Ditto. I try to point them towards this site too, which is a pain since RM Messenger censors websites.

I don't tip, but I send my regulars Christmas gifts via Zelle or CashApp.

I only did it once, and I did buy the tickets myself. The problem - he insisted on getting more expensive tickets on a more expensive plane when he could have come cheaper. That's why I won't do it anymore.

I love this. The consensus on those threads were: - It's ok to hire homeless guys, BUT - Don't give them extra money The consensus on this thread is: - It's despicable to offer money to a day laborer Morally, there is a lot of hypocrisy here, as someone mentioned earlier. As I concluded earlier - soliciting day laborers directly isn't smart or safe, but if they want to advertise on Grindr as well and are willing to accept offers through that, fine. Day laborers in landscaping don't just "garden" - they spend those 10 hours digging holes and carrying heavy rolls of sod or bags of topsoil. If one of them wants to get their pay easier, good for them.

Smart. Legally, at least in my state, having sex with a drunk person can be considered sexual assault, since technically they can't give reasoned consent .

Do I need to worry that cash is on it's way out?

Ditto. More and more stores charge CC fees or require a minimum for CCs. And even shops in downtown Chicago give cash discounts. Last Friday, the clerk was like, "Cash? Forget the tax." -
The only providers who I've met, and willing to meet early, are those with side gigs, as mentioned. I learned never to book anyone under the age of 30 before nightfall. Lucky if they're up by noon.

I've heard similar complaints....from established escorts complaining about Venezuelan sex workers undercutting them and taking their business.

Uh....have you ever tried to access RentMen on a Tor browser? That gets blocked well enough.

Why are some clients saying “I only pay in cash”, when…
+ DrownedBoy replied to JB_Studio38's topic in The Lounge
That should be against the law, and in some places it might be. Saying "no cash" in America these days means the same as "no poor people." -
When does he get his MD? I'm feeling ill and need a thorough checkup.

I find a lot of good reviews to be an indicator of trustworthiness. They also tend to be more expensive, but that goes with the game. And yes, I've had guys with 100+ 5-star reviews who were bad hires (drugs and/or personality disorder, no doubt triggered by a bad day). Some of them preemptively block you so they can retain their "record.' So it's not a perfect measure, but 2 problems over a decade of hiring can be tolerated.

The vast majority, if not all, of the providers I hired preferred cash. Asking for CashApp prior to coming = a scam so obvious that even Grindr users learn about it after a week. -
That's part of the cause of the economic crash of 2008. Immigrants technically have new high credit scores, but once they borrow...

Yup, we have to mention the wife and family as if the closet makes you superior 🙄

I'm sure he's good, but I don't do 350 an hour.

I understand that the client has no obligation to get a paid provider off, but if you make the decision to get him off, that's your choice. If he liked it that much, it's his choice on what to say or do.

Tell me about it. Some people on this forum act like everyone with money is some spoiled rich guy with a trust fund. I come from a working class family and neighborhood. I won a great scholarship. Now I make good money. I worked very hard to get this far in life, and I'll be d@mned if I'll allow someone to shame me for how I use my hard earned income.

So it turned out! I Googled the word "bracero" and ended up with links to a lot of porn involving said workers. I should have guessed. Either way, based on that study, it is a fantasy.

I think that's a little unfair. It's also wrong - I've seen with my own eyes that day laborers have absolutely no problem sleeping with older white women for little to no money. I understand the whole machismo culture thing, but I don't think there's any place for it here. All providers need the money. Let's not get into exploitation. Everyone who hires a day laborer, even to mow their lawn, is exploiting them according to that logic. So is anyone who hires a provider for sex. This whole idea that somehow "sex work" is more exploitive stems from sexual attitudes that belong to the Victorian Era. Unfortunately, with Hispanic lay laborers, as that study indicated, gay sex work is still taboo (not that I'd pay them for anal sex; I'd pay them to beat the crap out of me; try calling that exploitation). But because of that machismo attitude, it's probably best to first see if any of them are on Grindr. That's a free way for them to "put themselves on the market," and allows a quick way to verify which workers are willing.

That study isn't good. According to this, there's only a 9.4% chance that a propositioned day laborer is going to put out. Not good odds. As for everyone who used the word "exploitation"....😂 Do you have any idea of the backgrounds of the Latino escorts you hire? Do you have any experience in the landscaping industry? You guys have no idea...

Do you recall his rates?

I couldn't find anything during the search on CoM but I recall reading a research study. However, the study was only based on interviews

Anyone here who lives in a larger city, especially in California, is familiar with how immigrants often congregate at Home Depot, etc., to get paid day labor. I've read (and assumed) that they are sometimes solicitated by gay men. Has anyone ever done this? I understand both men and women have done this, although women are sometimes hit on by the laborers.
