This is funny!   And the old man smell is real!!

But actually …

As an escort, I have a number of clients who I’d classify as … with all due respect … surprisingly old.

And I have yet to encounter old man smell in a client situation.  Scouts’ honor.

Maybe staying sexually active keeps that part of aging at bay?  Which is to say…

Don’t stop hiring!

very self-evident advice......but, yeah, there is an old-man smell with some people.......

also, this is probably AI-produced (nothing new, I know)......watch the strange way his eyes blink......just another way youtube enables revenue-producing junk.......the stethoscope is a nice touch

Well, for my older brothers, believe it or not, what people call “old man smell” actually has a scientific basis. It’s tied to a compound called 2-nonenal that develops as skin chemistry changes with age (40 plus). It can create that faint musty note people talk about.

It’s important we stay active. As best as we can. Guys who stay socially (and even sexually) active tend to stay on top of grooming (clean clothes, fresh bedding, all of it) so you don’t really notice it.

But sorry fellas, the phenomenon itself is real.

I resent the generalized suggestion that older men have a particular smell.

I meant nothing personal. Apparently, the issue is very real. Lots of pages come up if you Google "older man smell."

My eyes aren't trained yet. I miss a lot of details these days.

My dentist friends also say people tend to forget that cavities and tonsil stones are major culprits of bad breath.  You can brush/floss your teeth and rinse your mouth all day long.  If you neglect the qualities of your teeth and tonsils, that rotten smell will follow you to your grave.

Great, so I won’t even rest in peace, I’ll rest in plaque.

What I found odd about the video is that out of all of the areas of the body that I can imagine one might avoid washing well, I'd never guess that behind the ears is one of them and a principal cause of body odor.

Skin cells die.

When we're young, the next 3 generations of cells are there to push them up and off with normal washing. No ghosts of cells past.

Later in life, there's less pushing from new cells under, and the dead cells hang on better and attract oils, dirt, and sweat (even minuscule) and it feeds a funk that grows fast. Even when we're clean. Behind ears is a problem- often extra oily, plus it's protected and extra warm. Exfoliation first line of defense.
