RIP Guy Fawkes/daddy

Cooper

Recommended Posts

Whatever the future holds for this site, reading the thoughts and concerns of fellow members over recent weeks for Guy demonstrates the impact one person can have on many - known and unknown. If/when this forum closes, I wish you all the very best and am thankful I found "Daddy's" little corner of the world some years ago.

I’m so sorry to hear of this news. May Guy/Daddy RIP. I’m thankful for finding his website and meeting some many gentlemen with similar interests.

Terrible sad news indeed. Daddy‘s forum has been such an invaluable resource, entertaining sandbox and safe place for us all. May he rest in peace. Hope this forum can continue in some form without his leadership.

There is a big void in our lives now. Daddy gave us a forum to make friends and find safety and make the correct choices. My wish is that some very capable person(s) can keep the Forum online, going forward. R.I.P.

Though it was waning for several years, ATKOL Forums eventually disappeared shortly after its owner died.

He did good with this site, brought people together and made a community. Not all of it was his doing, of course, because HooBoy started this and so many of you have been constructive participants. Still, Daddy kept a light shining for all this time. Reading the message center and the reviews over the years we've had hints at Daddy's medical struggles. This is a drastic, sharp end. I mourn him. I also laud Cooper who did everything imaginable to both get Daddy medical attention and to keep us informed.

This is a loss.

Sincere condolences to those who knew him well, in particular @Cooper who has been so helpful this past month.

Our lives - and many people’s livelihoods - have been enriched as a result of Daddy’s efforts and accomplishments. Technology can build a platform for communication, but it takes a specific kind of soul to actually nurture a community.

RIP Guy Fawkes

While not unexpected, this is still really sad to hear. I thank Guy for keeping this site going. If not for his sites, I definitely would never have started hiring and lost out of some wonderful experiences. Plus, I would not have been able to converse with so many people on this board. I may not have met any of you in person, but I treasure our relationships.

RIP

I will always remember his commitment to keeping this site running. His passion for it provided a venue that reached beyond reviews of escorts and massage therapists, but also a forum for inclusion for those of us that hired (and perhaps those that advertised their services) to know there were more people like us. Guy's commitment to keeping the site running enabled many friendships to be created. RIP Guy.

May Daddy be remembered in death as he was in life, an engaging, intelligent, creative, and empathetic pioneer whose entrepreneurship improved the lives of so many. May our warm memories of him, and our mutual support of each other, soon eclipse our current grief and guide us through this sad and perplexing transition. Thanks to all who dedicated their time to contact the hospital, social worker, long time friends, et al, and especially to Cooper, for reiterating, 'no man is an island unto himself.' Be, Go, and Stay Well, Daddy!

I am saddened. I am one who also never met him but he, and his sites, have played a significant role in the later years of my life journey. I hope there is way for his life’s work to continue. It will hurt even more if all the vast information put together in the 10’s of thousands of conversation threads in this forum are lost.

He was very dedicated to these websites....and passionate about the greater subject they involved.....

his work here certainly helped many through their reservations and inhibitions.....and I'm sure many here are now better off only because of his actions....

a genius in many ways, if not in spelling and grammar :p

very protective of providers who deserved it and always had the big picture in mind......

time marches on......and it will catch up with all of us......but we'll always have his legacy and memories

The fact that so many of us cared about and followed his condition these last few weeks is a testament to the community he built via this site and Daddy's. My condolences to all, especially those of you who were more closely acquainted with him. May I add my name to those who appreciate Cooper's efforts on Guy's behalf and for updating the rest of us on his condition?
