KK913 got a reaction from + azdr0710 in Were you in a college fraternity?
Pledged and initiated into Kappa Sigma in the mid 80’s. Had no idea what Rush was and tagged along with some friends who also ended up joining. I was a naive teenager and extremely shy in high school. This experience was the best part of my college life. While I was glad to graduate and leave fraternity life for a couple of decades, when I think about it, it brings back the best memories.

KK913 got a reaction from ICTJOCK in Calf muscle injury
Thank you. I saw a podiatrist on Monday and he examined my calf. Taking the conservative treatment route and he wrapped my lower leg with a compression bandage and using crutches at the moment. Wrote a prescription for physical therapy once l am past the acute injury phase.
I guess I’m just curious on how the healing process works. Does the muscle tear just grow back together over time? When I try to extend my leg, the calf is really tight and tender. When the muscle has some blood flow, it feels better and easier to lengthen the calf muscle. I have work has me on my feet and moving a lot so I want to make sure I’m not doing anything to make it worse.

Basically, he took two sick days from work. He did not need to apologize for being sick, but he did need to express condolences about your time together being interrupted At the least, after he was well again, a compensatory offer should have been made. It would have been awkward for you to bring it up, but as he did not, you should have done so. Something along the lines of: I know you feel bad about not being at your best for our weened together, but I am confident you will make up for that the next time we get together. would be a way to initiate such a conversation.
If he gives no indication of any type of remorse for the interrupted weekend and does not see fit to try and make up for it, I believe you should consider it a Lost Weekend and him a Lost Companion.

Given that you are a long-standing client, you should have a refund; you paid "upfront" for services to be provided, and, by your representation, the provider did not deliver on the services. ""Escorting" is a business, not a charity, and the rules of "doing business" apply; as a matter of fact, providers and clients often do not observe and follow the rules. At this point, unfortunately, you must consider your monetary loss as an act of charity. Given that he has not offered so much as "I reget in becoming ill and giving you cause for disappointment", I would "cut him loose" as a "steady date".

Yes, he should have.
I think it's only fair to at least have a discussion about a rate decrease for the trip. That he never even addressed it is problematic to me.
Yes, we all get sick and that can't be helped, but if you're an escort who's down and out on a prepaid trip, offering a discount or future credit would be the professional thing to do.

Unless I learn of extenuating circumstances, I have little sympathy for the situation she finds herself in. She could have killed anyone who had stepped into that street at the speed she was driving. Totally heedless of others safety.

KK913 reacted to Epigonos in Do you find tip jars at parties tacky?
I find this topic highly interesting. I entertain a great deal. I never have my parties catered as I love doing all the cooking myself. Most of my parties are small sit-down dinners with six to eight guests. My place is small, about twelve hundred square feet plus a small-nice patio. Three or four times a year, however, I do host large gatherings usually forty to fifty attendees. With that many guests, in my small place, the dinner is served buffet style. I set up an elaborate drink table in the patio and guests make their own drinks thus they can make them as weak or strong as they like. I have one wonderful friend who, I have learned, is not happy being a guest. She prefers to be involved thus she helps me by setting up the buffet table and seeing that the drink table remains well stocked. She thoroughly enjoys being “useful” and makes my life a great deal easier. I do not even mind doing all the clean-up after the party, it gives me time to wind down and relax. A week or so after the party I take my friend out to dinner to a nice restaurant where we enjoy dissecting the party discussing things to keep and things to discard for my next gathering – great fun for the both of us.
One of the highlights of the Palm Springs Weekend, for me, is preparing and serving nearly all the food for the Sunday Pool Party. I stay at our hosts condominium and am thus able to do all the prep work on Friday afternoon and all-day Saturday. I start cooking early Sunday morning. Sometimes I think our host would like to kill me as I become very possessive of his kitchen.
P.S. Now to answer the specific question on this thread. I absolutely loathe tip jars under any and all circumstances, including at Starbucks. I am a very generous tipper and do NOT need to be reminded to do so.

