I'm even more curious about law enforcement people who volunteer to risk their lives for a living, or people who work in case management doing all kinds of thankless jobs trying to help people who are lost causes.

When it comes to folks who do jobs, they hate I guess it's because they think they have no better choice. We have a frequent poster who worked for the Federal Government in this city for years, hating his job and coworkers, he retired as soon as he could. He (like so many) bought a house for peanuts that's now worth a small fortune. He made his own choices and now he's wealthy. He could have moved to other city but buying of even renting would have been more expensive. 

Waiters should try to work in fancy restaurants, that's where the real money is!

Most cops love to service their community, others love to intimidate, and bully. 

I guess we always have choices, is up to us to pick them! 

An escort I see often told me he worked as a store clerk and hated it, he felt like a slave chained to the store for 8 hours. Now he loves the money, freedom, etc.

Hmmm...physical beauty, personal charm, sexual prowess; my historic advice to novice "escorts" is that the referenced qualities are assets, a portfolio if you will, to be exploited for profit. Another way to think of it is as a classic Plan B occupation, like real estate or many areas of sales. The opportunity presents itself or they know or discover someone who already is doing it. Also, there are reasons for starting and often other reasons for staying. It’s a relatively efficient way to generate cash flow, it allows non-traditional hours which can be useful for other things like school, avocations or pursuits like art or writing that can take years, at best, to become primary occupations. You have to be good at it to make a long-term go of it and it helps to have a greater than average sex drive and some openness to sexual experience.

I am glad there are guys out there willing to share their time with me. That's some magic sauce right there. Follow what this guy says and you'll have an amazing time.

Last reason is the main reason why I would never publicly disclose I escort. Even on RM a few times when I've interacted with other providers for a favor or a random question, some have assumed I want to go to bed with them because I simply decided to contact them. Like this guy that gave me a couple of viagra pills one time. We met at his apartment and after I left he texted me to tell me he wanted to fukk. I was so gross out because he wasn't even my type (very handsome dude, but still not my type) and that was never why I contacted him.

Just because I escort doesn't mean I will fuck anything that moves. To start with, I do not have anal and neither I suck dick at work. It's something I make clear when I meet with a client. I don't do it for pleasure. It's just flexible and easy for now.

A few thoughts:

Over the years of hiring I have asked more than one escort how he got started in the business.  The majority found out that somebody they knew was in the business and decided to give it a try based on what their friend/acquaintance told them -- the chance to make tax free money doing something they enjoyed was too intriguing to pass up.  A minority accepted a proposition to have sex for money (either because they needed it or out of curiosity or a sense of adventure) and then subsequently found out that it was in fact a profession and joined the ranks.

It is, to me, surprising, how many escorts are also on Scruff and/or Grindr.  I have the impression that a lot of them REALLY enjoy sex, at least some to the point of a sex addiction.  (I realize some of the profiles may just be stolen pics.)  The few times I've been rimmed by an escort, it was always initiated by the escort and totally obvious he was having a great time, indeed, I wasn't sure he was going to stop, to my great pleasure.  Based on how well many of them kiss, which is a big thing for me, I'd say they enjoy that a lot, too.

From my conversations with escorts, money seemed to be one factor for all of them.

More than one talked about regulars who only want company or cuddling and rarely sex.

I am sure I posted this somewhere,  but it fits here too. I used to wonder about people like Reese Rideout, someone sexy, seemingly intelligent, happily married, who, at times, seemed to be willing to do anything to make a buck with his body. I thought, "Why don't you just get a job somewhere and be super successful at it?" Inbetween, I had an incredible job,  but there was no way I would be able to retire on the salary or even maintain my home long term. 

So, if someone likes doing this work and it feeds their spirit instead of kills it, I now give then a round of applause. Many of us work for companies that would pay us minimum wage and work us from dawn to dusk, if they could, forcing us to do the work of two people.
