    Great marketing strategy
”I’m available (sort of)                  to spend time (all that’s guaranteed) with men (a few of you) Contact me (if you dare) and I’ll get back to you (?) soon (if your CV, resume, full nude photos and 3 current credit references all pass inspection)”

This is my suspicion as well. I have never subscribed to an OF for more than a month.
We see a guy pretty regularly who does porn as well. It doesn't seem to impact his desire to still escort and he hasn't blown up his rates.

This.  I know more than a few OF guys who struggle to make it worth the legwork involved (finding models, releases, editing time, marketing, etc).
It was once huge money for many creators, but the market is saturated and members fickle.

This is apparently only true for a small group of creators. Most creators earn anywhere between a couple of dozen dollars to a few hundred dollars a month from their Onlyfans. Not enough to forego other income streams. Though they are getting creative.
I saw another profile of an escort who has an Onlyfans who explicitly states on his escort profile that when you "hire" him, you cannot touch him and you (the client!) will film him having sex with someone else. And the client pays the escort for this. He has many positive reviews, go figure.
On the flip side, there seem to be guys who have Onlyfans but also genuinely enjoy escorting and still offer great service.
But especially during ans right after the pandemic, Hunqz was flooded with young guys who all had demands on their profiles, as if it were Grindr.

A new generation of 'escorts' (and I use the term loosely) think this is Grindr while getting paid.
For some, it might work for a short time, but I can't see this as the norm.
It feels like this guy is looking to film content.  He's not really an escort.  He's looking for same/like.

This is Edras, my favorite massage therapist, hands down, of anyone I’ve ever seen in my life to date. He does excellent therapeutic work. He used to be in San Diego and was my regular. He’s in La Habra (LA metro) now.
He’s one of the nicest, sweetest, kindest, most dedicated, attentive, hard working, and reasonably priced therapists. I miss seeing him in San Diego. La Habra is kind of out of the way, even for LA folks, but I want to give an unsolicited shout out to him. He’s definitely worth a long drive from another area of LA or from other cities in CA just to see him.
This shouldn’t matter, and it doesn’t, but for most of you I know it does. He used to be heavier. Always thought he was damn sexy, with a bearish build, hairy, and naturally very masculine. Looking at his updated profile pics, he’s built up quite a fit body. Even sexier now in all the superficial ways even though his real sex appeal is his good nature and generous spirit. Highly recommend!
Note, he’s therapeutic only. Do please respect his boundaries. These are not erotic massage or sex work rates he’s charging. Seriously though, one of the best massages ever!
Also he’s mentioned on this older thread:

As always, different people have different preferences, but my experience has led me to strongly agree with @NateSF and @IronMaus about the importance of what I include in my RM client profile. I often lean toward the kinkier side of the spectrum when I hire and I've found that trying to include both the specifics of my interests and some sense of my personality has led to my most satisfying encounters. Of course I don't mind being the person to initiate contact, but I do appreciate when a provider reaches out to me (there or here) because they read what I wrote and think we might be a good match. Those folks almost always turn out to be my most enjoyable encounters (including Maus 😄). I've had more than a few providers tell me that for one reason or another, they don't always list everything they're "into" in their listing, but were happy to talk with me about it after they read my profile.

There is no telling if this guy is who he shows himself to be, if he lives wherever he was when he found you, and if he is willing to follow through on his threats. It's not necessarily a safe assumption, but this person it probably not "psychotic".
He is either working for a larger operation that scams people or is working independently. Chances are he is doing this to more than one person at a time. Larger operations like this don't follow through on their threats - they will disappear and move on. Independent criminals on this level are also not likely to follow through because they are creating their own paper trail for their activities.

The police are an option, but if he is using a burner number and fake photos there isn't anything they can do.

Find out what you can first...

    1. Determine his location. If you don't still see him on Sniffies, start a new Sniffies - use different (or less) stats and photos you haven't used/he won't recognize you in - and see if he is still around that area. If so, there is a great chance he lives near there and is working independently. On Sniffies you can modify the accuracy of your location to a large extent, so take note of the street names and zip codes in that area.

    2. Save all your conversations and the photos he has sent you for reference. See if the same person is in each photo. Hopefully he gave you a face pic. Reverse image search his photos to see what comes up.

