are we allowed to talk so dirty in this forum?? :) :)

Sure, but then list urine among your shower supplies for washing up and gargling. It’s mint but economical. And saves time if it’s both the during and the after.

Saliva is not your anti-bacterialSTI friend. Spit is both implicated in gonorrhea transmission and does not convincingly inhibit gonorrhea making touchdown or contained within it. The OP only either benefits from episodic post-fellatio mouthwash use or doesn’t.

Call me crazy, but I use mouthwash just to freshen my breath after sucking cock or eating ass. I've never mistaken Scope or Listerine as a form of liquid prophylactic.  A swish of mouthwash is just good manners.

That's what I thought, but my SO insisted on kissing right after I swallowed and didn't seem to mind.

Speaking of mouthwash, I wish providers would use it before meeting clients (mainly me). I can't tell you the number of guys who I couldn't wait to embrace close to me and kiss and all I can smell is garlic or bok choy from their veggie dinner / lunch. A total turn-off (mostly those under 40).

I read that mouthwash after oral was safer and then read that it has nearly no impact.  Even at no impact it seemed like an easy thing to do that might have some small risk reduction, so I just did it anyway… most of the time.

I’d keep a towel and a travel sized bottle of lysterine beside the bed, gargle with the mouthwash and just spit it into the towel as I wiped my face.

Lately I’d been wondering about swapping the mouthwash for a flask of hard liquor. I could gargle the liquor AND swallow it sending the disinfectant alcohol down the same path as the semen, not need to spit anything, AND enjoy the drink.

THIS is the best strategy I've heard yet!  And,  to be sure to follow ALL the paths of the semen, take an alcohol enema as well! 🎉

My doctor told me to never brush my teeth before oral sex.

You increase the chance of infection significantly if you've opened up a bleeding gum tissue with a vigorous brushing. Use mouthwash BEFORE your hook up in lieu of brushing.

You can brush your teeth, but make sure you do it at least half an hour before going down.

In the discussions of oral hygiene, it’s first important to maintain proper practices to ensure the health of your teeth & gums BEFORE oral sex is even involved…. Brush after every meal…. Floss daily (daily flossing stimulates the gums, strengthens them, resulting in LESS bleeding (note: At this point, my gums don’t bleed during deep cleanings..) and use a mouthwash… mouthwash at the least helps rinse debris out of the mouth. mouthwash, hydrogen peroxide and tea-tree infused coconut oil mouth rinse (for oil pulling) is in my bathroom cabinet. At least one of them are used within a day.

Once you reach the point of kissing, sucking and licking on others, at the least have a clean, healthy mouth. This way, a gargle after oral action can at least ensure that you’re not walking around with dick, ball and  ass breath…. I’m not going to get into “scientific” studies, but I’ll say this: when I first came in the game I’m at 18, one of the first guys I ever met who became a good friend and early mentor always told me to gargle with hydrogen peroxide after any oral action. I’ve never had an oral infection or STD.

A lot of men have poor oral hygiene to begin with, which is why their yuck mouths have issues before they even suck on a schlong.

My dentist says to add a little warm water to the mouth wash before using.

My dentist also said to add water to the mouth wash. In my opinion mouth wash without water feels very "aggressive".
