+ BOZO T CLOWN Posted Thursday at 09:51 PM Posted Thursday at 09:51 PM She is not just a gorgeous face and body but an incredible woman with brains to match. In spite of the media’s best efforts, people love her. She makes the American people proud. It never ceases to amaze Bozo how some gay men are intimidated by both beautiful women and powerful women. As for box office sales, this from (left-wing) Deadline: "This brings us to Amazon MGM Studios’ $40M licensed documentary Melania, which is gaining steam in presales, we hear, with around $1M indicating a $5M-plus debut at 1,500 sites — potentially the best for a doc in a decade, besting Angel Studios’ After Death ($5M). Comps are right-wing movies like Matt Walsh’s Am I Racist?, which opened to $4.5M in 2024 and finaled around $12M in U.S./Canada. This Brett Ratner-directed intimate look at the First Lady in the 20 days leading up to the 2025 inauguration isn’t a movie that’s meant to pop in NYC and LA, rather it’s poised to overindex in right-leaning hubs like Houston, Phoenix, Orlando and Miami as well as rural areas with populations under 500K. Any success of the pic is geo-centric. The window is well beyond 10 days, we understand. So far, per distribution sources, presales seem organic: There’s no sense that MAGA groups are snapping up tickets in bulk a la Angel Studios with right-wing groups and Sound of Freedom." https://deadline.com/2026/01/send-help-iron-lung-melania-box-office-preview-1236700234/ BTC 🤡 + FrankR, + Lucky and thomas 3

d.anders Posted Friday at 03:00 AM Posted Friday at 03:00 AM In my long life, I have never seen or experienced the avalanche of social media laughter and disdain befallen a famous-person-subject of a documentary. Not just an extreme joke in America, but around the globe. It truly is amazing. If it were me, I wouldn't be able to leave the house, or ever show my face in public again. I don't think Melania cares, because she got what she wanted: money, and a lot of it. With this, and her re-negotiated pre-nup before returning to the White House, she and her blood family are set for life. Laughing all the way to the bank has a way of shielding one from public ridicule, especially if you are a narcissist. thomas and + glutes 2

There are literally hundreds of cabinet, sub-cabinet, federal agency heads, etc. This was a movie preview of a documentary of 20 days in the life of the First Lady. Not the Inaugural Ball. And it was sub-freezing temps in DC last night. Those who weren't there will see it another time or watch it on Netflix. Also, you should check your fake news source. + Lucky Posted Friday at 11:51 PM Posted Friday at 11:51 PM Google: The documentary Melania, released on January 30, 2026, is underperforming significantly, with opening weekend projections of only $1–5 million against a reported $40 million acquisition cost and $35 million marketing budget by Amazon. The film is facing very low attendance, with many theaters seeing nearly empty screenings. Weak Sales: Reports indicate, for example, that the Boston Common Theater sold under 20 tickets for its opening day. In the UK, chain Vue reported "soft" sales, and in South Africa, the distributor canceled the release. Failed Projections: Despite claims of high demand, early ticket data suggested a "massive bomb," with only two U.S. screenings reported as sold out in a survey of over 1,000. High Costs: Amazon MGM Studios spent heavily on the project ($75 million total). Regional Variance: While sales are very low, some stronger demand was noted in conservative areas, such as Houston, Texas, and parts of Florida. The film, directed by Brett Ratner, covers the 20 days leading up to the inauguration and is available in theaters and on Amazon Prime. I think I will rewatch Heated Rivalry instead! + glutes 1

Variety has stiff competition these days. They are all reporting what a financial disaster this film is. Everyone is talking about Bezos, the financial insanity, and what does it all mean. Some people are boycotting Amazon to show their disgust with the flagrant spending. Lots of analysts are concerned about the bandied term "curry favor." Clearly, Bezos could care less about any loss. I've seen interesting commentary from a few non-biased reporters (hard to find these days). The gist seems to be, left voters have absolutely no interest whatsoever, while most right voters appreciate her as the wife, but don't show much interest, either. They care much more about him than they do her. Makes sense to me, since many people say they can't understand her when she does speak. LOL. I always find that comment funny.
+ glutes Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM Author Posted yesterday at 01:34 AM I find this Forbes article gives a fair assessment of "Melania": https://www.forbes.com/sites/conormurray/2026/01/30/melania-movie-roasted-as-propaganda-by-critics-in-first-reviews/
+ glutes Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago And from USA Today: The "Melania" movie, directed by Brett Ratner and chronicling 20 days leading up to Melania Trump’s return to the White House, currently holds a Rotten Tomatoes score of 10%. This score reflects generally unfavorable reviews from critics, with the documentary being described as overly flattering and failing to provide new insights into Melania Trump’s life. The initial reviews highlight that most critics have rated the film between 1 and 1.5 out of 4 or 5 stars, with some noting that the documentary serves more as a carefully managed image piece than an in-depth exploration of its subject. Despite its high-profile premiere at the Trump-Kennedy Center, reviews from major outlets such as Variety and The Hollywood Reporter emphasize the lack of revelations and emotional disconnect in the film. This negative reception is echoed widely, establishing the movie’s low rating shortly after its cinematic debut. + jeezopete 1
Bargara Leatherboy Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago It has been reported in Australia that cinemas are showing this movie to totally empty cinema's. A reporter bought a ticket and reported that there were 2 people in the cinema including him - and he said he only bought the ticket and attended in a professional sense. I predict a total disaster at the box office - the only glimmer of hope will be in the USA heartland where people are still brainwashed that the current President is the answer to all the worlds problems. I live in Australia and all I have seen is alienating USA from the rest of the world ericwinters 1
