Been there, done that.  Was in the church for 18 years.  Finally couldn't deal with leading the double life anymore and came out.  Got divorced.  Never looked back.  Best decision I ever made in my life.

I think a word was left out of the post you quoted, since I was about to make a similar point: If someone is a traveling escort who satisfies clients, it seems like the best source of business is to let satisfied clients know in advance of your visit to their area.  I'm not suggesting spamming former clients repeatedly who don't become regulars, but if a client indicates at the end of the session that he'd hire the escort again when he returns to the area then it makes sense for that escort to send that client a text with his travel plans and an offer to schedule an appointment.  That's how my most frequent hire became a regular for me -- he'd tell me when he was visiting, I'd book an appointment, and both of us kept our commitments.

It's not just the privacy issue, it's that if you CC everyone, anyone replying also has the option of CCing everyone, so the whole group has just been added to a email thread that's now going to fill their inbox.  Were you to BCC the list, replies could only go to you, rather than spamming everyone.

Many of the people on a distribution are strangers to one another, and most people don’t want to give their names and email to strangers. Send it to yourself and add all the recipients in bcc. (B for Blind, meaning the distribution itself is not disclosed.) Thank him for the response and follow his advice.

@Unicorn I don't think it's a hanging offence but it's an increasingly common view that it's bad form to share other people's private e-mail addresses unless you're sure they would be happy with that. Even if you think they know each other, you won't always know what the state of their current relationship is.
Using BCC rather than TO or CC is the easiest way to do this. Some e-mail apps allow you to create address lists that I'm pretty sure don't allow recipients to see the actual addresses that are included in it.  Some time ago I received an e-mail about a reunion that had all the addresses in the TO line and even though I hadn't really thought about it before, I thought then it probably wasn't the best way to do it. (Later correspondence used the BCC method, and not on my suggestion.)

Speaking of snail mail and telephone, I can remember rotary dial phones and party lines.  You could hear some pretty interesting conversations that way.
I remember flying Eastern, National, Piedmont, TWA...all gone now with mega mergers.
Try explaining an 8-track to high school students.  lol.  They think you are speaking a foreign language.

    I remember....
...Friday night "must see" TV was Nanny and the Professor, The Partridge Family, and The Brady Bunch.  If I was good, I was allowed to stay up and watch Love, American Style.
...being allowed to fall asleep on the sofa and awakened just before we landed and walked on the moon (July, 1969).
...my parents sending me to the corner grocery store with $1 to buy them cigarettes.  I'd return with two packs of smokes and 10-cents change.
...the first car I remember my dad driving was a 1960 Mercury Comet.  AM radio, no seatbelts, and the "air conditioner" was two small doors underneath the dashboard, one each on the driver and passenger side.  When you opened the doors, the hot air circulating under the hood would blow into the car.
...my father pulling that car into the neighborhood full-service Esso (before it was Exxon), telling the owner he wanted $1 worth of gas.  We left with over 3 gallons of gas, a clean windshield, oil checked, and a souvenir "Put a Tiger in your Tank" glass.

FWIW I was planning to see you in Portland when I saw you on Rentmen. When I found out it was going to cost me $25 to just log onto your website it just seemed like more of a hassle than it was worth. Wound up seeing someone else who was more user friendly. Sorry

Be thankful he only had one dog with him.  If you see him in LA, his home base, he has two of those dogs...a male and a female.  He sometimes travels with them both, too.  As previously said, not the most relaxing experience.

In any service industry, providers may charge whatever people are willing to pay.  If they charge too much, they either adjust or go broke.
Consumers get to decide how much they are willing to pay.
I don't know why this question keeps coming up, its not complicated.

I agree with this, but when people say “hey, let him ask what he wants. Why are we nitpicking him because he’s asking for a high rate?” this is usually my analogy.
If you’re asking Rolls Royce prices but you’re selling a ‘78 Dodge Dart, you’d better expect some flack and negative feedback.
