Okay, this may be a crazy idea, but here goes. I, too, have been the victim (once) of a similar violent encounter. And I also ignored some warning signs. Things didn’t escalate until the end, but it scared me shitless, and with lots of self defense training, I don’t usually freak out. But he had a weapon; I did not.  Anyhow, my idea would be for subscribers here to post any bad/violent/life threatening encounters and send directly to an administrator. The admin would simply lift the name and city of the provider and post in a forum marked “negative comments received” and leave it at that. So let’s say that I had a bad experience with Tom Cruise. I send in my review and Tom’s name goes on the list. In a month or two, Tom (who we hope is an avid reader of our forum) sees his name and says, WTF? Tom could contact admin, and admin would send a highly redacted copy of what was posted with absolutely no identifying information.  Tom could then review what was said about him and could post a rebuttal or not. And that would be the end of it. Here’s where it could get interesting- what if another client hires Tom and likewise has a bad experience - and also sends admin a review.  Tom’s name would then have 2 check marks, etc.  Worth a shot? And the list would be reserved only for truly encounters that were “holy shit, I gotta get out of here” type. Not the “he didn’t get me off” ones. Make sense? If we can do one thing to prevent a fellow aficionado from getting hurt, or worse, we need to step up.

This was the purpose of the review site.

I agree, but since the OP said he was in the escort's hotel room it's a pretty safe guess that the escort was travelling so he could already be onto the next city...or the next.

I took it the same way.  If I was concerned with safety, I would wait two days, open a thread on the companion (or add to an existing thread) and simply say: Met him recently, would not recommend.  @rustyrex is a long time member - enough said.

"allowed him"....  Unlike you, Bozo doesn't seek to shut down speech with which he disagrees.
As for "families he broke apart" and "lives he destroyed"...   lol. There is no need to give any credibility to hyperbolic lies and melodramatic blather.

I don't want to shut it down...I just want to call it what it is. Bbaaaaddd!

    Agree 1000%.

Despicable comments celebrating the death of someone with beliefs different than their own.
The hypocrisy of using such vile and odious comments towards someone they criticize for being ornery does not go unnoticed by fair minded people.

    haters gonna hate....

    BoZo

Funny how many of those "fair minded people" allowed him to cloak his hate in religious beliefs for so many years. The families he broke apart, the lives he destroyed...

I guess our definition of "fair" may differ quite a bit.

I was introduced to a young man who is about to turn 20. He is struggling with accepting who he is and comes from a non-accepting family so have not had any role models.  If you have any book recommendations for helping a bi guy find acceptance, growth, inner peace and perhaps a dash of wisdom, let me know. Not sure if there are any self help type books aimed at bi men, figured you may have some insight. Thanks!

    Two come to mind:

    1) The best little boy in the world by Andrew Tobias is probably the most recommended book I have seen.

    2) Straight Jacket by Matthew Todd.

These books are mainly aimed at gay men, but it should give you a start.

Did you forget the paycheque? I have occasionally lost my head and hovering ensued. Then slapped my own forehead and compensation issued to move on.

Nope - account was settled. I didn't want to create the impression that there was more to be had.

  7. Had a very interesting experience Friday evening. Had a...gentleman caller, shall we say, stop by to see me.  Full marks all the way through. On time, looked exactly like his pics, hot and a real hand full. But he just wouldn't leave! Dropped hints, asked about his plans for the evening. Offered him a ride. Dude just wanted to hang out. At one point I thought he was just gonna spend the night. 🤭

Has something similar ever happened to one of you? How did you handle it? 🤔

    Anyone here own preferred stock?

Suze orman's show yesterday was on it and I'm trying to buy stocks that pay a decent dividend right now since I don't see the stock market having any gains for at least a couple years.

She recommended a Bank of American prreferred stock that she thinks will be paying 10 percent pretty soon

I hardly ever recommend buying individual stocks - even preferred stocks.  I suspect you are talking about BAC.PRL (L series).

Would recommend you consider a fund that holds preferred securities instead, like the iShares Preferred ETF or PFF. That is what I would do - sorry Suze!

I still smoke old fashioned cigarettes.  How on Earth can you drink a cup of coffee, or have a beer or do a #2 without a cigarette??  E cig usage is soaring.  The tobacco companies aren't going anywhere.

Easy - I do it every day. Frankly, the idea of polluting the aroma of freshly made coffee with the smell of cigarette smoke appeals to me about as much as a visit to the DMV.

    Hey everyone -

Wanted to get thoughts on what constitutes a good tip here in NYC. Recently went and had a fantastic massage from someone I found to be very attractive. There were def extras - beyond the mundane but just short of everything. The massage itself was $70 for the hour. I tipped $60 on top. Is that a good tip for that kind of attention? Never know these days but def wanna go back and do the right thing!

That is a reasonable tip for what you described. I usually tip the same as the cost of the massage if I left happy and didn't get short changed on time.

Pornstar Performer & Rentboy in New York City, NY - JeremyNYC: Fun, handsome, discreet and hung...

I approached him two years ago when he started advertising on Mintboys.  He was new to this and had...very high expectations, shall we say.  He was using the exact same pics back then.  I wouldn't mind approaching him again - he seemed like a nice guy.

In my humble opinion $400 is too much. Heck even $300 is too much tbh. $250 should be the cap. I haven't hired in the US for almost 2 years now. I take trips to Barcelona or Brazil  etc. (I understand that the cost is more in total) but I get more bang for my buck.

I am no stingy person. But the reason I do not agree with these prices is because we talking about RM here. I can only speak from my experience, majority are not outclass, excellent providers. We are talking 400/HOUR here. You can only do the deed and leave. There is no "experience" so to speak.

Now I understand someone who is pornstar material or is one can probably charge that but not just anybody.

I really like someone here mentioned that high cost does not equate with high equality in this industry. This is so true!!

It is slowly become rare to find a provider that is excellent quality, some want money upfront, cut the time short, do not follow what agreed upon etc. etc.

In the eternal words of that great philosopher, Austin Powers: Yay Capitalism!

In my experience - a great experience can be had and is worth paying for.

I was going to meet up with him and he seemed professional enough. I got really sick (fever, etc) the night before and let him know that I was canceling so as not to get him sick, and offered $100 ($30 less than his rate) for the cancellation. He just replied “Ok. When are you going to send it?” No “hope you get better”, “thanks for letting me know”, or whatever, or even confirmation he got it. Struck me as sort of transactional.

In my opinion you are expecting too much from somebody you have never met. I applaud you for giving him a heads-up and sending a cancellation fee. Have done so myself in the past when my plans changed.  It is likely he will be more personable once he actually meets you.

I do hope you are feeling better or at least, well on your way to recovery. 🙂

Keep the S. Florida gourmet tartes and the Costco almost limeish sort of pies. Every good southerner knows:
