He’s right. I guess I’m one of the ‘older’ guys in the business - in the daddy category. There’s no shortage of younger guys wanting a daddy experience, and prepared to hire for it. There’s also plenty of older guys looking for things that older providers can provide that younger guys can’t or won’t do, such as intimacy, being empathetic and actually turning up on time not being hung over or high and treating their client as a person rather than just another punter (apologies to those younger guys in the business who are professional- I don’t mean to stereotype, younger reliable guys do exist but are not easy to find in the crowd!)
That’s the other thing. There’s loads of younger guys doing sex work, with a wide range of quality. There’s far fewer older guys, and those who are doing it have stuck around at it because they’re good. People hire for all sorts of reasons and age is not necessarily a factor that matters for many of those reasons.

I really don’t need or want clients to send me pictures. I kind of like the surprise when I open the door. When someone turns up I’d not mistake them for Amazon or a pizza delivery guy. The former tends to dump his parcel outside and if I mistook the latter then it would be a great porn scene wouldn’t it?  🙂
Seriously though, if it makes a client feel better to send a pic then I’m not going to refuse it…but I won’t comment on it. I just say thanks.

I’m not bothered to know what they look like although sometimes clients will send a picture. I can make guesses by the way they book (no one under 40 will book by phone call for example) or by language used when messaging. 
Clients do sometimes ask “was I what you expected?” or something along those lines. It’s difficult to answer. What do you say? “No I was hoping for George Clooney” or “well at least you’ve got a pulse so that’s something”  or “there’s so much more of you than I expected”.  
The truth is it really doesn’t matter. As @Simon Suracisays it’s not a consideration beyond practicalities. I care that they’re a nice person and that they have a great time. More important is the environment we’re using. That’s much more of a consideration. The room has to be suitable so I do much more thinking about that than I do the actual client I’m meeting. 

 

I think what you said in the last paragraph is key.  I'm an average looking guy and could use to lose 15-20 pounds.  But I always treat my providers nicely and with respect and in return they all show me a fantastic time.   And if you rehire I find the providers will figure out new ways to have fun and enjoy.  So yes, be nice and that niceness will come back to you!
I recently left a review for a provider I see every couple months.  He was so appreciative that he texted me that he has an extra special session planned for next time we meet.  Friday should be fun!

If you get anxious about it then you tend to tense up and then it does become difficult. The trick is to relax. After the initial pain if you can relax a little then you’ll find it becomes easier, and enjoyable. Find a top who is considerate and who is versatile because he’ll understand better how it feels. 
I rarely bottom because I prefer to top but if I do bottom (whether that’s in porn or for a client - I don’t bottom recreationally) I find it’s best to try different positions because some are more comfortable than others. I also prefer to be in control of the depth and pace etc if I bottom (but that’s probably just me preferring to take the active role!).

I think this could be because sex work is legal in the UK. You don’t need to hide behind a euphemistic massage therapist label and be coy about rates and services as is necessary in the US where selling sexual services is against the law. Everything can be communicated clearly in a society where attitudes to these things is mature. 
The other reason is the restrictions of RentMasseur’s system. My rates are on my RentMasseur profile but their page doesn’t give much flexibility: just an in call and out call rate. You can’t quote for different durations or styles or services…at least not when I last updated my profile. But I quote more rate details on my website. The thing is, you can put the basics on the website, rates for the different durations etc but clients sometimes want special things like a 4 hands, or their partner to watch, or for me to play a role (e.g. sports coach massaging player after the game and…well you guessed it…the player gets feedback on their game😂) and those things can take extra so for those it’s ’ask me’. 

So glad to know I am not the only one with super hard-wired nipples.   I've had many partners who don't enjoy it at all.   Second to kissing, it gets me juiced and ready to go faster than anything.
 

For escorts: I look for at least one good review from a long-time contributor on Company of Men.  It can even be a few years old (I laugh when I see men "bumping" reviews asking for recent experience, when others have posted mere hours or days prior with their experience).
For masseurs: I look for someone with a reasonable price.  I do not necessarily need to see good reviews, but I check to make sure there are no bad reviews.  I do not pay up front, so I do not worry about patronizing a massuer with no reviews yet.  For even if the massuer provides a less than stellar massage or non-sensual experience, I will at least have had a relaxing session at a reasonable price.

I avoid rimming once something has gone in there and if it comes out it’s not squeaky clean. I find that happens with clients sometimes. It’s much less prevalent if I’m filming porn because guys bottoming tend to be really good at douching. You can do things like ass to mouth and be confident it’s all ok.

I notice that because I’m large a lot of clients want me to top. The same applies when making films, I usually top. So generally in my professional sex (that’s what I call work sex) I’m a top. But for recreational sex I usually like to bottom. Perhaps it’s because it’s different.
Overall to me though it doesn’t matter, I like both roles (even at the same time  😈). It’s just that sometimes it’s simply more practical to top, or even to do everything else but penetrate. Nothing internal but lots of cuddling, body contact, frontage, hand jobs and kissing etc. That can be a fantastic session without the ‘pressure’ to penetrate anything.
