Did you ever tell a provider about reviews on this forum?

I’m curious to know. 
Recently, my decision on hiring someone (masseur or escort) is heavily based on info I can dig up on this forum, and I was wondering if I should let that person know that he has a great reviews. I’ve been asked couple of times how I found him and why hired. I usually say that I found him on RM but seems like everyone knows that those reviews are not always genuine.
How do you approach that situation?

I have, occasionally.  I can't remember if the escort asked me to write a review or I made the initial offer, but however it came up, I've told him a review here counts more for me than a rent.men review.

Good question…I’ve never told anyone I’ve hired about this forum.  I’ve always wondered how they would react. Curious to read everyone’s opinions

I tend to keep quiet about it because provider reaction is really a mixed bag. I’ve heard dozens of comments from “thanks…keep talking me up” to “My attorneys will be contacting your webmaster to remove all posts about me”.

I know that some providers are here as well. Actively answering questions and commenting reviews. I was wondering how they react to that.

all across the scale....I might?? have said once or twice that I found out about them thru "an internet forum I'm on that discusses providers".....this can lead to gratefulness or paranoia, of course......I occasionally will tell providers the forum address and suggest they look thru it and consider joining.....others may enthusiastically ask me to write a RM review.....one good provider was very concerned about privacy and asked me to not say anything and to delete what I'd already written.....others don't care.....

like I said, across the spectrum!......if you're concerned about what to say if they ask how you found them, I suppose honesty is the best policy......if they have a concern about what you say, try to accommodate their concern and be honest, I guess......

I agree. I usually to just keep this forum to myself but I will say I do value the opinions of the providers that are on here. They actually contribute a lot of valuable feedback.

On occasion I have shared it with providers, but not always.  Most often it is in answering the question, "so how did you find me?" with a response, "a recommendation from an online acquaintance."  If there's a follow up question, I go inot more details.

Very few post in this forum but even those who don't post occasionally check their feedback. 

RM also allows clients to ask others directly about their experience with a specific escort by IM.

Daddy used to warn escorts about an upcoming negative review, his advice was always to move on.

I mentioned this Forum to JDDaniels once and he went into full blown hysterics and meltdown mode.  Taught me a lesson going forward....not all escorts think highly of this Forum. I tread carefully now.

That’s pretty much verbatim what I said, when I was asked by perhaps 3 or 4 different guys.

It was a satisfactory answer for most…but one guy (a genuinely nice guy and skilled lover with excellent reviews) was upset. He said “Please don’t put any details about me online” and “How do I get my reviews removed?”

For me, a trusted provider told me about this site in either late 1999 or early 2000, and not because he wanted a review. We stayed friends of sorts until 2005. He was known as Jonathan from Philadelphia and New Jersey.

There has been a lot of talk about guys who prefer to remain under the radar and see  reviews as overexposure.

Escort agencies were still around when this site started.  One could call up an agent and request a "special guest" for a weekend or a week. They would  fly in a fellow  like Billy  Brandt  who was mentioned quite far favorably here.  Often the escort would be from  Texas or California.

Amazing how quickly the evenings  and overnights were booked

Billy Brandt lived in Denver and New Jersey.

JD is prone to throwing fits of hysterics, at least in my experience. I once submitted an RM review that questioned his photos and that was enuff to ignite him 

Recently a couple of great providers I did a threesome with found out about my comments which were favourable on this Forum and contacted me about how pleased they were. I had also given them a 5 star on RM.

95% of escorts out there don't know about this forum.  I don't think they'd care one way or the other if they're being discussed.

The concept of this as a viable advertising medium died when Hooboy died.  The forums haven't really been at their peak since.

Those of us (escorts) who are left come here in an attempt to balance things out a bit.  

This all continues because there's value (both entertainment and otherwise) in the mix of personalities here.

I have "warned" providers when they were badmouthed on here, some by PM and others by text. All of them simply told me it didn't matter...

I’ve mentioned the forum to quite a few escorts and none of them have reacted negatively. The vast majority didn’t know it existed. I’ve told many that if I were an escort I’d want to read what clients are saying about a number of issues discussed here because it may be helpful for marketing strategies or help in understanding clients’ points of view. I can’t imagine any escort I’ve been with going ballistic or getting upset about the existence of our little group.

I have found the men on RM and have been fortunate as well as lucky.  ...have not had too many disappointments except for two well-known and well-reviewed escorts who shall go nameless.  [They were lauded at this site but complete duds with me.  Was I saddened?  Hell, yes!  I also chose not to relay my experiences with these particular men, for I did not want a lot of their clients (here) attacking me as I have seen happen to others.  I am all right with myself in my not sharing my experience here.  [If my memory serves me correctly, I chose not to write a review at RM as well.]

 

I have been here for as long as I choose to remember (many years), but whenever I'd had some stellar experiences, I've always written a detailed review at RM as well as at the previous "Daddy's Reviews" site.  A few guys at this site have sent me private messages inquiring about the men I've reviewed, and I've always complied candidly.

My former go-to-guy in San Francisco and I saw each for almost three years pre-Covid..  From that time I've written about three reviews about our time.  Each time that we were together, he always made it a point to thank me, for he relayed that his client base did increase once his new clients had read the reviews along with their having taken interest in his ad and his photos that are there.

Because of Covid, I have not seen him or anyone.  Currently, I have a sciatica nerve problem and don't want to engage the services/expertise of anyone, but at times I tell myself that I should ring my handsome, hard, hung, uncut Latino (Puerto Rican) and require that he provide me with the hottest of play (above and beyond) what I've experienced in the past. 

Last week I sent him an IM on RM and shared with him that I do hope to see him once I'm completely physically able to do so.  In the message I told him that I truly missed his company.  I'm awaiting a response.

In conclusion, I've emailed the clients of some escorts who've been reviewed on Rentmen and inquired about the men they've reviewed.  I've mainly done that if I am interested in the escort and he'd received a poor review from the client.  Most have gotten back to me.

I've mentioned this site to a few professionals; mostly those who are just starting out in the business.  I do it so they could read into what clients what (no upsells, not cutting time short, etc.). I've never got any indication that they were upset or offended, or that they followed through with checking out this site.  If they were discussed on this site and that's how I found them, I'll mention that to them

I have only reviewed one escort and three I have seen are members. I did tell the one escort I reviewed that I left a review but considering I gave him a review on both RM and Daddy's, he might only know about the rentmen one.

To me, it seems peculiar, needing to bring up this forum to a provider.

I can't think of any reason to do it.  Seems uncomfortable and weird.
