Overweight clients

Well first of all congrats on your weight loss, and second of all, why would someone reject you for that? I mean there’s a reason of why you can decide whether you show a pic of you on your profile or not, you know what I mean? But if that’s a concern to you, maybe you could try to address that on your introduction message, something like “hey @provider I saw your profile and I’m really interested in spending some time together, I’m celebrating I just lost some weight and even tho I still wanna lose some more I’d like to spoil myself with a hot guy like you, are you available anytime soon? What’s the donation?” And that way you’re already exposing your concern and the provider will react to that, hope it helps

This…

This is the way providers should react to clients. Open mindedness about different bodies is a huge step in the right direction for the LGBTQIA+ community. We are way too judgmental about bodies, especially large bodies. Time to move beyond sizism and support people in how they are most comfortable.

I find some sections of the LGB etc community to be judgmental about body shape and age. They don’t look beyond what they see and they miss meeting some lovely people.

I’m glad I get different body types and a full range of ages as clients on my table because it makes it interesting to  massage different bodies and to meet a variety of people. Everyone can enjoy a great massage. It makes me happy if someone says they were anxious about coming because of their size or age etc but having overcome that they felt comfortable, welcomed and enjoyed it. That makes my day 🙂

It's one of the first questions I ask a provider -- I'm this big, is that an issue?  No hard feelings if so.  I'd rather you be honest now and I don't feel weird because you were put off.

I only started doing this because I saw a provider that asked me, a couple times, about my size and if I was interested in changing it.  "Well, yes, but not right now -- I'm interested in this current massage."

Some providers will then you down when they find out your size. When I was at my largest (330 lbs and 6'4"). Turns out I dodged a bullet. His reviews since aren't very good.

Other providers have even advertised about being accepting of larger guys. Mike Gaite was one of these. Had to be one of my best hires. Professional and sensual. I wish he'd come back to Toronto.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I only lost 110 pounds but I know how hard it can be. Be proud of what you've accomplished. If a provider doesn't want to meet with you it's their loss.

I'm the same. I am also an LMT. I have had so many gay men apologizing for their weight or their age. It's come one, come all with me, too. Money spends the same. Personally, working on bodybuilders is interesting but it's more hard work digging into those dense muscle fibers. I work up a sweat like mad when a more muscled man is on my table. I know some therapists who will not work on bodybuilders for just that reason.

I've heard and read nothing but praise about Mike Gaite. Is his ass as spectacular as it looks in photos? This inquiring mind wants to know.

I used to be massively overweight (420 lbs.) and always told providers upfront. I had a couple masseurs say that their table couldn’t support me, and both offered to use a futon on the floor instead. I had one provider tell me that “I was too damn fat” for him to spend time with. All of the many others (NYC, Boston, London, Paris, Amsterdam, Chicago, LA) were gracious and accepting.

That situation easily turns into an escort appointment.  Don't ask me how I know that :-)

I’m  40 and since October 2021, I’ve lost 100 pounds, from 310 to 210. I started this little hobby when I was around 260. I picked an RM provider with a pretty empathetic ad that indicated he’d be good with my weight. He was great and I’ve seen him numerous times. He really built my confidence and probably helped with my general self-image.

I contacted a few more escorts after him. A solid number, let’s say a third or so, pretty much just dropped the conversation once I mentioned my weight. That was a blow to my confidence, especially when it was someone that really got me going. Now, at 210, I seem to get accepted by everyone I contact, though I stick to the few regulars I find real  compatibility with and the occasional out-of-towner.

so in short, yes, I’ve found weight matters in my experience.

That weight probably would be too heavy for most tables, especially the portable type because they tend to be narrow; you’d be uncomfortable on the table.

My in call table is electric and quite wide but I think that I’d also recommend doing the massage on a Futon in those circumstances. It’s important you’re comfortable. Futon massage is a different experience and yes I agree with @Rod Hagen the session can easily turn into an escort appointment.

I had a large client one time for a Futon massage which developed like that. The client wanted to top me, which was fine but the challenge he had was his size, in both perspectives; he wasn’t especially well endowed and his body size made it even more difficult. On a table it would have been totally impossible.

I think it's a given that if you are or are approaching the senior citizen age, and/or are really big, and/or have a facial deformity, it is very polite to tell the provider beforehand. You can't assume someone just because someone advertises, that he is open to everyone. I can't get hard for everyone nor can I fake it nor medicate myself to do it, so I'd rather offer up that opportunity to another provider.

My recommendation is to ask the providers that look super young 18 to 22 yo because they're newbies and haven't been jaded yet and they're so easily impressed by compliments and fast cash, that they will hardly turn anyone down. I even made a list of a few of my youngest competitors, which I refer people to, and I see it as good karma for myself.  :)

There is truth in what you say about compliments and fast cash, and yet if there's something exceptional about you that you imagine might be difficult for some providers to work through, I would recommend the opposite of what you recommend.

Look for providers who've been doing this awhile and have a reputation for pleasing heavy men, men who are 70 years old+, and men living with disabilities.  Most of those providers will be 35 years old or older, and of course if you can only enjoy being with young men, that will not work for you.

"Polite"? I never saw this scenario in Emily Post or Miss Manners. I refuse to apologize for being a certain age or body type. And yes, call it naive, but when an escort specifically states, "no age, ethnic or body discrimination" I think it's fair to trust he means that -- otherwise, why advertise it? We men are visual. I always state my escape clause that if either of us does not like the looks or presentation of the other, the door to exit the encounter is always open. No fee, of course, if the escort backs out; a nominal fee, if I do.

What is the issue with overweight people? Are they harder to work with or what? I would like a honest answer from the providers.

I think it’s that there’s a perception that some providers wouldn’t want clients who are overweight. I would say that that perception is over estimated.

Of course some providers will be very ‘choosy’ and my view is that those guys are doing the work basically as an extension of their sex life. I’d say that most professional providers will not be so choosy about their clients. The professionals are able to make any client feel good and desirable because they are doing the job not for their own sexual gratification but for the satisfaction of performing their skill and making clients happy.

Nothing makes me happier than a client leaving feeling great about themselves. I don’t care what they look like, I do care what their mindset is. The only physical things I need to l know about are injuries or health conditions.

Having said that I did see one client who was very overweight indeed. It was for a massage although he was too big for the table so we had to use a futon. It really wasn’t very comfortable for him. I think if it’s for a massage there is a limit on size given the table restrictions. I felt sorry for him because his size prevented him from doing some of the things he wanted to do with me.

Providers can't be choosy. Clients will never send their pictures.

Aren't most masseur sessions outcalls?

I beg to differ. Providers can be selective. Yet they probably also make peace with the potential loss of income by selecting only clients who are equally "hot" or meet some other criteria.

But can providers really choose clients? I highly doubt it. 99 out out of 100 potential ones will probably block anyone that dare to ask for a pic. I thought that was my impression and what an actual escort told me. Or there is something I don't know?
