Have experienced the massage with one hand and checking the phone with the other but not recently.
Actually taking a call during a session was the one that was the worst.  A guy who I had several sessions with before (Battery Park City NYC) back in the mid 2000's.  He was talented and was trained gave a good massage and stretching session and typically provided a nice ending.  On the last visit - the session started as normal, about 10 to 15 minutes into the session his phone started ringing he ignored it and it would ring again (repeat), he apologized and took the call.  Conversation ensued and then some strong language back and forth on the phone and said he had to go give something to a friend in the lobby (from what I overhead sounded sketchy) about 10 minutes wasted here taking the call and his redressing.  He left and about what seemed 20 minutes or so he returns.  During the interim I was ready to just get dressed and leave.  He came back and then continued with the session.  Session finished and paid, even left a tip (albeit half of what I'd normally leave).  Departed and in the cab ride back to my apt my phone starts ringing and he's calling me to say I didn't tip him enough, and that I need to come back and give him more money. Things went back and forth about the payment and I told him he wasn't going to get any more money and I just ended the call.  He started calling again, went to voice mail etc, then the text messages continued his tirade, so to end this circus I just blocked him.   I think he left the massage business not too long thereafter.

I'd question the guy's training if a masseur started off by pummeling my bum, unless I had specifically requested they focus on it.  Most times they start with my shoulders and neck, or work along my extremities.
A sensual/erotic massage that begins with the scalp and light feather touches along the body before transitioning to deeper pressure work can be a fantastic experience.

@JeffsterLA   I see you joined the forum a week ago last Thursday......you'll find plenty to "trigger" you here in the forum if this guy's ad has already upset you.....though his preference is somewhat selfish, he's running a private operation and can run it the way he wants......he has politely stated his position and those upset by it can do the mature thing and just move on......

so... you would rather book with this guy?  He's being honest and upfront about what he prefers... I think it saves us all a lot of time.  Why spend time and energy on this guy... you think you're going to change his opinion?
And then you go and insult his physical attributes?  I have more an issue with what and how you have said things than this provider if I am being honest.
If you can't have a civil discussion about this topic maybe you should wait to post until you have had a massage.

@Jay_lucas  The business model that a practitioner utilizes doesn't have to be static approach of request deposit/don't request deposit, it can adapt to the market they use as a home base versus when traveling (this shouldn't be rocket science).  In looking at the two major platforms (RentMasseur and RentMen), and conducting a simple profile search of the word "Deposit" only 32 of 4,306 (0.74314909%) of Rentmasseur practitioners and 68 of 10,688 (0.636622%) of Rentmen practitioners outrightly state that a Deposit would be required at some stage of engagement.
Practitioners choose what business model works for them best.   Scanning only a couple of profiles on each, it was clear that for some of the practitioners it wasn't required in all instances and for others it was a hard and fast rule.   Note there maybe other practitioners that utilize phrasing in place of "Deposit" but I don't think that would move the numbers much.   Good luck with the search of practitioners that meet your needs.   As for myself, a practitioner who would require a deposit isn't the business model I prefer.

This is definitely a show you’ll want to sing along with and tap your feet. I thoroughly enjoying it.
The show begins with 2 actors sitting on stage. One is (old) Neil Diamond, played by Mark Jacoby,  and the other is his therapist. Here begins the story of Neil Diamond as he reflects on his career using the lyrics from a song book.
The role of young Neil is played by Nick Fradiani. He’s excellent. Voice and mannerisms are just like Neil’s.
There’s lots of singing, dancing, and storytelling. Orchestra will appear on stage during concert like numbers. And, yes, the audience is encouraged to sing along!
I attended a Wednesday matinee. Purchased my tickets at TKTS. Had 2nd row orchestra. Mostly an older audience.

Have been through Cambodia and some of Thailand.  Siem Riep - if you are into food - Cuisine Wat Damnak should be on your list.  https://www.cuisinewatdamnak.com  In Bangkok one of the fine dining options I did was Nahm https://www.comohotels.com/thailand/como-metropolitan-bangkok/dining/nahm   Plenty of options for more street food in both locations.   I would add in Laos to your potential countries to visit while in the region.   Specifically Luang Prabang https://www.travelandleisure.com/how-to-visit-luang-prabang-laos-7555706  a Unesco city, relaxed setting.  Great food and diversions close by.  I flew in from Bangkok, and then flew to Vientiane (capital) and onto Cambodia from there.  Seems there is a train between Luang Prabang and Vientiane; Vientiane was ok for transit, not as overwhelming as a capital city as Bangkok or Hanoi may be.   Have fun planning!

That might offer reassurance (someone with recent test results would appear to take their sexual health seriously) but of course even if the results are a week old they’re not any guarantee he’s free from any sexually transmitted disease. I think the best thing to do is protect yourself and not worry about what anyone else is doing or says they’re doing. Stay safe and rest regularly!

Welcome to the forum @jackdallas. In this little corner of cyberspace, the deposits topic is akin to religion and politics. We don’t talk about it unless you want an endless, divisive pointless argument. Each side will die on hill. Nobody is changing their mind from what they already think. At best, we agree to disagree and have pizza. At worst, personal attacks prompt moderators to close the topic.
Others have pointed you in the right direction. Look there. If @56harrisond had a nickel for every time he graciously took time to search for and post relevant links…he could hire to his heart’s content for decades. Thank you!
Start or participate in deposits debates (battles? martyr spectacles? shit shows?) at your own risk!

    @Casual
I know of many providers on the site. Only a small fraction post or participate with any regularity. Of those, some come and go, deciding to delete their account or just not log in for months. The majority of us are either unaware of the site (most) or choose not to engage with it. Their loss, but at the same time admittedly it takes a lot of time and energy to make our presence here worthwhile.
From time to time I alert providers I know of comments and they can choose to ignore or engage with the content. Some guys are hopeless when it comes to tact and understanding how to leverage the platform. Some of the long time active provider members here really get the value of investing our time in the platform and stick with an engagement strategy for the long haul.
I first discovered the forums when I was searching myself testing for other marketing purposes and came across some chatter about me when I was working in Dallas. Since then, I came to realize this is actually a really good business development tool. Many CoM clients have seen me in part due to my engagement here…and they love my work!
Several topics have come up in the forums re: sites to review clients. My short answer is no, it’s not a thing, at least not as extensive and widespread as it is for reviews of masseurs and providers. It would not behoove us providers to share about it if we did have such a thing.
For others who come across this blurb, I realize it may be kind of weird to post here when the provider can see it and even respond. Positive comments are welcome, but I invite even negative comments about me because it challenges me to improve my business and how I deliver service. It keeps me honest and to own my mistakes and apologize for them and make things right. It also gives me a chance to clarify anything stated that was factually incorrect.
Opinions are a different matter. When someone doesn’t like my style, my look, how I handled something, or have some other opinion, oh well. It’s not personal, and I can take that criticism with maturity and respect. I won’t try to get it taken down or anything like that. A good provider can stand on his overall reputation and take a few hits here and there without suffering very much loss. I can’t please everyone 100% of the time, and I have no illusions of doing so, but I know I do a great job and my clients are happy with me.
Some of my Texas clients still visit me in California, and many of the others text me asking when I will be coming back. I know I’m not perfect, but with signs of loyalty like this, I know I’m doing something right.
Cheers to finding me. May the best providers find their place here too and make the most of it.
