Back to Chicago, I am glad that I made it to Palm Springs last weekend and got to enjoy some time with this amazing group of guys. It was my first time in there and I know for sure that I’ll have many more future visits. Thank you Oliver for hosting a lovely pool party.

I can understand the desire for anonymity. If I'm lucky enough to attend a future Palm Springs weekend, I'd feel the same way. But (you knew there was a "but" coming, right?) how about in a future weekend some of the escorts get together & pose for some pics? Anonymity is less of an issue, even a nonissue, for them since they already have ads on Rentmen, etc. All escort photos would of course be clothing optional *hint hint*

BSR and jjkrkwood I personally have mixed feeling about an escort group photo being posted. I don't like the very idea of having cameras present which is a bit absurd, on my part, because we all have phones capable of taking photos. Frankly the idea will have to be run by our host and he, and he alone, will make the call as he does regarding all aspects of the Weekend. Thank you for that rule, Epigonos. As someone who attended this past weekend's festivities, I appreciated not having photos and perhaps doing so also gives an incentive for people who missed out to actually come and show up in the future!

I encourage suggestions for how the Weekend might be enhanced, with some exceptions:

 

I will choose the dates.

 

There will be an early Saturday evening dinner at a specific time and venue.

 

There will be a Sunday afternoon pool event at my temporary residence with certain restrictions (clothing not one of them. ? )

 

Ideas about a Sunday evening dinner are requested. Any other thoughts or ideas are solicited, specifically from those of you who have attended.

Let's hope that there is a website and an event in Palm Springs next year. If the website ends, then @Oliver's mailing list would be quite helpful in notifying people of his plans. We would still get all the fuss!

I think for many that havent attended (like myself) and might be considering it, the perception is that its an event for "beautiful" people, young, great bodies, huge cocks etc...... And I totally understand and respect anonymity, i do, but perhaps if there was some way of showing perspectives that all types of men attend, it would make them feel more secure and confident about attending ?

There was a pic posted by David-SF of the tree planting at the recent event, that should the "backs" of several members, and to that point showed that most were just "average" guys with average bods, and that was reassuring, and should encourage others who have seen the pic to re-assess what they thought.

My perception was different. I expected the people who attended the pool party would be similar to men I'd see in a gay bar or gay lounge with male dancers (which is quite diverse here in NYC age-wise and body-wise.) Overall everyone was friendly and easy to talk to.

Jjkrkwood I'll state this right up front. Most of us who attend the Palm Springs Weekend are anything but "physically" beautiful people, young and with great bodies. We represent a cross section of regular guys mostly in their 50's, 60's, 70's and even 80's who post on this site. Traditionally those with beautiful bodies and huge cocks are the escorts in attendance. If the above information isn't sufficient to assure possible future attendees that they don't have to be gorgeous to attend then I'm afraid they are simply out of luck. A group photograph of the all the client types smiling and waving at the camera (or something similar) simply isn't going to happen.
