Ditto, was going to meet with a visitor to Chicago, but his dates on the ad and what he claimed made no sense, and he seemed to be acting weird. Cancel.
-
He appears to be a "shaver". It may be desperation, but based on my reading of his texts and his post here, it appears to be narcissistic entitlement based on his inflated perception of himself as an elite bodybuilder. That is, he considers himself high class and sees nothing wrong between stealing a deposit here, some time there, as most people think he's honest. It's just money, and he's grabbing as much as possible while doing as little as possible. And only keeping the richest clients happy. He miscalculated, and his ad is down now. I guess he'll need to get another job to pay for those protein supplements.

All I wanted to add is, even with gay men, the older they get, the more likely they are to value true connection and soften their standards. That part is universal to all humans. When I was in my 20s, my gay friends were easily the most dysfunctional and troubled group I ever knew, and understood only physical attraction. I don't recall lots of guys in their 20s settling down.

Yeah exaggeration. It only happened to me once. I read someone mention a guy making a scene earlier.

Chicago is getting higher - the past few months I've seen a lot of new ads on RM. And saw the first ad offering discounts. And rates aren't at LA/ NYC levels. This market is the canary in the coal mine, as I think Simon here once said.

Mr Number - App With Reviews/Info on Clients
+ DrownedBoy replied to MCR's topic in Questions About Hiring
I'm a premium subscriber and always got negative comments removed - it's a private number (meaning anything is possible slander), and I tell them it's random insults from the gay community. Once I emailed them directly. It kept my entry clean. A lot of famed escorts have both good and bad reviews on Mr. Number. Some praise; others say he cut their time. YMMV. -
I used ChatGPT as well, since I was playing with SA. Since I wasn't looking for actual sexual intercourse, I got estimates on what amateurs would accept. Surprisingly, it was correct - half of what escorts on RM make, roughly. SA guys gobbled that up, although they still require good screening. The price goes up with sex. Didn't need a computer analysis to tell me that.

Improved Performance over time

Older millennial, but yeah, that's been my experience too. I also prefer the cuddling and conversation during hookups and sessions. And it's common to end up FaceBook friends even if you don't become FWB. The key word here is "listen". Anyone who doesn't let their partner talk, and at least get to know them, is not going to have good experiences. It works both ways, and if you just kick the guy out of the bed after sex, you're not going to make any friends. This applies to Grindr as well as providers, although there are always people you're not going to click with no matter what. -
I'm sorry...I'll close this thread.

AI it. Courtesy of ChatGPT. ""Serving cake" in gay slang typically refers to showing off one's butt, often in a confident, playful, or flirtatious manner. It can describe someone wearing tight or revealing clothing that highlights their rear, or posing in a way that emphasizes it. In ballroom or drag culture, it may also imply confidently presenting one's body or look, especially from behind, as part of a performance or persona. Context matters—used humorously among friends, it signals body positivity or sex appeal; in a more serious tone, it can affirm someone's swagger or dominance in style and presence. It’s visual and performative, not sexual in action. However, in very specific sexual banter, someone might jokingly stretch the phrase to imply rimming or being rimmed—especially if layered with innuendo—but that would be nonstandard usage and highly dependent on tone and context. In general gay slang, the phrase doesn’t include rimming.

Totally agree. I've seen this as a common problem with younger escorts. My past reasons for "firing" a regular include increasingly disrespectful behavior, chronic tardiness, a refusal to perform services they did in the past, and outright personality disorders they could no longer control (brought on by drug use). There's only one regular I've kept almost a decade. He locked in his rate then (although I tip), and actually refined his technique, developing (ahem BDSM) skills beyond others I met, hired or otherwise. And he brings younger amateur guys with him if asked, at wholesale. He gets extremely regular business with me and a Christmas bonus 😄 It's a rarity to find honest, mature professionals who are intelligent enough to see the long term advantages of playing nice. Every other regular I had followed the negative pattern I described. -
I have a long-time regular who brings non-escort types as extras (college students, exotic dancers who aren't fully into escorting, etc.) for edit threesomes. He does make clear I have to go through him to see them, and I haven't seen them online or anything separately. And he handles the money. However, it's just great - he basically teaches them what I like during the sessions. And the price for amateurs is right.

Ugh. If I had that kind of money, I'd just go the houseboy route. Full salary and health insurance during employment. And like every other job in America, employment at will. Incentive enough to act affectionate. Getting legally married absolutely doesn't guarantee an "emotional connection", nor does it enhance the illusion of one. Re: Anna Nicole Smith. -
Not dramatic enough. In LA, the cops know the spiel. Old gay guy calls cops because this young drug addicted homeless guy refuses to leave his house. He tells the cops that he was "only trying to help the kid out." The cops roll their eyes, mark it as a "domestic", and remove the homeless guy

They do that a lot. They think they're going to embarrass you, but instead, all they get is people who ignore their babbling, and security leading them out of the building.

Rentmen "likes" - From who(m) to who(m)?
+ DrownedBoy replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
Always ask first. The "you can suck me but I don't suck you" is a common oral statement. So is, "I'll kiss but no tongue." Make it clear beforehand, even if it is an "into". -
Only time I tried contacting a guy like that on RentMen, he cancelled last minute. On this forum, I heard he did the same to another. Was just playing around.

I'd really like to take a sexcation to Africa, if possible, but looking through the advisories, there are a looooot of countries I can't even try to visit (staying away from Uganda...). I'm looking somewhere where men are available for hire, at South American-level prices. Not doing any anal sex in Africa. But the usual "safe" places like South Africa aren't that friendly to America right now. Anyone know safe places?

Outrageous donations for the company of providers
+ DrownedBoy replied to MCR's topic in Questions About Hiring
1. Inflation does not equal extra wages. Ask any working person. Supply and demand is the only measure, and if clients won't pay more than 300, that's what the provider gets. 2. OnlyFans income is overrated except for the most popular guys. -
The proper answer to this is: "If you're not here in exactly 5 minutes, the session is cancelled. I won't buzz you in if you come even a minute later." They usually get angry and give up the act then, which lets me move on and hire someone else.

Been out since I was 19, the moment I moved out from my parents to stay at college. I grew up in a working-class neighborhood (and hs) that had a disturbing amount of toxic masculinity. Everyone was pretty certain, but I was ok if I didn't say it aloud. Kids didn't come out in h.s. back then.

I found (ahem) that even with enemas, you don't want to wait too long for an urge. Just time yourself. Otherwise it does too much work. I left an enema in too long once waiting for an "urge", and the next day I....was in the bathroom a lot in a messy way.

vast discrepancy between available tops & bottoms
+ DrownedBoy replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
From what I can tell, deep down, most men are bottoms; they just learn to adapt due to the roughly 11:1 bottom:top ratio. As far as on RentMen, I know providers who don't bottom as much (or )charge more to bottom since they need to prep beforehand. -
When providers not truthful about size
+ DrownedBoy replied to starman05's topic in Questions About Hiring
Ditto. An advantage of being short is that I never hired a guy who was taller than me, even if they exaggerated their height. Another advantage is that anyone I ever dated was also taller than me. I always wondered if that was the reason my boyfriend(s) tend to be short, but not shorter than me.
