Not much I can do really...I guess I let my guard down. I never ask for the payment first but maybe I should? Should I ask for a deposit too?... It at the end of the month too after the holidays so really needed that last bit for rent. I try not to make my post a downer but had to put this somewhere.

Stay safe everyone and Happy New Years 🍾

A provider ran out, or a client?  I'm a bit confused here, which isn't all that unusual.

I have no problem paying up front. I actually think for first/new meetings with clients it can be wise for a provider to ask for payment up front. This is different from asking for a deposit. Just make sure client is dealing with a well reviewed, and established provider. There is not much a provider can do if a client runs away without paying. They can’t call the cops or anything.

I agree and definitely do not have a problem as a client putting aside payment in like a nightstand drawer or whatever. I think especially if the provider is hosting, it's not a problem for them to request payment before anything gets going.

Also I'm really sorry this happened to you @AsianGuyCA. Some guys are such jerks.

I've never done it and only been asked once by a new provider. I showed him the money but didn't hand it over until after our two hour session. It went alright but the lack of trust bugged me a little and I didn't hire him again.

I am a premium client and providers can see my track record on my profile. I tell them in advance before setting up the appointment

I generally do reviews on all the positive experiences. The odd negative one I let go.

I have met providers who want payment before the session. I usually just put the cash on a table or something instead of handing it over. I only recall one provider taking it immediately and put it in the hotel safe, and I have no problem with that. Other providers just leave it there and start the session. I don't think payment before/after the session has any correlation to the quality of the service.

I once saw a provider who wanted to be paid upfront which was ok. I had a stack of $20’s. He stood there and meticulously counted the stack. I thought that was really tacky.

Yeah I agree. I usually add a $20 tip but keep it separate from the total donation. I had a guy do that once and after a mediocre session, it definitely made it easier just to give him exactly what he counted and not any more.

I ask clients to leave their shoes outside the door (they’re safe, in a hallway). It’s to keep the floor clean but the added benefit is they can’t get far without their shoes if they’re going to do a runner!

Now THAT darn near qualifies as brilliant.  😎

@AsianGuyCA I'm sorry you went through that; you in no way deserve it and you're absolutely trusting and personable from what I saw when I met you at the Palm Springs event.

Were you able to make your rent this month?

Ehh not really. Luckly im with my family for new years so no spending till the 2nd lol

I have no problem leaving payment on the table when we meet. I always refuse to send deposits before the actual meet up.

Sorry you got a creep. Was he displeased with the service ? Where did he come from ? Providers should have a forum to warn others about psycho customers .

I can tell you he was NOT displeased with my service haha 😉 I mean all i have is his number and the photos he sent nothing you can really see tho

I do think its a hard balance between trusting each other and then having a mediocre session. I have lots of stories ive heard from clients about bad sessions theyve had but also escorts get scammed pretty often as well. I would say that my sessions are top notch (other peoples words! haha) but first timers dont know that. Its been a few days already and reading everyones messaged kept me level headed and more relaxed. I didnt know what to feel after it happened but feeling much better 💖

We all feel a sense of disruption in the Universe when people behave in ways we consider unethical/ inconsiderate/inhuman. The world is scattered with assholes. We can only hope we cross their path seldomly.
