  1. He's correct - time is money, looks are money, sex is money, and money is money. It's nothing but economics, no matter how you want to paint it. And it makes economic sense for men in that situation to simply pay for it. I don't fully buy it though - there's enough men/women who are willing to be a trophy wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend without that much convincing or charm. And you don't have to be rich rich - a lot of doctors in my area have live-in, hot girlfriends. And I laughed when one went and married her when she got pregnant.
  2. Yes, he's definitely a narcissist if he thinks he should be "acknowledged" for contributing to another man's success. He was probably just the man's boytoy, and his only "contribution" was to get the man off so he could concentrate on his work. If the guy is really well known, I'd say write a tell-all book (I'm thinking like Liberace). The successful man will probably sic his lawyers on him, but he might get bought out. So he'll have to settle for the money. From what it sounds like, he should consider himself lucky to get that.
  3. When I was calling numbers to find a cleaner for my parents' house, I accidentally ran across a couple who did nude cleaning. They thought it was funny when I explained I was looking for a normal cleaner. They claimed they were experts at that too, but I don't think so...
  4. There's too many reasons to name, most of them completely normal. This happened to me when a provider kept saying he wasn't available. I asked him directly if he was giving up escorting, and that was it; he just didn't volunteer the information until I asked.
  5. I have rarely found new 23 year old providers who could measure up to the pros. Not in technique, and certainly not in intelligence and maturity.
  6. Ubers usually cost a lot more than that in a big city with traffic conditions.
  7. In Illinois at least, legal marijuana dispensaries require cash for all EDIT purchases. They have ATMs but they charge everyone a fee. Yes, some Chicago dispensaries were hit since they have all that cash.
  8. Are providers asking for an Uber more often? Yes. Do travelling providers ask for an Uber? Almost always. I see it as increased laziness, entitlement, and greed. I have regulars who pay their own Uber since they more than get it back from their fee. Chicago has the 2nd best transit system in the country, but younger providers expect a d@mned limo. I've only paid for Ubers if the provider is both exceptional and reflects it in his fees. I've been offered incall rates for sending an Uber; since they just sit there, I don't otherwise.
  9. You know, if you actually use an ATM for a bank branch you have an account with, they usually waive the fee. At least at my bank. Or just cash a check with a teller at one of your branches. I always try to leave the impression that the money is for gambling. You do have to plan ahead, but as several said in other threads, using cash is a good way to watch your spending.
  10. Have you compared the RM listings from NYC to other cities? 😉
  11. Some clinics follow false medical theories when promoting colon cleansing, like claiming it removes "toxins" and "morbid matter" from the body. The body removes those by itself.
  12. Yeah, that happened to me. Apparently he was self conscious about his body. Too bad - I was going to give him 5 stars and book him again.
  13. Colon cleansing is quackery. An enema would accomplish the same thing.
  14. Ideal vacation for me. That's why people go to Columbia or Bangkok. Sex tourism is a thing.
  15. Grindr is more disappointing than depressing. Unless you go to a rural area full of closet cases who refuse to even sent a photo.
  16. Yup. Every young provider I meet nowadays is an "influencer."
  17. The only providers who blocked me were little girls who freaked out when I described what I wanted them to do. Which has only happened 5 times over a decade of hiring.
  18. Yeah...I had some fun arguments with a Roman Catholic provider (I'm a Lutheran). He read Aquinas, I read Bonhoeffer.
  19. There's a place in Lincoln Park that turned itself into a 90s bar. They have all the arcade games that were popular around 1990 (Ninja Turtles, etc.), don't require quarters, and play 90s TV shows like American Gladiator. I'd love to get a guy to dress up like Mark Wahlberg and pick me up there. It would be like a childhood fantasy come true. I always loved that moment when he went shirtless Good Vibrations
  20. I have carolus ignored, but I see enough in the replies to be amused. * pulls out popcorn as well *
  21. Back in college, our gay group went to some conference, and stayed at a hotel in a rural area. Several of my roommates invited several other people over. I believe there were 5 people in the bedroom (1 of them was a bi woman), while 2 other gay guys locked themselves in the bathroom for ws. I received the best bj of my life. The next day, I laughed when one of the visitors turned up in a suit ready to talk at the conference.
  22. Twinks evolve into twunks. That's what you call a "twink as a guy with a six-pack, hulking chest, and sizable arms." Where are you located (Chicago here)? I have no problem finding "skinny non-muscular twinks" online.
  23. Yes. The hottest and most desirable escorts visit the UAE. Obviously they're not too scared. It's a business hub in a Muslim area, and to gay Muslims with money, it's literally a Mecca.
  24. Yes. Just wait as long as you're willing, then contact someone else. If the person you initially texted gets back to you, and you have someone else, just tell them. It's just business. I know some clients text multiple providers at once, but I personally don't think that's a good business practice.
  25. Just don't ask an escort to take an on-the-spot STD test. I think most would find that insulting, or at least consider you neurotic. Assume he has everything. You made the right move packing condoms, etc.
