+ jeezopete Posted April 25, 2024 Posted April 25, 2024 The Traitors on Peacock. I've watched both US seasons, both Australian seasons and just finished both UK seasons. The first season from New Zealand has 2 more episodes to drop on Peacock I believe, then I'll start watching that. I honestly wasn't that interested when the show first started, but began watching the US season 1 because it had some former contestants from Big Brother and Survivor that I wanted to see. I really knew nothing about this show, but it has become my favorite program to binge now. It's really interesting how differently each season plays out, and how they vary from country to country. A couple of the finales have been very tense to watch, especially the season 2 finale of the UK version that I just finished watching a few minutes ago. If you haven't seen The Traitors, give it a shot.
TonyDown Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 S1 of The Bear was so good I wondered if S2 could live up to the hype. I binge watched S2, spoiler free. So good! I watched a scene in epi-7 3 times. S3 is nearly here. Danny-Darko and thomas 1 1

Johnrom Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 It’s several years old. “ The Americans “ is such a great series. Something like six seasons. If you have not seen it yet, it is a must see. About Russian spies who raise their kids in America. Set in the early 1980s. Great storylines. Very strong acting. Good music. 🎶 Another good one that just dropped on Netflix. “ Escape from dannemora.” About the prison escape from the Max security prison in upstate NY. Six or seven episodes. Ben Stiller produced it. Paul Dano and Benecio Del Toro. + Cash4Trash, + DERRIK, Jim_n_NYC and 2 others 3 2

Jim_n_NYC Posted November 15, 2024 Posted November 15, 2024 We tend to sign up for services (sometimes for free with promos) for a month or two to watch what we want then dump the service (I see no need to ever keep a service constantly, just not that much interesting new content being added frequently enough). Probably by now we've signed up for every major service at least once, and a couple a few times. Currently, we have AppleTV+ for free for 6 months with Tmobile. Foundation: almost finished first season, then on to the next (I've read every one of Asimov's Foundation books, including the prequels) Silo: 1st season (2nd season drops tonight) Dark Matter: 1st season (it's supposedly up for a 2nd season, but the 1st came to such a definitive end, not sure how good it'd be going forward) Severance: 1st season, major cliff hanger ending (renewed for a 2nd) For All Mankind: all 4 seasons (interesting alt-history, but I felt like Kinnaman's and VanSanten's acting were a bit one dimentional. My first intro to Wrenn Schmidt who I liked a lot) I've queued The Essex Serpent, and Disclaimer for once I'm done with Foundation. A couple of series I need to go back and finish off on other services: The Last Kingdom (final season and movie), The Expanse (final season)

Glad I stuck with Disclaimer. Turns into a real ride with big turn at the end. I’m totally immersed in Brit spy series Slow Horses… first reading each book then watching the series season. Some of the change ups from page to screen are interesting and clever, others make zero sense. But generally true to the books so far and the cast is top notch. This series along with Bad Sisters may keep me on Apple TV+. Looking forward to starting Silo. The books were great. Edited December 7, 2024 by EVdude

Becket Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Bored on a Saturday afternoon I ran across The Agency, now playing on Showtime. I'm hooked. It's very much like the show Homeland that ran the past decade. Spies, current events, etc. Homeland was usually set against the Iraq/Afghanistan conflicts. This show incorporates the war in Ukraine. It is very current and has wonderful actors and complex story lines. You need to catch up from the beginning, but I highly recommend it. thomas, whmf and Rod Hagen 2 1

+ EVdude Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Anyone watch Landman on Paramount? Great cast… Billy Bob Thornton, John Hamm, Demi Moore, Ali Larter. Having worked in the oil field in my first job out of school, it grabbed me and I binged the entire season in one sitting! Quite the ride and now the long wait for season 2. MikeBiDude and Nightowl 2
+ ApexNomad Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Anyone watch Season 2 of Squid Game? I enjoyed it. Tough act to follow after season 1, but they managed to ramp up the stakes and deepen the story. It explores the game’s origins and the people behind it. The new players and games keep things fresh, with interesting twists. It doesn’t have the same shock factor as the first season, but the emotional depth and moral dilemmas keep it gripping. I’m curious to see where it goes next in the third and final season. Ali Gator Posted April 13 Posted April 13 This past week I watched the 'season finale' of 'White Lotus' and the 'series finale' of 'Yellowstone' (I never realized part 2 of the series final was released in November - finally caught up with it) and '!923'. 'White Lotus' was a slog-though this season, while Taylor Sheridan's 'Yellowstone' and '1923' was worth watching every minute. I recommend the latter two if you have never seen them. Now I need to catch up on the last season release of 'Outlander' - I forgot that part 2 of that season was released last year, and I need to continue with S2 of 'Interview with the Vampire' (I started / stopped about a month ago). Looking forward to the new seasons of 'Hacks' and 'Handmaid's Tale' returning in a few weeks.

pubic_assistance Posted April 14 Posted April 14 We recently binged Season 4 of "You" (with Penn Badgley). We've enjoyed the previous seasons. This one goes darker in preparation for Season 5 which premiers at the end of the month. Solid production, acting/directing all well done. Of course you need to have the stomach to endure lots of torture, and brutal murder ...it's not for everyone.
