+ DrownedBoy
I don't know how well Google Translate works, but I've tried to use this once, but with bad results. Has anyone else here been in this situation (as provider or client)? Since I'm into role-playing when I hire, I need to be able to explain complicated instructions. + Pensant

Guest
More seriously there are paid live translation services - you call a number that connects you to a human speaker who will be an interpreter ( I use this for my business - it’s not free obviously but depending on the language quite reasonable ) Im curious how complex your encounters can be that even google can’t help Edited October 10, 2021 by jetlow
+ Pensant
Perhaps learn a new language? I have no problem with Spanish, French or German-speaking providers; but, I have to say that communicating with a super cute Ukrainian provider a few years ago was challenging. He was from a small town and, unlike most of his peers, didn’t speak English. Since I was traveling I didn’t have my usual accoutrements, so vanilla worked. rn901

I did that once, to see if it would save time. It did. However, I have to admit, my RP is pretty weird, and I prefer to stick with providers who either comprehend English, or have enough education to understand my words. jeezifonly
jeezifonly
I don’t think that I would plan a hookup with a non-English-speaker. However, if hot Spaniard at a party backed me into a corner and started to make out with me, I’m likely to learn in no time. jackboy48

+ DrownedBoy
Too bad. I was studying Spanish on Duolingo, until the pandemic hit and removed my motivation. I'll need to retake the lessons. However, I can confirm that mastering the first 5 lesson groups didn't help at all when hiring 🤨 liubit and + nycman

Lol, honestly even from the escort perspective that's how it is. Most clients aren't interested in much talk but want to get down to business. I've met clients I couldn't communicate with due to language and we meet, hug and they typically start getting me undressed and down to business. Guest davebk
To be honest, I’ve found that the language barrier, if it truly is a total difference, even the universal language of “take charge and do what you want” just doesn’t lead to a fulfilling experience. I can do with a little bumbling with someone who has little English, but not with a total non speaker.
+ purplekow
It seems that facial expression,. reaction to stimulation and of course all types of body language should be enough but if not just learn a few key phrases and plow ahead or play behind as the case may be. + purplekow
Failing that, write out the scenario, translate it into whichever languages you need and then write down and memorize a few key instructions which may be needed and then go from there. Failing that, perhaps finding only English speakers or diverging from your given complicated role play are the other considerations. Or hire a non judgmental translator to stand by and and fill in the gaps you are unable to fill without further instruction. SirBillybob

There is actually some apps that translate things for you in the moment. You talk in English and your phone kicks it out in the other language. It’s pretty real time. Then the other person talks into your phone and it translates it back into English. It’s actually kind of fun. I am fairly skilled at understanding things in a number of different languages but, I’m not always as fluid answering back. On several occasions, I met with somebody where our language barriers were extreme. So, I resorted to pieces of paper and stick figures. That led to a lot of fun plus a lot of surprises. It was actually really fun and funny all at the same time and it worked really well as who doesn’t love that~? I have a number of clients who are deaf. They’re better at reading lips than I am and their communication style is really concise and compacted. That’s my impression anyway. It’s a lot more efficient to communicate through ASL especially when it includes body language communication~ The one Client I had that was mute was an incredible texting communicator and what this person could convey thru touch, breathing, eyes was beyond beautiful~ The experiences were esthetic ones I would liken to Listening to some moving music, tasting a delicious bite of food or smelling a fragrant flower. In some kink/pervy/BDSM situation… Well… there may be limited ability or opportunity to talk anyway, (either on the restrained partner or the unrestrained partner). If other sensory dep is part of the play, then timing, touch, sensation and being aware of the undulation of emotions, psychology and energy exchange define the communication style~ My general rule of thumb whether the same language is spoken or not at all, is to let your eyes, kiss, touch and heart do the communicating for you. People generally understand and respond to that language. Sometimes, words can just complicate things.
