Paragonya Sauna Zurich

Sauna Paragonya is alive and well!  I visited today and spent 100Francs each on 2 boys, and 100Francs on entrance fee (44Francs) and several drinks. 

The drinks alone are so much less than the market price of the nearby bars, that it makes sense to enjoy an afternoon getting buzzed while surrounded by hot young men in towels. 

While I was spoiled by the 50 Euro price in Barcelona's Sauna Thermas last week, the 100 Francs at Paragonya is still a bargain.  Alas, I only had enough money today to spend on 2 boys.  Tomorrow is payday, and I'll be back at Paragonya to hire 3 or 4 more.

It was a nice mix of Eastern Europe and South American men.  Mostly well defined twinks... Only 1 "hunk"... But not stick figures either. 

I enjoyed a South American for a massage and he was very versatile.

Afterwards, I was craving a rim job.  I asked the first man who approached me if he was willing to rim me.  He declined.  The second man I asked said yes, and then I enjoyed 30 minutes with a gorgeous black man who ate me like it was his last meal.  I'll be back tomorrow!

Sad news from Zurich. Paragonya is open, but no escorts are allowed admission. General manager fired (after 25 years!), I think the owner is 'cleaning it up' so he can sell it.

I flew my  G650 over to check my numbered bank accounts and gold Bullion, and was surprised to find this out.

Oh, no, that’s why they’ve been promoting so much lately. 

I just asked them in my rudimentary German and then in English. Of course a subtle. or maybe not that sublet. I said that I am going for the holidays, and that I hope to meet my favorites boys

just yesterday they were pushing it as a gay sauna on FB and a couple days ago offering discounts early. i think it's a $$ thing. but the only reason anyone goes there is the rentboys.

So what you will here now  is that 'everyone' is welcome, it is that there can be no solicitation. If a boy does solicit, he is to be turned into one of the staff, and he will be shown the door, and banned.

It is a bit of a game, not freewheeling like before.

The rentboys were the only reason that Paragonya sauna lasted so many years. 

With no more paid providers (hustlers), why would most customers bother to go to that sauna plus pay $37.00 just to enter the place? 

There are several regular non hustler-type gay saunas in Zurich.  Therefore, I predict that Paragonya, if it really prohibits paid providers,  will eventually fad away and go out of business like so many other hustler-type saunas that once were doing quite well. 

What a pity that such a nice sauna will soon be entered in the history books of something that was but is no more.

Since the hustlers were forbidden, the price to enter the sauna went up two Swiss francs.  It is now almost $44 to enter the sauna with ZERO rent boys that used to have a heavy supply of hustlers.

I gave a warning, and was even given  a eye roll...

Is it a joke about the sauna forbidding hustlers?  I plan a trip to Germany next month and Zurich is only a short drive to where I will be staying in Germany.  I hope to visit Paragonay while in Zurich.  

I ask this because you jokingly said in your post "I flew my  G650 over to check my numbered bank accounts and gold Bullion,"  Many people do not know that Swiss numbered bank accounts were disclosed to the U.S. Internal Revenue Service twenty years go and numbered bank accounts no longer have secrecy like they had before the laws were changed.  I view your comment as a joke.  However, I could be wrong.  I will call the sauna tomorrow and report back on any news.

I just got off the phone with one of the bartenders at Paragonya.   (+41 44 252 66 66)

The bartender assured me that the sauna rules about paid hustlers has not changed.  He further said that "everything is as it has been for more than twenty-five years.   The bartender said that he has worked there more than fifteen years and that the sauna has been an "escort" sauna for as long as he recalls.    

Maybe some bad rumor got floating around the sauna that caused the negative report.

i suspect the owner may just be covering his legal backside announcing rentboys are not allowed (wink,wink). 

his greater danger is that most escorts just work online now and travel to other cities than Zurich on a circuit. 

IDK how Thermas keeps it's stable in Barcelona.

I’ve been to both this month and both currently generally awful. In particular, if you have an anthropological interest in what a 50-dollar escort generally looks like in spite of possibly possessing a heart of gold, Thermas is your place. The static constancy of price is a problem, as well as the lack of a middle ground between platform ad-based guys and what’s on tap in a structured but progressively more limited venue. YMMV. 

It’s taken me several visits adding up to many weeks of Barcelona presence during 2024 to build up an alternative but modest outcall roster of repeat-worthy trade.

I get that the Czechs are circuiting Germany and Amsterdam now and not much Zurich, but i thought between Brazilians and Romanians Thermas would always have a steady supply of attractions. Even the entrance fee at Paragonia is high for them.

I cannot imagine what "legal backside" the owner is trying to protect. 

Prostitution has been legal in Switzerland since 1942.

I'm not familiar with Paragonya or the Swiss legal system at all, but perhaps it's an issue of licensing?  Particularly if providers are not from EU countries?  Just a guess...

Switzerland is not in the EU, but the same rules apply to EU and EFTA citizens, and do require permits in some circumstances.

Great news for Paragonya and Thermas is that as of today Romania and Bulgaria are full members of Schengen and unrestricted travel and work is allowed.
