That's been true in social settings, in work settings, and when hiring escorts and masseurs. Unfortunately, I've encountered providers who specifically took this line of work because they _don't_ like being on time. Bad career move. + KensingtonHomo
+ KensingtonHomo
I haven't had much of an issue with providers being late. Perhaps it's an NYC thing where time is always precious and we're all over booked. I've noticed when we hire in P Town, there's a tendency for the providers to be more lax with time but like 15-30 minutes, not more than that. I'm more forgiving in a vacation environment. + keroscenefire
Rod Hagen
Just tell the provider that someone else, friend/electritian/whoever, is scheduled to be at your apartment/house 30 minutes or so after you two are supposed to be finished, so "PLEASE show up on time. I'd hate for you to arrive, and then just have to turn around and leave because we won't have enough time to avoid the friend/electritian/whoever,. Thanks, very very very much looking forward to seeing you :-) " If your appointment is at night, it's more difficult. Maybe tell him you have an early flight? Some would hope that the friend/electrician/whoever might arrive while the action is still taking place and join in. I’m very anxious to turn up on time for my clients and definitely don’t want to mess up their schedule. However the prospect of a visitor showing up during the session is quite exciting! An audience or another willing participant is not a bad thing for me. Probably best to say your mother is visiting…that would focus minds 🙂 + Vegas_Millennial, Hlparx and + nycman 1
+ DrownedBoy
Thanks for all your suggestions. I started cracking down. If an escort agrees to a time, then at the last minute wants 2 hours later, I cancel. Guest leftbench23
Today I had a confirmed 2 hour appointment, and I show up at the provider's hotel at the appointment time. I text I'm in the lobby, and he replies back with a "Hey there... I'm in the gym, so give me another hour to shower and get ready." I texted him back "Enjoy your workout" and headed back home. If you have a confirmed appointment, why would you decide to go the gym? I worked around his schedule get the appointment, and then he pulled this stunt. jtwalker
A couple of weeks ago, I was prepped and on the way when a provider cancelled last minute and tried to change the time. Blocked him, turned around and went home. im sure their are exceptions, but 9 times of 10, this is a sign of a selfish provider, so it wouldn’t be a good encounter anyway. Despite the fact I'd hired this guy 6 times before, he just kept playing games and saying he "made a wrong turn" until I cut him off. Late is one thing; making the provider think you're coming when you're not is another. Well, everybody is different and you can be as strict or flexible as you want but there is a principle you are forgetting and is that you're the client. You have the money, you call the shots, there is no reason for you to delegate that power to the service provider. The way a service provider responds let you know if they are professionals or just hot guys that need money and put an ad in any of those websites. You don't want to deal with amateurs or if they are (for instance) porn actors who might be partying, because their sense of awareness and time is completely off, and at times, volatile. Now, if you allow a SP to be late once and then book again and arrive late again, from their point of view nothing wrong is going on therefor no need for him to stick to a schedule. Unfortunately, and I learned this the hard way, being overly nice and accommodating can be exploited by unscrupulous SPs and then the transaction is no longer an even exchange. MscleLovr
A date may prove expensive but it should certainly be very enjoyable. For it to start off badly is simply wrong. I never had the problem cited by @DrownedBoy but I’m a stickler for punctuality generally. So I admire the suggestion by @Rod Hagen to ask nicely for the companion to be on time…(using the white lie) because I have a visitor/tradesman coming over later. Now if only I could use a similar tactic with a very old friend who meets me for dinner in a restaurant and often arrives 1 hour late… DapperGent and Alex93108

FewBricksShy
I once had a guy that I paid to fly in to had trouble with his flight being late. He was four hours late for the overnight. One of the very first things he wanted when he got there was his payment. That in its own right isn’t atypical. But he didn’t suggest for any kind of discount because he was late getting there, even if it wasn’t his fault. Of course his flight out didn’t change times. He wasn’t a repeat hire. There are all sorts of other situations where someone who is providing a service takes a cut whenever they can’t provide the full service even whenever circumstances that are out of their control are what caused it. Jamie21
I was once an hour early for a client by mistake. Didn’t realise until I knocked on his hotel door. I was scheduled to arrive during a session he had with another escort, as part two of his session. I had to wait in the bar until they were ready for me. It was fine, my mistake and I had stuff to be getting on with. Ironic really because I thought I was going to be late and had been rushing to get there! So it was a genuine mistake although I bet my client and the other provider (who is actually a friend) did suspect I was trying to get in on their fun lol. + nycman
Last week on a business trip, I had back to back nights where the providers texted exactly at the time we were to meet, to inform me they were "running an hour or two" late. I politely informed them both that that didn’t work for me. Then I went to the bar, enjoyed champagne and oysters, and generously tipped the flirty bartender with the money they lost. Never let inconsiderate assholes get you down. + bashful, 56harrisond, + DrownedBoy and 3 others 3
