  1. Yup. There were some really hot and popular escorts I filtered out this way. Outward beauty can hide internal ugliness.
  2. Yes. I know at least one provider with like 100+ 5-star reviews who only keeps that record because they preemptively block negative reviews. There's no point giving out names since they pretty much all do. That, or they'll find a way to get the review removed. You can always report them to RM. However, the only time I've seen a report lead to RM suspending an escort was when he catfished people, which was easily verified by a photo check.
  3. Don't forget we're dealing with "gay age.'" Which is why I've seen 25-year-old escorts claim to be 22.
  4. Hey, don't discount what providers can do if they're really high or really angry. I once tried to hire a provider I'd spent time with before, and he must have been on drugs or something, because he started texting all these angry things at me. Apparently, he had trouble with another potential client, and decided to take it out on me. I immediately crossed him off my list and now refuse to even talk to him, even though his boyfriend tried to get me to. If he had a brain and had apologized, I'd gladly accept it.
  5. Ignoring is the best, like others said. This guy has no power over you. I would have trouble keeping myself from replying with this: "I lost contact and was going to send you a hundred, but if that's how you feel, never mind."
  6. There's a new Serbian guy in Chicago. I'll ask him about the cabbage rolls....
  7. One thing - you're more likely to find Venezuelan providers on social media other than RentMen. There's quite a few on Grindr. If you're in the country with little or no money, that RM fee can be high.
  8. You don't have to be a provider to get a Mr. Number subscription. Once you do, there's no way anyone will be able to leave crap on your number....at least not very long. Nor is it accurate. I've been called a "fake" for declining to hire someone, and a "liar" by a Mexican who didn't know how to locate an Uber.
  9. All I'm going to say here is, if you take time to have a conversation with your provider, do it. You'll learn alot, and everyone wants to be listened to. I almost always book 2-hour sessions, so after I come the first time, I can relax and have a decent conversation. Then, after my refractory period is over, we go at it again.
  10. Unfortunately, it's usually not as subtle a difference like that. Usually it goes like this: CLIENT: The provider rudely left early because he had another appointment bookended onto mine. PROVIDER: I've had clients who are high or on drugs and some leave bad messages. That must be one.
  11. I'm no doctor, so I'll just post this, which has a link to the official studies: Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) | HIV Risk and Prevention | HIV/AIDS | CDC WWW.CDC.GOV PrEP is a way for people who do not have HIV but who are at substantial risk of getting it to prevent HIV infection by taking a pill every day. My understanding was that under controlled studies (not field-based research where doctors couldn't accurately monitor the patients), PrEP worked unless someone forgot their pills. However, the same research shows that while PrEP supposedly protects against HIV in 99% of sexual cases, it only protects in 74% of cases involving infected needles. This tells me that PrEP doesn't work as well if the virus is spread directly into the bloodstream.
  12. I only met one provider who didn't shower, and he did stink. He wasn't a drug addict. He was just poor and crude. I found a way to get him to clean up right away.
  13. Jarrod comes from Harry Truman's hometown. Why am I not surprised?
  14. I had a young provider insist on ordering his Uber while the session was going on, so that he could walk out the moment the session ended. I'm not hiring him again...
  15. The best way to get a "last minute" escort is to find a local regular. Once you've established trust and familiarity, it's a lot easy for the provider to come.
  16. Ditto - text only. I've had providers call me, which I found annoying and never ended up well. Also, I can use my translator when I text.
  17. There's nothing dehumanizing about seeking out deals. It's called a capitalist economy. Is someone a monster for waiting for a store owner to overstock, then buy things on sale? Is it inhuman to buy a stock when it's low in price? Are companies evil for lowering their wage offers during times of high unemployment? As long as there's real cash (and not basic necessities) being exchanged, it's a fair deal, and both parties are adults who can walk away from it.
  18. Question for providers, though: Is it sometimes advantageous to change your rates depending on what the client wants? I've know providers who offer low rates if all the client wants to do is a foot rub, or some other minor fetish. They claim they're their favorite clients since they barely have to do anything.
  19. Not all of them - I've met my share of young, undocumented Latino guys who think they're God's gift to gay men. Of course, they're not working a second job; they're touring in expensive hotels. They need to be reminded they're only here on our sufferance. That being said, there are people taking advantage of undocumented migrants. I've met enough gay men here who keep talking about how they want to "sponsor" some hot young Venezuelan guy....and then put them to work as their houseboy. When you only offer housing and food, that's not escorting - that's survival sex. And I already read a profile from a Venezuelan guy who wants a "roommate" in exchange for walking around the place naked all the time.
  20. @keroscenefire and @FrankR, how did you make initial contact with these immigrants? In Chicago, there's quite a few pockets of Venezuelans scattered around the area (I'm not saying which one I'm closest to). On Grindr, I did see two non-English speakers who specifically said they were "buscando trabajo," but when I asked (in English) what kind of work, there was no response. I've been meaning to try again in Spanish. I've also seen a lot looking to "rent a room." They even have a FB group in Chicago. It would be too risky to contact them via this app, but they're all desperate for any work whatsoever, and men have already started making "offers" to Venezuelan women to move in. I'd imagine you could make a good deal, once you establish what you except (if they kiss, I'm happy). Moreover it's happening all over the place: https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/illegal-sex-work-southwest-side-chicago/). The sex work market works like any other market, and in Columbia, local sex workers already complained that Venezuelan refugees were pushing rates down in that area. This influx should be interesting from an economic perspective. Just make sure they're independent and not under anyone's control (https://cwbchicago.com/2024/01/sex-trafficking-ring-forced-migrant-women-chicago-suburbs.html). Since they're men, you should be safe.
  21. I think he can rule out getting a rich, sophisticated sugar daddy.
  22. Apparently Sleepyboy went down for an hour or so. Now I can see it. I wouldn't mind this....if the escort was in his early twenties and muscular. I'll bring my (from college) copy of the Key of Solomon and try to summon some fun. EDIT: No, he says in the profile he's a Satanist. Much different religion.
  23. I can't reach the page. Something tells me it wasn't attracting any clients.
  24. I especially thank providers who act like gentlemen. That's how I try to act, and to see it returned means a good session is coming.
