Ever since I started hiring several years ago, I don’t pay for porn anymore. For that matter, I find porn, even professional, sort of blasé. I’d rather pay for something real…instead of watching a screen or some guy I will never even have a chance meeting.

The guys who make it incur costs, it’s their work, if you don’t pay for it they don’t get paid. Of course there are those who are happy to perform for free but they don’t tend to be very good.

That’s nonsense. There are many real things that I am glad to pay for, like an excellent bottle of wine of a great restaurant meal. 
These days even fresh air or clean water to swim in May cost something to obtain.

That's nonsense.  Obviously, ANY tangible item you pay for is real.  If you pay for crystals to clean your aura, they are real.

The OP was comparing porn to a 'real' sexual encounter, which is something the other person would participate in if they weren't being paid.

There's nothing wrong with paying somebody for sex; it just isn't 'real'.  It's performance art of a very specific kind.

Well they do! I get paid by guys subscribing to my films. I think it’s partly because you’re paying to see stuff that is not available to everyone. There’s interest in exclusivity. Plus those that subscribe tend to like the niche that one operates in. If you like watching massages that develop into more and you like my style and look then you might decide to subscribe to my content for example. It costs me time and money to make (I pay an editor, I hire venues, I buy cameras and lights) so unless I’m doing it completely for the fun of it I do want to compensated for these costs and to make money. There’s of course the fun element and it’s definitely enjoyable or it wouldn’t look good but still…as it’s a job then I think it’s fair to get paid for it.

At the risk of getting crucified for saying so, I wish I got paid for every moment I dedicated to making my job successful. Sadly, fair compensation isn’t something a lot of people get for their time of effort related to work. That’s a topic that’s been beaten to death here and really not the point of my original post, though.

Yes I agree, I like to be paid something for my work rather than nothing at all. Personally I don’t watch (or buy) porn, I’m more into being watched than watching!

I hire the same guy every few months.  Since he’s on JFF I find myself watching his videos in the days before we have a live session.  By the time I get to his place I’m pretty worked up.
