Why do so many providers use tri/quad-mix instead of pills?

First thread! Been here for the better part of a year and love the forum. It’s led me to some good guys and warned me away from others.

I’ve been doing this since March, after a long sexual drought brought on by weight gain in my early 30s. Now 40, I’ve shed most of the weight and am using providers to re-learn and build up some confidence.

I’ve seen about 12 providers, and one thing I’ve noticed is that 4 of them used an injection to get erect, and that’s only counting the ones that did it while I was there—others could have done it before I got there or they arrived. One even had a side hustle of selling quad to other providers that he mentioned during our talk.

I understand that the nature of the business requires help with boners, but why does it seem so many providers use injections (which I’d consider the hard-on nuclear option) over something like cialis, which you can take once a day and get erect whenever you’re aroused? From chatting with one, it apparently caused him sensitivity bordering on pain as well. I’d never even heard of these before seeing providers.

I briefly used viagra when my weight was higher, and my doctor said that people generally don’t build tolerance to the popular pills. Is there a reason for the use of injectables among gay providers, or have I just had the luck to stumble upon a bunch of these guys in a short period?

Thanks for any replies. I searched the forum and also scoured the internet for answers to this before asking here. I’m curious enough to make my first thread here!

I’ve been hiring for well over a decade and I’ve never seen
a provider inject their penis. It may just be a "local" thing
that’s caught on in your area’s provider pool.

It’s more of a "sure thing" than the pills. That’s why it’s
so popular in the porn world where "boner = money".

I’m curious if other have seen this phenomenon in escorts.

I don’t think it’s local, because the dude selling it as a side hustle has no base of operations and is always traveling. I guess it’s possible he only sells where it’s popular. Your “sure thing” idea is probably right. Even with pills, you probably can’t always guarantee performance on demand, especially with a provider’s schedule.

And thanks for the compliment  I appreciate it. The way people react to you when you go from 300 to 200 is like you’ve just gone from invisible to visible. People are a lot more positive towards me now. Makes me feel good about myself (but also makes me think a lot of those people are superficial).

I join the friend who congratulates you, @Abrader. I also share @nyman's experience. I stopped hiring in the US about three years ago, but during the years I was active I never met a provider who would trimix to get erected. Maybe is a new trend? I do not know.

What I do know is that trimix is 100% reliable and instant whether or not you are aroused. You get an erection that may last hours, and you need a new injection to kill your boner. If you take pills, you will not get hard if you are not aroused.

Respect your post. Note that it is not “100%” reliable, efficacy varies. Antidote many use is the oral Sudafed that is not prescription but must be asked for at pharmacy counter, and they log your purchase. This procedure due to the drug is a component in enough quantity as an ingredient in crystal meth.

I have had numerous encounters over the past nine years, and in that time I only had one escort who did this (that I know of).  He was having issues with getting hard, and he asked if I minded if he did something about it.  I said sure, then was quite surprised when he pulled a syringe out.  He didn't do it in front of me, but after he was rock hard and when we finished up he explained to me what it was and said it worked much better than a pill.

Do you know whether this provider also worked for the porn industry?

I know of one pretty popular provider, who on occasion, took Caverject injections before each session. He told me about it and told me when he uses it. It wasn't always, but when I would notice a little bruise on his penis... I knew he took a shot. This was years ago (probably around 7 years ago since I last I saw him). For reference, I had seen him for almost 10 years before we stopped seeing each other. In his case, he saw multiple people a day. I figured he used it to guarantee an erection for each client or when he thought he couldn't perform.

So I don't think it's a new thing, but the prevalence of it may be growing.

As to why they may use it over pills... who knows. However, I would surmise sometimes the various pills aren't as effective (the don't always work for everybody) or causes the guy some unwanted side effects. So it just may be easier and less problematic for the individual to take the shot.

Now, going back to the opening post...

Is this really a new tendency? Are escorts using trimix nowadays in the US? Has someone else noticed this besides the OP?

I can’t speak for everybody but I been in the game since 2008 and never put any injection. I wouldn’t even want to do that even if it did get me hard.

I’ve always been a fan of the natural stuff sold in health stores, which do work…and then maybe a lil viagra/Cialis stuff for occasional backups. For example, I have one that tastes like mint and chocolate, but I have had it for months and only occasionally take a piece of a piece of it.

I really don’t even like a forced erection. I like a natural erection like someone said earlier: that comes and goes. Having a constantly rock hard dick will damage it to where you WILL need to rely on those things, I feel.

Best practice is nutrition, supplements and limiting sex. I rarely see more than 1 or 2 clients a day. If I do, I’m pacing myself. My mind has to feel horny, before my Dick does…

Um I just wonder how much sticking a needle in your dick hurts, I hope not much

Interesting.  If you don't mind me asking, what is that called and where did you find it?

I don't know about providers, but I can say that use of tri-mix among older men is very common.   My husband uses it because PDE5 inhibitors give him a pounding headache.  I use it occasionally because, more and more, cialis tends to mess with my BP,  without giving me a good boner.

Thank you everyone, this thread is very informative. I wish I had the guts to inject myself, that is one of the reasons I never tried ilegal drugs using syringes.

I have NEVER been able to get hard on any of the pills over the last 20+ years.  They just make me feel sick.   I also don't get spontaneously hard even when excited.  I have always just got too much in my head.  I have a great fat dick and I hated wasting it. So I tried the mix.  It's amazing and scary at the same time.  You really need a doctor who is paying attention and you trust.  It was difficult to find the right amount to inject and once I had an erection for over 6 hours.  As nice as that sounds it was a bit terrifying.  I had to take multiple sudafed to eventually get it down.  Just a friendly caution, should you choose the injections don't think of it in terms of "well maybe I can get even harder with just a pinch more".

I'm glad to hear someone else had the same experience as me. I tried some pills from a friend and just mainly gave me a headache and made me feel a little hot.
