I have now just read this sad thread. Even though I know none of you personally, we all share a common bond here that now is broken. Like some of you have written, reading this forum was a regular feature of my morning coffee wake-up ritual. There was always the humor, the information, the humanity, the passionate arguments, and of course those amazing hot pictures over in the gallery. This forum really helped me navigate a part of my life when I first ventured into the pool that was the subject of so much of this board. Certainly, the reviews at Daddy's were a major help for me in that regard. And it was good to discover that so many issues that I struggled with were common to many of you here. To have fostered this incomparable community board was such a wonderful thing for Daddy to have done. I wish I could have shared cocktails with the man at least once. RIP, Bill/Daddy and heartfelt thanks to Cooper for all that he has done. Thanks to all of you who have shared your thoughts and remembrances of the man we have lost. Finally, I hope that somehow our community will survive.

I have just read the sad news. This is one of the most beautiful eulogies I have read. Thank you for pointing out not only what he did to help others but also how he did so with integrity; that is a rare trait today. Rare is the man who can not be “bought” or cut corners but as you remind us, Guy Fawkes was one such person.

Not much can be added to the many beautiful posts of remembrance. In these pandemic days, the words “essential worker” have been bandied about. That only partly describes Guy Fawkes. His work was not only essential to maintaining this site electronically but also in creating a community where people were able to connect and make friends. As many stated, his work helped many on their life’s journey.

While everyone has the chance to touch the lives of others, Guy Fawkes spent the extra energy to actually do that. What a wonderful man to leave such a beautiful legacy.

Thank you Guy Fawkes for a life well spent.?

Thank you Cooper for all you have done.

I took comfort each time I came here of late to not see a thread title beginning with RIP. That comfort is, and can be, no longer .

A man's life is like ripples in the water, expanding out ever more widely to touch all who can feel them. The measure of a man's life is how many lives his ripples touched and changed for the better, and his legacy is that last ripple which brings both the sadness of a loss and the smile of having been graced by his life.

Daddy's ripples are an enduring testament to the measure of the man and the entries here are proof of their effects. He will live on in the hearts and minds of those he served and who loved him. And that number will include me.

And I thank Cooper for all he has done to help Daddy, and to support, comfort, and inform this community in these difficult days. It's been said that no navigator ever distinguished himself in a calm sea, and you, sir, have shown to be a navigator of great distinction. My thanks to you for what you've done for all of us.

I shall always be grateful to him - for maintaining and continuing to provide a site that quite literally changed my life.??
We shall raise our glasses high in tribute to him on April 10.?

The forum and review sites showed me a door that I didn't know existed and allowed me to safely enter a world that I had only dreamed about. For that I will always be grateful. With sadness - RIP Daddy

Sincere condolences to those who knew him well, in particular @Cooper who has been so helpful this past month.

Our lives - and many people’s livelihoods - have been enriched as a result of Daddy’s efforts and accomplishments. Technology can build a platform for communication, but it takes a specific kind of soul to actually nurture a community.

    RIP Guy Fawkes

Awful news. I'm so grateful for this site that he created and for the camaraderie and people I've interacted with here. I hope he knew how much this forum meant to so many.

I am very sorry to report that Guy Fawkes/daddy passed away this evening of heart failure. For over a month he remained in the hospital unconscious and on life support.

His passing touches us all. He was a man who dedicated his life to providing a Forum where men would feel free and comfortable talking about all sorts of topics that covered our life style.

Having worked with daddy since he started this site I got to see first hand how much he cared about people and viewed us as his family. He was a very bright man with a love for life. He will be missed.

    RIP Daddy/Guy Fawkes

    With sympathy,
    Cooper

You are right about this. It leans towards negative, but there can be valid reasons for such a change. Personally, it is not disqualifying, but it comes with additional due diligence imho.

    Longtime no post!

I just wanted to give a heads up to this profile in Arizona:

    https://rent.men/Giftwrapped

I'm planning a work trip there so decided to reach out and find out his availability. He was pushy and wanted pics. I didn't send them. After I said I would be in touch to schedule, he started mentioning specific names of family members and work associates. It seems he did a background check on my number and found out some information and was trying to extort me. Lucky for me I was using a burner number, so the info was from the previous owner which I googled and verified.

I reached out to Rentmen, so hoping they do the right thing. Looks like he has a review already regarding this.

Just giving everyone a heads up!

Met him several years ago a few times for breakfast, dinner, and/or a Jimmy Z show in his native southern California.....he leaned toward an energetic "alpha"-type of dude and the first time we met up at a Ventura Blvd restaurant he was dressed in all black and looked like an FBI agent!......I remember he got into a slight tussle with another patron at the Jimmy Z show!.......after a successful real-estate career, he cashed out, left a much-changed LA area ("it was paradise here when I was a kid", he told me), and moved to Ft. Lauderdale to live the life on the Intracoastal with his much-loved boat docked out back.......

his postings here tapered off a good bit in the last couple or three years, but longtime forum members will remember him......

I noted this in another thread, but if you don't read that thread, you won't see it. So I post it here in case you are interested:
Long posts need white spaces. It's as simple as that. If you want your post read in its entirety, then give it some space!

White space is a design principle. Simply, the absence of text draws your eye to the text. It literally refers to the amount of space around and between the words.
    ...
We should use white space because:

It makes it easier for us to read.
It draws the reader's attention to the text.
    It is uncluttered and calming.

I hate the use of incorrect gender identification. There may be men who prefer she or they and I am fine with that. But in general, I find referring to gay men as she is off putting.

A concern in widening the audience would also be to properly monetize it so that Daddy has everything he needs. Forever.

While escort discussion could remain the main theme, expanding the forum topics would help bring in a better cross-section of new members. It would also allow for natural targeted ads and easier seo.

If a member didn't want to see ads, they would be welcome to pay a small monthly fee to hide them.
