I DO unfortunately realize that the god awful deviled eggs are a must. Any other suggestions will definitely be considered and greatly appreciated.

Caviar goes well with deviled eggs……grin

Nycman I love caviar but would never WASTE (DEGRADE) it by putting it on deviled eggs which I loathe. However, if you come I just might buy a jar and put it on a few of the eggs for you.

If you're gonna put it on deviled eggs, use good ol' US caviar.

Paddlefish, White Sturgeon and Bowfin are all moderately priced in comparison to Russian Beluga and Osetra.

Promise me you won't dare bring a tin of anything that even remotely reads 'Petrossian'

😉

Well if you should grace us with your presence then I say we pull out the good stuff in your honor.  I hear you always pull out the good stuff yourself.

Canyon Club has reopened.  Just a heads-up for those of you who may want to stay that weekend!

Did they remodel or change owners?  I thought I read that they were closing. Regardless, great news!

I remember back in the 90’s and staying at Canyon Club. At the reception desk, there was a sign that offered a % off your hotel bill based on how many inches you measured. 🤣🤣. It’s pretty funny that they were able to get away with that!

I booked at CCBC. I hope I'm not terribly far away from the group's events.

five or six miles from downtown Palm Spgs, where the Sat dinner will be.......maybe a similar distance or slightly less to the Sun pool party

The city of Palm Springs has now legalized sex clubs! Do you think one could open in time for the Weekend?

From desertsun.com: The new rules legalize one kind of business that was previously banned: "adult sex venues," establishments where people are allowed to engage in sex in either public spaces or in private spaces that are rented for less than 24 hours. But their legalization came with a caveat: that operators of such businesses will need to proactively work with public health departments to manage potential issues with sexually-transmitted diseases and drug use at their facilities.

Alas, I must pass on the Palm Springs  weekend this year. I stayed at Canyon Club last year and found the place to be woefully rundown. Yes, I had stayed there before, but the missing mouldings, missing lights in the bathroom, missing floor transition (open gap)  between the bedroom and bath, as well as the depressing wall colors did not contribute to the pleasantness of my stay. I much prefer Indulge where I have stayed twice, but the current rates of almost $400 per night for the weekend involved are prohibitive. Also, age may be catching up to me, and air travel has become a major hassle.

My regards to all the great guys I have met on these weekends.

Best wishes,

Despardo
