$350/hr?

I've chatted with a few escorts on Rentmen and they are all quoting $350/hr?  Is this the new standard?

The rate is what you are willing to pay and what they are willing to accept.   For me, the change from 250 to 300 was already a 20% increase and that happened about 4 years ago and the move to 350 is another 16%.  if they can get it, more power to them.  For me, the fact is I no longer need to get it that much so they do not get that much from me.  But then again, I drive a Chevy Cruze and I used to drive a Jaguar convertible.  The Cruze is not as fancy but it still gets me home.  .

Escorting is a free market economy at it’s best. 
The rate is whatever you’re willing to pay and whatever he’s willing to accept. 
If those two numbers overlap, you’ve got a deal. 
But just like all business deals, if either side feels like it’s being taken advantage of,
it’s not a good deal and it’s not going to be a good relationship.

I turn it around.... if I were a 20 something muscle boy would I have sex with me for $250. Even $350 would be a stretch so I am happy to pay. Fortunately I can afford it.

If these hourly rates seem a tad high, ask some newbies for an overnight quote. Some of the responses have been eye-popping. I have had new providers with no reputation quote the highest numbers ever. For now, I'll just sit on the sidelines and drool from a distance. 😛

Given the current COVID resurgence and reports of vaccine break-throughs, I think the concept of pricing as a function of risk vs. reward becomes central to this discussion on both sides of the transaction.

Indeed, "escorting" is a "free market" enterprise, and, thereby, a "two-way street" in any "hire": Shop around at the end of the month when the rent is coming due and consider yourself "thrifty" and not "cheap". . .

it varies a lot, I've had a couple quote $350, but I also had a guy last week only ask for $160 I'm sure they adjust their rates based on how busy they are

I've only seen that 350 rate with traveling escorts who are  models.

Unless they're a professional bodybuilder,  I tell them it's currently out of my budget.

I doubt it. Most guys charge 250/300. Some pornstar might charge 400/500 and there was some talk about a pornstar from men.com charging 1,000.

I'm surprised about that. Busy and slow days do happen but escorting is not Uber.

It’s price inflation coupled with wage stagnation. It’s been going on for 20 years now. Value of a dollar keeps going down. Only asset prices have been going up. 😉. And even with all the unfilled jobs, companies are not increasing wages (at least in my area).

Maybe it's just the mood I am in today - angry at the world, myself, the weather  . . . most things I cannot control, but what I want to know is how much per hour is enough?  $350? $500?  It's just sex.  You're not creating a masterpiece or curing cancer.  Yes, I can afford $350/hr., I just don't want to because it's unnecessary!  $300/hr. is enough to (help) get someone's rocks off.  I get it, supply and demand, but there comes a time when enough is enough.

I honestly kinda hate myself for saying this.  But go to Seeking. Takes more time etc.. and it really is two people matching up at the right time, and the right place etc..but you may find some situations more to your liking if you're willing to invest the time on the front end.

Yep. There are too many free or much less expensive alternatives now.  And you can often to a quick meet-up in at a neutral spot in advance with lots of guys so many of the apps.

well... may I remind yinz all the premonitions about "prices must go down in 2021" said during the pandemic... the opposite has happened! 

Inflation also affects those who usually get paid in cash.

Yes, the fact that he's gorgeous doesn't guarantee he'll be able to perform and pretend to have an amazing time with everybody who hires him.

$350 is too much.  $250-$300 is very reasonable.  Most clients are one and done so of course the escort will try to get as much as possible out of that one deal.
