@José Soplanucas I’m wondering if some of your pics (appreciated) would be better posted in the existing topic in the Fetish forum, and leave this topic in the lounge to actual discussion of the situation.

I am unsure of this one, and I am posting it in both. It is hard to separate the discussion of the situation from Lulu's fetishization.

Please, do not hesitate to redirect me if I did not make a good decision.

I just learned that United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson voluntarily agreed to distribute COVID 19 vaccines at no cost to the government or public, costing the company billions in emergency funding, because he wanted to make sure everyone had access during COVID.  He also infused cash into 300,000 hospitals in May 2020 at the peak of the pandemic.  He was a stand up guy.  More business men should have his values

Bless their hearts💕.  You can't make this comedy up.  I've heard others say that food should not be for profit, or housing should not be for profit.  The ignorance amazes me.

Back to the topic of the killing of this upstanding CEO, I met with a long-time friend yesterday who works for United Health.  He says now everyone hates him, but laughed it off.  He enjoys his work and finds his life fulfilling.  His predictions of what will change at United Health: more money spent on security.

Um, I'm assuming the mask was so as to not be recognized. Some people have jobs that could be at risk if they are seen at such a protest.

Really good....except that guy only became CEO in April 2021 😄

Thanks @DrownedBoy

UHC is already starting the gaslighting and propaganda.

They already started. Every news outlet refers to Thompson as a "loving husband and father" when he's really a drunken adulterer with a DUI conviction who separated from his wife 5 years ago and hasn't lived with his family in 3 years. The only reason he didn't get divorced was because he didn't want to jeopardize his job.

So, the CEO's "imaginary family" is still doing its job of making him look better than he really was.

I think so many people cheered about this because the wealth gap in this nation has become so nauseating (even more so than ever) and it is maddening to see how much some people make and waste.  Perhaps that is why these wealthy people may be facing the start of an epidemic:

I know it's morally and legally wrong, but considering that I've had to decide which tests to get that my doctor wants me to have and which specialist to see that he recommends because I can't afford all the copays (the first thing they teach in medical school is "assume all your patients are upper middle class so you never have to waste any time bothering to ask if they can afford what you are going to recommend") it's hard for me to have any reaction other than "my heart bleeds..."

And don't even get me started on the term "pain management", which is Latin for "suck it up and learn to live with it unless you can sell a kidney to afford physical therapy".

Don't worry that you aren't getting all the tests.  If you can't afford the copay for the tests, then you most certainly won't be able to afford the treatment anyway.  Just be thankful you haven't been gunned down on the sidewalk in front of where you work.  No amount of copays can bring Brian Thompson back to life.

When I first saw the pic on the left I had the same recollection of the infamous Lee Harvey Oswald shooting in Dallas, down to the two sheriffs escort, with the one on the left in a tan suit. How uncanny to see the two pics side by side. My recollection was dead on.

What I also noticed with seeing the two photos together is how similarly dressed Oswald and Mangioni are. The fashion of their outfits is identical, remarkable given that 61 years have passed.

Just because the epidemic ended doesn’t mean people are not still getting sick and dying of COVID. Some are more susceptible to dying because of age or underlying conditions. So don’t scoff at people who want to protect themselves. You don’t know what they are experiencing.

Just last week I read the obituary of an illustrious Canadian who died of complications arising from COVID. He was wealthy and in his 80’s. He would probably have been the most surprised to die that way and at this time.

I have known two people who acquired COVID in the last several months. The pandemic, not epidemic, has ended but the virus lives on.
