The State of the Self - Have we Lost a Sense of Community...
soloyo215 replied to mike carey's topic in The Lounge
"toxic" something has become a recent trend to define behavioral patterns that are unhealthy harmful, and disguised as beneficial, loving or healthy. It's based on things like passive-aggression or obsession with denying reality. @mike carey Thank you. I have something to listen to in the plane on my way back home soon. I'll comment then. -
How long is the perfect length of time?
soloyo215 replied to Andysquestions's topic in Questions About Hiring
Never done an all-nighter, so I can't comment on that. In my experience, without rushing, I feel comfortable with having between an hour and an hour and a half, not rushing and not being a one-minute man. Went for two hours and it was ok, but not essential. I have a husband, so that is also factored in when deciding how much time (and money) I'm willing to dedicate to/with providers. -
True, but even that almost half the country alsohave very conservative views around sex and sexual expression. Let's not forget that either.
-
From the link: "But despite the lack of evidence, the mere thought that the sex tapes might exist has sent some people online into a frenzy about them." Just another non-story to keep it alive and people expecting something relevant to happen. BTW, shouldn't we call it something other than sex tapes? Tapes are a little, like, obsolete. Just sayin'.

Another self-important "influencer" trying to get unearned, self-serving attention.
-
Well, maybe. If you watch the Investigation Discovery channel, there's a show named "Deadly Women", where they feature crimes committed by women. Other shows also have episodes of people who have killed their spouses to avoid the shame of divorce, or because the spouse was masturbating or deriving sexual pleasure from something other than another person. So yes, there are people who seem to think that murder is less embarrassing than sex.
-
In the USA, it's part of the puritan and christian heritages. It's more tolerable to kill than to masturbate. The place that they give to anything sexual is beyond belief. Spouses that have that attitude towards their partners masturbating to porn are just projecting their own insecurities and inadequacies around it. Masturbation is just men being men, nothing more. We do it, we like it, and we enjoy it. The rest is just nobody's business.

Is Reddit an Escape from Social Media Madness?
soloyo215 replied to mike carey's topic in The Lounge
I know of Reddit and have followed some in the past, but I'm not fond of social media in general. The read is interesting, maybe I'll take a closer look. Thanks for sharing this. -
Arranging a group with a provider
soloyo215 replied to GlendaleSmooth's topic in Questions About Hiring
Without mentioning names, I remember a threat here where one of the providers disclosed being hired for that type of setting. I'm sure it's possible. I personally gave up anything that involves more than two people (including me), but I've enjoyed groups configurations in the past. -
So few reviews about trans men (or FTM) providers…?
soloyo215 replied to Erbenle's topic in Questions About Hiring
In my experience, although I've known of FTM (trans men), they have been a very tiny minority in comparison with the availability of gay men. That might be a reason why there aren't that many discussions about them. I do know of them since the 90s, so they have been around and available for some time. However, it was in time after being widely known that it seems like the largest demographic for FTM providers are gay men. That might be another reason for them having more visibility recently, and almost anonymity in the past. I know of many men who have curiosity for them, but I have no idea of how many actually satisfy their curiosity. I personally have no interest in FTM providers, but they are out there, available just like other providers. In my experience and opinion, they are just not that many. It'll be great if an individual who is a trans man could join and give their perspective. -

Chaplain in NYC arrested for soliciting an escort
soloyo215 replied to ShortCutie7's topic in The Lounge
Not a concern at all. This is just another sensationalistic headline with enough information to cause reactions. -
In my experience that's just BS, and exactly what you imply it's for; it's supposed to be enticing, and supposed to excite you ant to please you. I don't care either way. Sometimes I've responded with some kind of smart remark, and sometimes I just let them know what does excite me. I don't talk about my genitals. I care more about cleanness, the attitude attached to the hole, and if the person is attractive to me. So far I've been perfectly fine with what has been presented to me.
-
It's not an easy thing to care only within the confines of the scope of the type of relationships that we have with providers. It is high risk work and we cannot interfere with how they do it. I don't take them for granted, and I respect boundaries, but I don't think it's my place to get into their personal lives. That said, if they reach out to me for help (real help, not that they want money) I'd be decent and help. I've helped strangers, some of them thankless, out of being a decent human being, and I've helped fuck buddies I've had, so why not helping a provider that I know (and had good times with).

Fyre Festival 2.0, like a bad provider returning
soloyo215 replied to + glutes's topic in The Lounge
For real? Do people want another financial and emotional spanking? Crazy. Interesting I was just having a conversation with my husband about (I guess) the first Fyre Festival. I saw a re-run of the story on it in CNBC, the "American Greed" show. I was telling him that the essence of the idea is not bad, had it been carried out properly instead of it being the scam and fiasco that it was. Billy McFarland is as unbelievable as the idiots who choose to follow him. -
I think, and this is just my opinion, that the question is a little too general. It is as complex as human sexuality is. I'm not sure all bottoms like being treated the same way, excited the same way or by the same person. One can be skillful, attractive and hot, but have no chemistry or not be liked by a given person. I guess that the one thing that makes a good top is to find the think that a given bottom likes the way he likes it, given that such bottom is actually attracted to such top.

Sad news. RI.P. Thank you for the good times you gave to many of us.

Why does it have to be so complicated?
soloyo215 replied to + Pensant's topic in Questions About Hiring
My guess is that it's a "higher-risk situation" fee. You might not have any ill-intentions with the provider, but that's not necessarily the case with others. They are in a foreign land probably with little knowledge of their rights or how to protect themselves. Just a guess. -
No Chat Option, No Contact Number. How to Contact??
soloyo215 replied to Jayse's topic in Questions About Hiring
I've tried good old-reliable Google, and find other profiles with the same name in other platforms. I hope it works for you. -
I once saw a profile with pictures of the guy from the 80s.
-
It's a shady strategy to have everything ready and at the last minute give you an insane quote. Insist, or change providers.

Clients who almost exclusively seek straight providers.
soloyo215 replied to studchaser's topic in Questions About Hiring
I'm most certainly not in that category, but have known (way too) many gay men who prefer "straight" men. What I notice is (a) a forbidden fruit type of curiosity/desire, (b) low self-image, thinking that straight means better, (c) the ultimate masculine fantasy, they love masculinity. I personally prefer gay men for one simple reason: why on Earth am I going to pursue a person who, by the very definition of who/what they are, doesn't like me? -
I have, and I still do. However, I don't take care of my body to get the admiration of others. It's good and nice to be liked and accepted, but I don't depend on that or use it as motivation. I take care of myself to the best of my ability, considering my lifestyle, preferences, age and health status. Other than the people who matter to me, I can't care less what they have to say. Gyms are there for whoever pay for them to use them, not to please the view of others. Those are the ones who are out of place, not you.

That guy sound quite pathetic. I've seen many people behaving like that in other ways. Just another petty loser. Really, how empty your life has to be to incur in that to feel something? He should be exposed, his name and info should be made available to other prospective targets of his petty nonsense. I do like the idea of having the client pay for the transportation to the place. Not only it will cost him, but his information will be documented. Sorry you had to deal with that bullshit.