I feel it’s a shame that most of the obituaries of her don’t mention her charitable efforts for cancer research.
She was a tireless fundraiser for years and she attracted millions of dollars for cancer research. I hope the cancer research centre that bears her name in Melbourne, Australia will continue to honour her.

I agree with the others, do not pursue the firm for your legal needs. Cancel the appointment... it doesn't matter if it's 9 am tomorrow, just call at 8 and say you need to cancel because you have become aware of a conflict. You do not need to elaborate, and can decline to explain if asked. But then you are no longer wasting your time or their time. Most likely they're busy and will be grateful that they will be able to use the time productively for something else.
I had a potential job interview a few weeks ago. All through the day leading up to the interview I began having second thoughts, and ultimately came to the conclusion that I didn't want the job. So I canceled the interview two hours before it was scheduled. Short notice, yes, but better than wasting everyone's time.
As for whether to let on to your provider that you know about his day job, I'd keep it to yourself if I were you. This hobby involves discretion, which can involve not disclosing everything we may know, whether we are providers or clients. Allow him to take the lead on disclosing anything personal about himself.

Do NOT keep the appointment and DO find another lawyer/firm to represent you. Even if your escort-at-law is not involved in your case, his firm is, and that creates an intolerable conflict of interest for the firm, at least in the sense of the appearance of impropriety.
Also, although you and he have every right to carry on a relationship, consider two things and the effect either could have on his legal career. First, a law firm is generally circumspect, so having an associate in a same-sex relationship, especially with a client of the firm, may not be an image the partners would like to see presented to the public, and might have them re-think his employment status. Secondly, having an associate involved in an activity that constitutes a violation of the criminal code would, even if undiscovered by the authorities, be an even greater threat to his employment, not just at his current firm, but possibly any other one, ever.
I am mystified that an attorney would engage in what I see as such reckless behavior, and if he is brought down by his own choices, it is his own doing. The army has a phrase for it: you done shit in your mess kit. But I would not want to be a willing participant in such a demise. If he's agreeable to a non-financial fling or friendship, have a go at it. If not, Walk away. Quickly.

KK913 reacted to + WestGuy in Escort I hired is a Lawyer
Personally speaking (and as a lawyer myself) I would say do not go to the meeting and find a different law firm to represent you. Not sure where you live, but I live in the NYC area and there are LOTS of lawyers to choose from. You might also consider the effect you may have on your companion. He has only met you once and doesn't know what kind of a person you are. If you eventually establish a relationship with him and you are comfortable with each other, he might disclose his "day job" to you. Since he is not aware that you know about his "day" job, seeing you in the office would likely engender a bad reaction in him. He might be concerned that his sex work would become known to his firm, which could result in his dismissal and possibly sanctioning by the state bar. I think you will do both of you a big favor by foregoing the appointment with his law firm and not mentioning it to him at your next meet up.

First 48 hours ice and elevate (Slow down the inflammation)
After that, heat and gently start using again (Speed up the healing).
I don’t think there any real science behind that though.
Personally, I always do which ever one feels better,
and for me that’s usually ice and elevate.

I wanted to see if anyone has any current feedback on this masseur who goes by Alex (as well as Max and some other names). He’s been reviewed in the past with mixed feedback.
if anyone has recently had a session with him, I would love to hear your feedback. The big questions are - is he a skilled therapist, does he provide sensual elements (nude, MT, HE) and if so, was that discussed prior to booking or was it organic? Please feel to PM me if discretion is necessary.
Thanks in advance!

Well, ended up taking a whole pill cuz they are too small to cut in half (being the generic, not the standard blue pill) and I was worried about walking around NYC with a boner, LOL. Honestly, didn't really notice anything until I got stimulated during the session...and then the pill really kicked in. 😋

if you're fully hosting the party (guests don't pay for the drinks and they know that) and if it's at your own house and if you want the guests to be comfortable and if you want the drinks to be generous........
then I'd absolutely ban a tip jar, let the bartenders know that ahead of time, and tell them you'll pay a very generous gratuity beyond their standard rate......
