Dental insurance is crap. Never covers anything substantial. I've spent over $10K on my teeth over the last 15 years.

That’s nothing, less than  a thousand a year. I go four time yearly for cleaning and that’s around $1300. Other work from time to time is much more expensive. A root canal was about $1500 and a crown more than that. My benefits tap out at $1200 annually. To be fair my premiums are rather small, around $390 per year.
In the last 12 months I had to have a molar extracted when the root canal failed after a year. That was covered by our universal healthcare. I was told an implant would cost about $4000 but I could think about it as it is at the back of my mouth.
Actually one less tooth to get in the way when I’m deepthroating.

I'm always amused at listening to the radio and the person being interviewed will NOT stop talking despite the interviewer's attempts to break in.

I find if they stay on topic they are usually allowed to go on. If they they stray or say something that needs to be countered then a good interviewer will cut in, even if they have to talk over the interviewee. And apologize for doing so.

How is it that there are so many successful Russian and Eastern European tennis players, especially in the Women's game?  I know the government of some countries select out youngsters who show a proclivity for certain sports and then school them to succeed in that, usually the exclusion of other parts of their education.  Usually, here in the US, it is usually the parents pushing those grueling hours of practice onto their children.  Sometimes it pays of big like for "King" Richard Williams and two of his daughters.

I think it's because there are few other woman's sports that get much international coverage, and Russian and eastern European women with any physical ability at it will get support from the government if it appears that they have the talent to represent their country in competition on the international stage. That has been harder to accomplish since the tennis federations have banned use of the Russian flag next to the player's name because of the Russia/Ukraine war, so some of the top players have actually started playing as representatives of other Eastern countries' federations, like Kazakhstan (e.g., Elena Rybakina), even though they are ethnic Russians. Daria Kazatkina recently left Russia altogether and emigrated to Australia, mostly because she is a lesbian and therefore the Russians don't want her representing them anyway. If you asked most American fans about Victoria Azarenka, they probably couldn't tell you her origin (Belorussia), because she and her son live in the US and seem more like Americans.

Thanks for that Charlie.

Completely different topic.  I left my car in front of a hotel and told the valet parking attendant, I would be back in 20 minutes.  He told me it was fine to leave my car where it was, but I would have to leave him the key in case there was an emergency and it needed to me moved.  No charge.   When I returned, the driver's seat was totally reclined and the radio had been changed to a different station. There was a different attendant on duty.   What is the proper response to this?

I wound up giving the attendant a tip and I did not report it to the hotel.

"I hope whoever sat in my car doesn't catch lice from all the particles that were on my seat"
