The invisible clients that compete for the provider’s professional time are the ones driving the hourly rate up.

They’re called SuperFans. Individuals that all chip in with subscription fees. Providers get to have sex with someone as hot as they are, and the 2hrs spent shooting that scene nets them one dollar more than two hours in person with a client. It’s a disruption of the porn studio system, with much more direct benefit to the talent. In-person appearances then come at a higher price.

Hmmm. Maybe if you are a regular client you can get special pricing and treatment. I see two guys regularly; no problems.

if you've watched any of the British Harlots shows you know how competitive hookers are. Start off politely letting him know you are trying to choose and he's top of the list. Do not start out like most, sounding compulsive for him. This should be obvious but it isn't.

Unfortunately I tend to window shop these days since I'm in grad school and have to watch my money. But occasionally I can't resist and inquire about a provider to keep in mind for a special occasion. The last one I contact indeed quoted $350. I don't think he does studio porn but some OF stuff and I then realized he has a 6-figure instagram following, so I'm guessing he has enough interest to justify the number. 

I'm still waiting to stumbled on some providers who offer a student discount 😋

I found a curious pattern emerge recently: providers who have struck my fancy and who I approach who are new and unreviewed have been asking for $350, and generally only offer outcalls. As I don't negotiate, I have always just looked elsewhere.

Yes, the market does self-regulate.  Many of these guys have disappeared from RM.

This. Not enough price signals being sent.

In my experience,  it takes a few texts before I can get a rate quote from an escort, and quite a few won't respond to an initial direct question about their rates.

So both my time and the provider's gets wasted, because I'm still going to turn down a price if it's too high.

One selling approach is to try to get the potential customer to invest something first (like half an hour of waiting on texts). That doesn't work on me, or anyone else with a few brain cells.

I agree...the OnlyFans phenomena has taught these guys they can make $1000 a day jerking off on camera. So sucking some old tired queen for $200/hr. became far less appealing of a business model. Let's see what happens once O.F. bans the Xrated content.

This is what more people should be doing. Most of these guys shouldn’t even be getting $300. Of course, there are a select few that may be able to charge more, but that is subjective.

Same here. One of my regulars charges $300 but we see each other fairly regularly over the year that he makes it $250 for me even if I don't hire him every single month, and much better deals for multi-hour or overnight. But you will always find those providers that when you ask them how much for 2-3h they answer $600-900 🙄

Those are appearing in Toronto every week. Covid made many young men lose their jobs but somehow the majority of them think that they will be paid hundreds of dollars for ****ing only attractive clients in good shape - too much porn watching, I think. It's not long after 3 months or so, that they haven't collected at least 1 single review, that they disappear. Not everyone is cut for the job. In my books: new profile + 20something + no reviews = red flag.

OnlyFans reverses ban on sexually explicit content after backlash from content creators (nbcnews.com)

and if OnlyFans had banned them another platform would have come up or take over. Capitalism in action!

Well ....apparently someone at OnlyFans finally figured out they were going to be bankrupt in a matter of days without their porn partners.

Just like pornstars figured it out they didn't need the middle man (porn studios) to reach their audience. No wonder Austin Wolf and so many others moved on from escorting.
