Over the past 2 years the average cost of groceries is up 20%, gas 22%, new cars 19%, utilities 20%, rent 20%.  I've never really paid that much attention to prices, just swipe the debt card and go.  But I find myself pausing...going, huh?

I don't know where you live, but I live in NYC and that is not my experience. Yes, prices are up but not nearly that much.  Maybe I am just lucky? Highest price increase in my basket has been the cost of lube! It's outrageous! 🤭

Just read on Bloomberg News that the government does not include home insurances costs in the CPI numbers, and a lot of other things too.  Taking into account the rise in home insurance rates would have added, by itself, 0.8 % to 2023's inflation rate.

Test is not entirely accurate. CPI does include renters insurance and home insurance but excludes life insurance. An argument can be made that insurance cost is over represented since the cost of insurance is calculated by surveying insurance providers in each area (basically equal weighting of both high and low insurance rates from all providers) while in real life consumers tend to be skewed to providers with lower insurance cost.  🤓

Hoping he resurfaces.  Fucked him several times when he was in Chicago. Killer ass on that guy. He was born to bottom.

His Onlyfans is still active and he is responding to messages. Just saying.

The problem with many of these start-up banks is their size outpaces their leadership's ability to manage the bank. I'm sure their leaders had previously run small banks that sold out to a larger bank. Problem is, the bank grew to be a relatively large bank and leadership didn't grow along with it.

Some leaders have a track record of failure.

it requires more effort to keep it up.

CutlerX asked a forum poster $100 extra to wear a condom.

I guess that is possible. Have been a condom user for many (many!) years and as long as you stick to newer, thinner condoms in the right size, the sensation is almost exactly the same.  Went bare for about a year while in a mutually committed monogamous relationship and did not find the experience enhancing or better in any way.

Of course CutlerX can charge what he wants - but will be a hard sell on me. Just like a recent companion who wanted to charge extra for kissing. Sorry, not this customer.

(humiliating topic ... please be gentle)

I am very new to exploring my sexuality ... have been in the closet (and therefore celibate :( ) all my life. Lately I have started enjoying the replacement of intimacy by getting erotic massages.

I love when the masseur touches my hole ... but I do not have a smooth / "flat" / tight one ... it's kind of swollen and puffy. I am not sure if it is a hemorrhoid: it's not painful or itchy and does not bother me at all ... except I'm just wondering: is it off-putting to other guys and should I be embarrassed by it?

It may be best to seek medical advice. You may want to try daily application of Preparation H with Biodyne (the Canadian version available on Amazon) and see if it helps with the puffiness.

Every hole is different. None look the same, just like no two belly buttons look the same. It may be a confidence/body image thing. Something to consider.

It's a hearsay, this never happened to any of my friends who escort.

    Is that even possible?

There's an old thread about a specific Northern Virginia scammer pulling a similar fraud on providers, but because the scammed is a regular poster I would rather not bump it or place a link.

For most service providers of this type, the payer can file a dispute and request a refund, but they will investigate large amounts, request documentation like a sworn statement and if it happens with frequency they may close your account.

Most guys ask for a deposit

That is not the case in my experience.

I didn’t know that most guys ask for a deposit. He’s the only provider who has asked me for a deposit so far.

I don't think a deposit is something most guys ask for - not in my experience and not even when I narrow it down to Brazilian guys.

Does anyone else see the irony of questioning the morality of informing friends who are mutual clients of a provider about his criminal history, when everyone who has hired him is has engaged in an illegal (and immoral by most religious interpretations) act?

No. Being religious and being moral are two very different things. Neither are being lawful necessarily being moral. Don't overthink it.

Where can I get poppers in Massachusetts? Every smoke shop and weed store all the sudden does not sell them. Anyone know of anywhere?

Why not buy online? 4Solents.com for example.

  12. Currently in NYC. Anyone meet him? Discussed in a Boston thread elsewhere, indicating he doesn't like to make out (no kissing), which makes it hard for me since I like to hire for 2 hours minimum.

This story was on NPR this afternoon - sorry, I’m traveling and just barely was able to get the title. Perhaps some kind member can post the link.  Interesting story about gays (both men and women) and the frequency of having older brothers. The more older brothers you have, the higher the chance of the youngest male/female being gay. I have two older brothers, both straight.  My gay cousin has 3 older brothers. And several friends all fall in this category.

I have seen similar studies. The number of pregnancies (including those that are not carried to term) appear to be statistically impactful on the likelihood of producing a gay child.  So yes, the more older brothers you have, the more likely you are to be gay. It is a fascinating area of study and certainly there is more to be discovered.

  14. Fun guy - I remember him fondly and will see him again if he makes it out to NYC. Havent seen him in a few years.  Pics are from pre-Covid; be sure to ask for updates pics -  would be my only suggestion.  Definitely not 25 anymore - early 30s

I put off tax law until my last semester in law school because I was so sure that I would hate it. To my surprise, I loved it and wished I had started sooner so I could become a tax lawyer. I have done my own taxes ever since.

Now I use programs like Turbo Tax and Taxslayer. With the addition of a small side business, my taxes are harder. Last year I used Taxslayer and didn't seem to have any problem. This year I cannot figure out what they are doing It seems like I am going around in circles. They currently have me owing more than $2000 in federal taxes than I paid last year despite a similar income. I am just lost.

So I come here, where else? Does anyone recommend one of these programs and why? Anyone want to do my taxes for me? I guess I am too old now. Sigh.

I use Turbo Tax - never had a problem.  There are a few tricky things, like doing a backdoor Roth, which is not intuitive. It is more expensive than it used to be, but I am used to the interface and layout. I've recommended Turbo Tax to friends in the past.  I'd be happy to do your taxes, but I fear you can't afford my rates! 😋
