Years ago I met in Romeo a young guy just out of high school. We kept meeting regularly for years and helped him with acting school fees. He became a successful actor and we still see each other. This happened in my small country, not in Hollywood.

Once again... You do not compare apples to apples. I do not need to be sexually attracted to my doctor, so I do not care if he is black or asian (not that there are many in my city ? ). But I have to be sexually attracted to my sexual partners and I am not sexually attracted to blacks and asians, so my sexual partners cannot be blacks and asians, therefore my sexual partners have to be caucasians. Pure logic.
 
Furthermore my sexual partners have to have many other attributes so I can be attracted to them. They have to be young, smooth, charming, witty, cultured, refined, polished, well mannered and the list goes on and on. So what I am trying to reiterate here is that race is a pixel of the whole picture of sexual attractiveness.

About a year ago I am home with a guy I met via Instagram. First time compensated meeting. We have a drink we chat. I am seeing three young actors. They are good-looking, nice, clever, educated, polished, cultured and the list can go on and on. They are struggling with their careers, they play in small theatres, in experimental productions, short films you get the picture. They are also struggling with their finances, even the one who comes from a wealthy family. They paid for acting school by escorting and sponsors, including yours truly. They are in their mid 20s and have been trying to get their careers off the ground for 5 or more years with little to no success. But they do not give up, they keep on tying, without a thought of making a career change while they can. I admire them for their courage and determination although I am concerned on their future. I am tempted to give parental advise, be the voice of reason but I shut up. I don't like to play daddy (no pun intended) and I am not sure what to advise either - success may be round the corner.
 
I am sure that many others in the forum had similar experiences and thoughts to share.

I am not sure it was mid life related but I decided to get rid of driving. Sold my expensive mercedes and started using a limo service. I live in the city centre and enjoy the convenience of not having to drive.

I use my phone number on WhatsApp with my name and a clear face photo. I understand some people are concerned but this is 2021. Nobody cares.

Teach me your ways. I absolutely do this with my friends. I hate that I do this and would love to learn how to be better.
I have good friends that can’t afford to travel. I don’t invite them on vacation with me unless I offer to pay which presents a whole host of other problems.
 
I have friends with kids. They can’talways afford to accept dinner invitations to certain restaurants because feeding 5 at a nice place is different from feeding 2.
I have countless other examples of situations like this. How do you NOT segment your friends by their monetary value?

He doesn't look particularly "high end."

Yes, I met an incredibly beautiful guy ( green eyes, brown hair, James Dean style looks) via backpage in 2016. We met several times while he lived in San Francisco. Although he never told me this, some minor internet sleuthing revealed he was the son of a pastor from the Midwest, a college graduate with a decent day job, and a large social circle. I really fell for him. But alas, he moved to NYC. I followed him on his Insta. He would post almost daily. One day all these RIP messages started pouring on his last Insta post. When I messaged the poster of one of those messages, I learned my guy passed away in NYC at 33 .. either suicide or accidental OD. I couldn't get out of bed for days. I remember him to this day. Such a tragedy!

I used to admire their bare-chested male greeters outside the store.
 
I marveled at their hubris in opening a store on Savile Row in London, and I was astounded by the homoerotic decoration inside the store. What surprised me was that the young Englishmen acting as greeters there were even better looking, more ripped and muscled than their counterparts at the Fifth Avenue store in NYC.
 
I didn’t rate their clothes (too rough cotton) although, to be fair, their underwear was very well-made. But the main reason that I remain fond of the brand is that I got to play (separately) with 2 of their cover models

I find him rude and certainly not in the upper market. My experience with models and instagramers is that they are extremely good in communication. They know how play the game and they would never use "what's your budget". He is also too short for a model and too muscled. Not for me.
