Cost of Rentmen Ads for Providers?

Axiom2001

Recommended Posts

I am more than curious now as to the amount of money Rentmen charges its advertisers.  I ask this because clients are now being required to pay $20 per month for membership.

Also, I ask because some providers have too few words and photos in their ads in order to encourage me.  Occasionally, I've written (chats) for certain providers encouraging them to change their ads in order to advance their services.  I've done this quite tastefully; no one has cursed me out; a few have thanked me and accepted my unsolicited advice.

Here’s what I pay:

RentMen: $30/mo

RentMasseur: $40/mo

MasseurFinder: $105/mo

Booksy (my own site): $33/mo

I tap out at ~$200/mo.

MintBoys: free, no upgrade. They accept bitcoin payments exclusively, which I don’t have and am not willing to use. If they accepted credit cards I would try it out.

Others I might try a month trial to see if it’s worth it.

Any suggestions or preferences for what clients like to use more?

I'm surprised by these figures - I would have expected it to be significantly more for some and much less for MasseurFinder.

It's interesting what providers pay for the various options on RM. I didn't know the exact figures but now I do thanks to Nate_sf.

I've been with a provider recently who is fairly new and I've noticed that after each time he sees me he uses one of the upgrades on RM to promote his services. When we did an overnight, he went all out.

Thanks for the info Nate. I didn't know that Rentmen of the Day was a paid thing. I thought they just picked someone randomly who was a sponsor or something. Dang, the really try to monetize everything.

I agree. MasseurFinder is waaay overpriced, and RentMasseur basic without the upgraded services is quite affordable.

Some of my best clients find me through MasseurFinder, but they are relatively few. I keep it for the quality over quantity consideration.

I get a lot more traffic on RentMasseur, and more total clients that way, but it’s a mixed bag. Some good, some excellent, and some of them are not the greatest types of clients. And by that I mean flaky, disrespectful, rude, pushy, don’t read the ad, don’t tip, try to “bargain” for a low rate, arrive unclean, etc.

Rent Men is a little different for me. Since I offer massage and spa services instead of traditional escort services like overnights and whatnot, I’m pretty sure I get a lot less traffic and bookings than I otherwise would. However, Rent Men is set up to advertise masseurs too, and I do get clients interested in my services, enough to justify an additional relatively low monthly platform cost.

So if Platinum boost is $24 is it safe to say the "slow" days for providers have more boosted men? There have been times that I've logged in and the Platinums were almost annoying not knowing how they were selected...other times only a couple Platinums up...just curious

$105/month for freakin' MasseurFinder? They certainly aren't investing any of that money in the site.

Given the number of expired and sketchy ads on MintBoys, you are wise for not paying.

I rarely check out MasseurFinder anymore. They had a period where the site was so wonky it became more frustrating than it was worth. I stopped using it and never looked back.

I’m surprised to hear RM is only $30/month. The way some providers on here have talked about the cost of having a profile on there I would have thought it was a lot more. It seems to me some time back when I sponsored a guy on RM I paid more than $30 to do it. But that was so long ago I honestly forget.

You can sign up to check the price of RM without having to be an escort. I think the $30/month is just for their basic plan. I think for their "Gold" membership, you pay $100/month, and that gives you some additional benefits over their basic plan.

Correct. I get the basic plan since I advertise massage and only get a few clients here and there from it. RentMen is typically for escort services, so fewer clients seek me out on that platform but they do. If my primary service was escorting, the revenue would justify me investing in an upgraded plan and I would do it.

Still hard to justify the price of MF especially it seems more people use RF

The same guy is up there every 5 days basically. And the schedule to attempt to purchase a day is crazy to figure out. And your ad has to be current to the date that you purchase your rent men of the day ad. To you may have to purchase up to 3 months in advance to buy they day available. Of course support is hardly that.

I struggle justifying the cost. You’re right, more clients use RentMasseur. I would be willing to pay more for RentMasseur and less for MasseurFinder but I value both, so they cancel one another out.

Every time I seriously consider dropping MF, I gain a good new client from it. Also, MF keeps increasing prices, so if you cancel the service and re-join later, they charge you even more than they did before. Yikes.

The weekly specials feature on MasseurFinder regularly brings in new business. I’d use a specials feature on RentMasseur if they had one. MF clients are better, on average, than RM clients.

Have you tried Personal Touch or GayWellness?  I like the "environment" of GayWellness and it lists providers in other wellness categories like yoga, coaching and even skin care (or at least it is the avenue the site is trying to pursue.. it doesn't have a lot of listings).
