See him another night? WTF? Are you assuming the OP is a masochist? And what do you mean, you keep a few options open? Do you schedule different people for the same time and accept the one you like best? The OP may have been able to schedule someone at the last minute, but doing that can be difficult, especially with a lot of escorts who aren't diligent about responding to texts. I remember 2 years ago an escort I'd scheduled an in-call for several days in advance while I was at a medical conference, and confirmed the day before, cancel on me at the last minute because he'd "overslept and forgotten about it." He asked me if I wanted to reschedule, and I said no way. Shit didn't happen. The OP got dumped because his escort thought he could make more money. This is not an auction. The OP & escort made an agreement on the price and time. The escort simply reneged after the fact.

(I will also comment that in a prior string, sometime back, a poster asked how long one should wait for an escort to answer a text. While some agreed with me, some disagreed when I said it's wisest to move on if there's been no response after 3 waking hours. How can one make a same-day appointment with such response times?)

I also use A4A and whenever I hit a foreign city I often get a handful of inquiries from various people. If my planned escort session falls through I will sometimes go for a random chance meet. Quite often they are just as satisfying….and don’t cost me anything.

Ive had a few occasions where the escort bailed at last minute for understandable reasons and I’ve met up a few days later but they are rare

  2. To respond to Jarrod’s original question….

Over the past 6+ years I’ve probably hired close to 50 Rentmen around the world. Most  of the experiences were no more or less exciting than what I might have experienced with a random hookup.

A good 20% or so were truly exemplary and worth the money. Most Rentmen that I’ve tried are just not that imaginative.

I've been to a number of pool parties in which wine's not on offer. Who prefers wine to an ice-cold mixed drink or a cold beer/hard seltzer on a hot day by the pool? I can also think of an evening party I went to in which no wine was offered (by a Kiwi couple), and we also went to a party of a friend who has a balcony overlooking the WeHo Pride Parade, and there was no wine at that party, either (just hard seltzers, hard liquor/mixers, and beer). We must travel in different circles. Most evening parties do offer wine, though.

Not sure where you live but here in the Northeast white wine is always served chilled….

  4. Publishing companies used a similar screw job to illustrators with “work for hire” contracts where an artists illustration would be reused in different ways without added compensation. Studio musicians probably face the same screwing when they perform on a recording and have no skin in the game when the album gets re-released.  No surprise that studios view AI in the same way

  5. A lot of hotels have corner rooms with unusual bathroom layouts. You should ask upon check in.

A few years ago I stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn down by Battery Park. I don’t recall any restrictions for a guest coming right up to the room
