March 26th  will mark the 3rd Anniversary of daddy/ @Guy Fawkes passing. I was just reading through the numerous tributes posted in this thread and reflecting on the contributions each one of you have made to keep his memory alive.
When @HooBoy passed @Guy Fawkes took control and worked tirelessly to keep the site going. Unable to purchase it he created a new site and transferred all our posts and reviews to the new one. We were all so appreciative for this as it kept our community together. When daddy suddenly passed I thought this was the end  but, fortunately, contacts were made and daddy’s labor of love continues through all our eyes.
Cheers to daddy! I truly enjoyed my years working along side with him and I’m certain he’d be so pleased knowing the site he created is still up and running! 🥂 🍾
Thanks to all the supportive members who stuck around to watch as the show must go on!
    RIP my old friend. 🙏

As we approach the 3rd anniversary of Daddy's passing, I want to acknowledge the great work on behalf of a small team of volunteers who keep this community active and thriving!  The days and weeks following daddy's death were fraught with uncertainty - and this community nearly perished.   This community pulled together and found our way through - got access to the site code, migrated the site to new technology, and developed a new support structure.  We even came up with a new name for our community!  While every volunteers' contributions are valued, I wanted to especially acknowledge @RadioRob our tireless webmaster.   He does his work with no fanfare, no drama and almost no downtime; and he seeks no recognition.   @RadioRob we are grateful!     ....CompanyOfMen

I go to an open gym session where some of the guys will go shirtless, and there's one guy in particular with the most incredibly built and toned body... I feel like I can't even look his way, though, because if I dare to sneak a glance I will just STARE. So I feel like I'm constantly averting my eyes - and sometimes it feels almost like he's aware of it and purposely trying to do things next to me. It's like floating a pizza in front of someone who's trying to diet. There's a part of me that loves it and a part of me that's like, "Would you PLEASE just leave me alone?!"

I’m the same. I don’t like to stare at someone who is good looking. That would be in circumstances where there is no likelihood of a hookup. Of course in the old days of pickups in gay bars when I was younger, a little staring often paid handsome dividends.
I had to watch myself yesterday in the locker room because when the black kid got out of the shower he was towelling himself in front of me. I had already caught a glimpse of his beautiful ass when he went into the shower and now I wanted to get a glimpse of the package in front. Without being obvious of course.

I got my chance without making it obvious and was not disappointed. It hung long and heavy in a nice dark bush. Yum. 😋

For those who dislike the thick nature of SPF, let me recommend Korean and Japanese formulations.
They're like clear jelly, blend in perfectly and protect very well.

High SPF lotion for the face, spray for the body. You can reach your own back with the spray if necessary, but a companion helping you is more comfortable and accurate. Rub the back of your hands together with either lotion or spray to get that skin covered without greasing up the pads of your fingers and palms. That last trick works well for day to day moisturizing products.
…and for those of you blonds, gingers, and others as pale as I am, reapply every hour, stick to the shade, wear a hat, sunglasses, and be extra careful about your exposure between 10am-2pm.
…or simply stay indoors and take a sigh of relief!

It's really best to use a whole separate SPF made specifically for your face.

The only downside to sunblock spray is the face.  I've tried spraying into my hands then rubbing on my face, but it still occasionally runs into my eyes and stings.  Best stick with lotion for the face, then body spray everywhere else.

    Spray works.
It's a little creeper asking strangers to 'get your back'
Plus, we all use cell phones, all the time, and most people don't want to get their hands greasy.

On Amazon, search for "sunscreen back applicator" and you'll get a huge variety of options. Some even fold up easily for travel. Some have video demonstrations. All have reviews that you can read through to see how they've worked (or haven't) for others. And sure, feel free to ask a handsome stranger if you're willing to trust your luck. 🤞😉It could end up being a fun "how we first met" story to tell at your wedding.

Every once in a great while, I buy a box of Cap'n Crunch Peanut Butter which I have for dessert, a guilty pleasure that takes me back to childhood.  But I have no desire to have it, nor any other cereal, as my dinner.
I haven't bought Peanut Butter Crunch in a long time because the price jumped so much -- eek!

I eat whatever I am in the mood for, no matter the time of day.  Then again, I sleep for a few hours a couple of times a day and do not have anything near a regular schedule.  I often stay up all night & sleep during the day.  I had pot roast at 6 AM yesterday.

Andy768 reacted to + JEC in Is racism rampant in the American healthcare system?
As someone who works in healthcare, our Healthcare system is designed by rich white STRAIGHT men, for rich white STRAIGHT men.  We put the best hospitals ckinics and clinicians in affluent areas (we call it a "good payer mix", payers being insurance).  We schedule services during normal working hours.  Majority of information is in English, and staff are English speaking.  We don't really attempt to understand peoples' cultures, norms, preferences, or unique factors that affect their health.  Research dollars disproportionately go to solve problems of rich white STRAIGHT men.  Visiting hours don't accommodate ppl who work odd hours, or multiple jobs.  It's hard to even get a routine lab draw done outside of "normal working hours".  I could go on and on.
I'll offer you an example.  I had a minor surgery recently where I stayed overnight in the hospital.  I brought my usual daily meds with me including my PREP (Truvada).  Well, the fact that I brought my own meds triggered a huge drama.  A nurse manager was called, then a pharmacist was called to the room.  They held the plastic ziplock bag up "what's this blue pill"?.  They took the pills away for investigation.  They came back 2 or 3 times to ask more questions.  Meanwhile, they must have said the word Truvada (at full volume) what felt like 100 times....in my 10X10 room with a STRAIGHT roommate whose family was visiting.  It sounded and felt like Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada Truvada.   All while recovering from anesthesia.  No consideration about my privacy, or that being on that particular med might be sensitive information.  THAT is what a healthcare system designed by rich white STRAIGHT men looks and acts like.

Andy768 reacted to + Charlie in If the bottom does not have an erection and does not ejaculate is he really enjoying it?
I became sexually active fairly young (17), so most of the gay men with whom I had sex in the early years were older than I was, and most wanted to, or expected to, fuck me. They seemed to stereotype me as a "twink," since I was average height (5'10") and very slender, and I was attracted to taller men who were well built and hairy, so they often were taken aback when I resisted the classic script. As a result, when they did fuck me, I was usually less than enthusiastic about it, and rarely maintained an erection while being fucked.
The first time that I discovered that getting fucked could actually be pleasurable occurred in my early 20s. I was a regular at a local gay bar in Philadelphia, and one of the bartenders was a favorite with many customers. I found him physically and personally very attractive, and I was told by other regulars that he had a big cock and loved to fuck, and he was good at it. One night he suggested at closing that he would like to accompany me to my apartment, and I said yes. Because I liked him and already knew what to expect, I was relaxed and prepared to make the best of the experience. When we tumbled into bed we were still partly dressed, and he quickly took me from behind. He whispered sweet nothings in my ear as he slowly fucked me while jerking me off, and to my own surprise I came explosively at the same time he did! It wasn't until he withdrew that I saw his cock, and was shocked at the size of it--how could I possibly have taken that?! The answer, of course, was that I was strongly attracted to him, was psychologically prepared, and he was an expert at what he did to make me enjoy the whole physical and emotional experience. Unfortunately, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but he did make me realize that it was possible.

I really enjoyed Looking but wasn't a fan of this one. It's just not how I experience grief and it came across to me as more stylized than authentic. But to each his own! And happy to support an earnest effort from Andrew Haigh (and my local art theater!) anyway.
