Most of the time for me it’s bb. I test for STIs monthly, and for HIV quarterly. True, the culture outside of hiring has been going toward bb for a very long time. Basically more and more since 2012 and the widespread availability of PrEP. SirBillybob, DWnyc and NyGold
NyGold
It used to be that you would hear a whispered ask if bb was ok as it was taboo to say it loudly … it’s now switched to where for some condoms are not only absurd but actually offensive. For those of us having experienced a different era part of this is liberating but it can be very confusing / scary as well. @Simon Suraci @Jamie21 framing the use of condoms upon request as an act of professionalism by providers as you have both done here is the right way to look at it rather than by taking a moral position or making a statement on cultural mores - I have found it odd on this topic as it has resurfaced over the years how out of touch some more vocal posters have been with (now) prevalent cultural practice (and therefore, likely expected by clients). And note I now ask if they’d are ok with condoms rather than assume it’s as simple as choosing option a or b … have learnt through experience it’s not the preferred option for most providers I’ve spoken with and can sometimes seem like a negotiation rather than a request made to someone you are essentially employing. dbar123

If a client wants prostate stimulation and ass play, I always recommend some cleaning beforehand; at least a shower, and if possible, a light douche. Agree, I don’t shame anyone for whatever is going on with their butt. If the client wants to bottom, I insist they prepare beforehand. I have all the equipment clean, sanitized, and available for anyone that wants to use it in studio. It’s no big deal to take breaks for this as needed. I understand some clients won’t have access to equipment at home, or may be coming from work or what have you. It’s handy to have everything ready in studio. I find most of my clients who request or agree to anything in their bum are prepared. And definitely a shower before we start is important (I’m not rimming unless he’s showered!!). A few very inexperienced guys aren’t prepared but these tend to be those that describe themselves as straight but curious and they decide they want to try something in the moment rather than it being premeditated. I’ve never suggested to any client that they douche immediately before the session, or during it, especially if anything large is going inside because I know from my own experience that I need time for things to settle down. I remember one out call client I visited who had only just finished douching as I arrived. During the session it became very messy, so he freshened up, douched again and we restarted but with the same result. He got increasingly anxious so I suggested we avoid any penetration, which helped him to relax and finish the session. I’m sure had he douched a few hours earlier it would have been better.
