I see no harm in texting again within a day to see if he got the message. With no response in the following several hours after your follow up, I would assume he is not going to respond at all. TT3690 Posted March 11 Posted March 11 Depends on the how quickly I'm trying to make plans, although anything more than ~8 hours on initial contact and I'm looking at other options.

I myself get wary of trying to be too specific on time and date. It seems to me if you narrow it down too much it's too easy for the provider to say nope, I'm busy. (If they respond at all.) Of course a good provider might say something like, sorry, I'm busy then, but how about such-and-such a time or date? Or, I'm generally more available at such-and-such time or day. (but how often does THAT happen?) I try to be as flexible with the time and date as possible, usually asking what would be the best time for THEM. (Of course that approach doesn't work much better for me, but that's another story...)
moonlight Posted March 19 Posted March 19 How common would you all say it is to never receive a response? Just happened to me from someone who is well reviewed and has a great reputation. My initial message is always respectful and straight to the point. I get it if the proposed times don't work, but no response kind of shuts the door on future appointments too.

When I have allowed longer, every reply to get a session setup takes an eternity and I don't trust reliability. I just setup two bookings in CA for a business trip next week. I reached out two 5 providers with the hope of getting two.. and that is exactly what I got. One of them is a famous porn star and he was the best at communication. moonlight 1
DomKingNYC Posted March 28 Posted March 28 (edited) These responses are quite generous because it seems like a lot of clients if you don't respond back in 30 minutes to an hour they move on since a lot of people are looking for right now lol Edited March 28 by DomKingNYC

+ Jamie21 Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Works both ways. Last week I had an enquiry about availability via RentMasseur. He asked if I was available in the next couple of days. I replied within 10 minutes to advise my availability….no reply back from the client. Ok so I’m the service provider, he isn’t obliged to reply if he’s no longer interested or he can’t do the times I offered. If he asks again though, I’ll take into consideration that he’s probably flaky… + DrownedBoy and + Vegas_Millennial 1 1
OceanTraveller Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Having a similar situation . I texted a hello and to make sure we are still on for 2 overnights in two weeks . Have not heard and this is a provider that was sent a deposit . I will give it a couple of days but too much time passes I will not hire . Just forget it . Everyone has a phone and after a couple of days I would not be comfortable . This has been booked for a month btw. Will give it some time and see,
