Hell yes. One of the best changes that improved my enjoyment of porn was the upgrade in compact microphones. Old porn from the 90s and older, with doubled soundtrack, seems insufferable nowadays.

I specifically put in "noisy". when looking for porn.  I do not watch porn often, but I like to think that I am watching through a peephole and can hear everything going on through the wall.  I want there to be loud, manly,animalistic groans and moans and a loud orgasm.  Sometimes, if the porn is noisy and hot, I can close my eyes and just listen and that can be, for me, as hot as watching.

As one who was introduced to gay porn in the late 70’s, I have heard the gamut. 
Sometimes the actual noises of sex do seem alike -slapping, slurping, moaning, dirty (limited) vocabulary, but when the guys are clicking in personality, especially when laughter is included, it heightens it all for sure.

I think some laughter is a great turn on in porn. Mostly it seems to happen after the big event but it can be nice during the buildup as well. Makes it more human.

I see that I am a minority here: I don’t care at all about sound in porn. I guess it is because back in the era of VCRs and pre-airpods, I used to watch porn with the sound turned off to prevent being caught by parents or roommates. So, to me, porn was much like silent movies 🤫 I now watch it with sound, but I must admit that by the third or fourth “fuck, oh yeah, baby, yeah, fuck, go”, I get a bit annoyed.

I've had to do this several times when having sex in public spaces, or in a hookup's parents' house.  It is difficult because I'm very vocal during sex.  Usually I bury my head in a pillow, or bight down in my shirt to prevent from screaming with pain/joy.

My friend, we all had to do that. But that is not turning the sound off, but down. Yes, I used to fuck with my cousin when I was a teen, sometimes with his or my parents sleeping next door. We would whisper, we would be careful, but you cannot be silent during sex, it is just impossible. Even if you are able to eliminate every single sound coming from your mouths, there're still the sounds coming from our bodies clashing against each other.
