I think that's where the nastiness starts in bars. When I was a young "twink," I also acted nice at first, but found that attracted the wrong people. It's hard to claim "moral outrage" when Mangione didn't have any known connection to UHC (if he or a loved one had been a UHC denial victim, that would be different). The only tactic I can see is a combination of diminished capacity (caused by his back injury, isolation, etc.) and a rigorous questioning of the evidence (namely the chain of custody), while also somehow getting UHC and Thompson's wrongdoings in front of the jury. That way, the jury has a legitimate excuse to have a "reasonable doubt," as they did when they nullified in the O.J. SImpson case. The only problem is that this time, the defendant has a written manifesto/confession. Unless that's suppressed as evidence, any defense will be extremely difficult.

There are providers who advertise on Grindr, but I never mentioned RM to them in chats. I have reached out just to see if they react. I don't believe anyone is required to respond to a Grindr text, nor do I answer every text I get. One of them, when I said hi on Grindr, said he was having trouble paying his electric bill, and sent me a shot of a bill saying $350. I sadly told him I never let my bill get that high. 😄 I wouldn't reach out to a provider on Grindr looking for freebies, but if enough other guys do, I can see why they wouldn't want to engage with clients there.
