For the past month it seems like many escorts have been raising their rates in Chicago by 50 an hour.

I'm not going for it - most of them are n00bs who want a quick buck. Once the post pandemic horniness dies down, unemployment bonuses end, and the eviction moratorium ends, I'm sure the market will change.

Met with a standard twink in NYC today and he was good with 300. After the meeting, he asked for a 100$ tip as he said that normally he asks for 500… What was I supposed to do??? I quickly paid him 100 to make him go away. 

400 is more for an Adonis muscle god. And, even some of them are happy with 300.

Other than that, I've only seen rates lower than $300/h for multi-hour or "regular client rate".

Gentleman, We all need to be a little more compassionate toward each other. Those of us that have the ability to hire, especially after the last 18 months, are probably better off than before. Why not spread a bit of that to those guys that for one reason or the other are willing to bring some fun into our lives. No, I am not going to pay ridiculous sums, but I will tell you that there is some outstanding talent out there that I am happy to pay for the enjoyment they bring. If its a little more than in the past, so is everything else. Granted there are those deals that we all run across, but generally I find that you get what you pay for. Just enjoy it and be glad these service providers exist.

$300 does seem to be the normal. Whenever I inquire a rate from a provider that's what I usually am expecting to hear. Anything above is a quick no and a $200 or $250 rate is a pleasant surprise.

I meant that I find your statement judgmental. In my experience, premium service does not equal premium rates. Additionally, there are many reasons why a provider would choose to charge a lower rate, specially in a highly competitive market. I meant that if our criteria to find premium service is looking at the prices, we will get disappointed.

Of course there are scammers who charge $300 and don't deliver. It happens in every industry. I never said that $300 is Premium but, nowadays, the normal. If you consider it to be Premium that's different and I respect it. I talked about established providers in big metropolitan areas, then prices should be looked at in the context of the provider's attributes and REVIEWS.
