My first name is real, it's Greg. Last name isn't because I was trying to think of something I could remember when I had to create a new email and profile on here. Over time I have come to know the real first name of several escorts.

I know the real names of about 90-95% of the working guys I've met. Some have told me before we met (for various reasons), some immediately have after having sexy time, and some sometime after I've known them awhile. I use my real name, though that real name is a nickname that friends and family use. I only use my given name professionally, so using the nickname is the more authentic name.

 

I usually ask escorts if they prefer to be called by the name under which they were hired or some other name. Many use their real name, others prefer the stage name. The amount of information the an escort reveals varies tremendously. I never considered that the escort would think it rude to ask.

I never share my government name with clients. I don't accept western union or PayPal as payment because they require it. I always buy my own plane tickets for this reason also.

 

But then again, I'm transgender, and haven't managed to change my legal name yet, so sharing my government name is extremely unappealing to me because it's a girl's name and I hate it. Even most of my close friends do not know my government name. For me it's like a curse word that shouldn't be said out loud. I wince every time I have to use it with a customer service agent. I have never shared my full first/last name with a provider. Confidentiality is very important to me. I have shared my first name after meeting with a few, just "in conversation". And I share details about myself in very general terms, i.e. "I work in IT". Most providers have been willing to tell me their first name, assuming they are being honest. One provider (so far) has been willing to share their full name + address. I think there's plenty of legitimate cause for concern about confidentiality for both providers and clients, especially given current administration, recent events @ RentBoy, the legal climate in your state and also what you personally have at stake. I can't imagine a scenario where I would disclose my full/real identity to a provider.
