In a perfect world, you'd be exactly right.

However, this isn't a perfect world and truly anonymous, unplanned sex turns a lot of guys on.  While letting their dick do all the thinking, I've heard some incredible (both sexy and stupid) stories of situations people have gotten themselves into. 

With many guys, that edge of fear is what makes the experience work.  It heightens a situation.  An overplanned 'scene' is what ruins it for them.