    3. Use his phone number to find him (facebook, linkedin, etc. and paid services).

If more than two of these produce results, cross reference this information to see what you can come up with.

The more you know about him, the more leverage you have. What you do with that leverage is up to you. With enough info you can threaten the police on them, actually send the police after them, or catfish the shit out of him to make him feel the way he's made you feel.

Clients, I very much appreciate when your RM profile tells me exactly what you are looking for. Stats are not necessary but they help. You can change your text anytime and be specific about when/where you are looking for something.

So many of my clients and regulars began with me sending them a message first.

When I heard about Doublelist I was hoping the same thing could happen there, but apparently the police heavily for services or donations offered. Can't use words like "generous" but gentleman isn't flagged. Doesn't leave much room for us. Does anyone have experience with this on Doublelist?

I enjoy having sex with bottoms, obese people, and people in their 70s 80s 90s.
But when people of these variety approach me on hookup apps, I'm less inclined to accept their advances.
It's not because I would only do it for work - it's because I do it for work so often.
I look for younger tops in my personal life because I sleep with mostly older bottoms in my professional life.
If it were the opposite on one side, it would be the opposite on the other.

Unfortunately, in some cities this can work against me. When I (politely) reject people in the personal (hookup app) realm, it can deter them from hiring me in the professional realm.

I'm the type of guy who says "thank you" when someone woofs at me and "no thank you" when they hit me up. I understand where this could lead them to thinking I'm just feigning interest as a provider just for money, but there isn't much I can do about it. I could simply ignore their messages and advances but I find that difficult.

It was indeed a feature on men4rentnow.com. I would respond to many of those client posts, but I don't think I ever once got hired from one. I'd get appointments from the regular channels where the client would contact me, but not when it was a client posting looking for a provider.
Men4rentnow had a long, miserable decline. Terrible, dated user interface. Terrible customer service. I think it also became quite expensive at the end, which was counter to its awful UI. It pretty much put itself out of business.
On rentmen it is really useful when clients include in their profile what they are looking for. I'm not sure if that's what @DrownedBoy is referring to, but it helps to get a sense of what they want. I check the client profiles of who contacts me, or asks to see my private pics, but very few have much on their profiles. I wish more guys would use that feature!

Both my understanding and experience with Doublelist is that what is allowable/flagged is very regionally dependent  I can definitely say that I have reconnected with providers on DL that I found on CL. Prior knowledge, and identifying a provider with a pic I recognized, made it virtually seamless!
For "new" providers, word searches for "gen," "rub," "relax," and "oil" have proved fruitful for me. I can say, for the most part, I bring up the topic of cost first in an email exchange, but not always. If it wasn't evident, along with the above search terms, I assume providers ads will also have a pic/stats posted.
Thank you and  @nate_sf for talking about clients listing what they are looking for on RM. It seems really obvious now that you have both said it, but until now I really only viewed it as a forum for providers to tell about themselves.

I answered a craiglist ad I think either in gigs or adult gigs back in the day looking for an office assistant and when I went to the interview site at some house in the valley, it was basically a brothel and the job was to massage men with extras. It had co-ed providers with girls and guys.
I stayed for 2 weeks and then left when someone offered to let me massage at his place to keep more money for myself.
Then a few years later I ended up going to massage school and never actually thought if I wanted to massage all day for a while, so when I graduated I just worked for myself because I didn't want to work a "real 9 to 5" job, and I still don't.

I briefly worked at a spa ran by graduates of my massage school and it was a disaster. Everyone I knew went back to school a year later for something different, because massaging +6 people a day is exhausting no matter what the pay is.

Some RentMen clients (such as myself) explain exactly what they're looking for. It saves time to just text someone a link.
Most do not, though. And I (like most clients, I'm guessing) only hire when I want to.
Personally, I'd like to hold online auctions. I post my general address and what I'm looking for, and send it out for bids. Lowest bid that I find attractive wins RFP!.

While a few clients on here have had some negative experiences, providers are taking on far more risk than we are. They risk violence, legal action, etc. We risk being out $50 if it falls through.
Also, we all make deposits on services and even sign agreements with other services providers that allow them to charge us if we don't show up for an appointment. And if you're going to claim you've "never done that", you're full of shit.
Lastly, given how much clients talk shit about providers on here, you really don't need to jump on every thread when a provider complains about us.
