Funny.  Jacob is such a veteran tv maker, and not a filmmaker, something like that wouldn't bother him at all.  Good Scene, Leave it in, move on :-)

With all the times I've re-watched the show and all the reaction videos I've watched, I've never been able to figure out the answer to one mystery from episode six…
After Shane's father drives off and Shane starts to melt down Ilya is standing there trying to calm him down and behind Ilya is a bench and during the scene the towel that Ilya had brought up from the water slides off the bench and onto the floor and there is nothing in the scene that would indicate why that happens.
Maybe it will be addressed in season two.

FOUR MOONS explores being gay at four different ages in Mexico City.  A young boy exposed to the world after making a move on his first crush, two teens who meet again in high school after being best friends when they were eight, a man who is unhappy in his ten year relationship, and a sick old man hiding his desires from his wife and daughters all go through stuff in this fairly engrossing flick.  It ain't a masterpiece but it was worth watching all the way through, even on the night we spring forward and lose an hour of sleep.

I just watched an interview with Erin Murphy, who played Tabitha on bewitched. She gave some interesting background info on an episode that I watched a few years ago, which made me think "that was a little unusual for such a lightweight show."
After watching the video, I checked with Wikipedia and found out the episode aired on Christmas Eve and before it started, Elizabeth Montgomery welcomed the television audience to the bewitched Christmas episode.
In it, Samantha and Darren are friends with a black couple who have a daughter Tabitha's age and they are going out of town and the daughter is going to sleep over.  Tabitha is delighted that she will have a "new sister" to play with. I don't remember the specifics, but somehow they get the message that they can't be sisters because they are not the same color.
So Tabitha does her nose twitch thing, and first turns the girl white then she turns both of them brown then she makes them both their regular color, but the girl has pink polkadots all over her and Tabitha has brown polkadots all over her. The black couple comes back to get their daughter during Samantha and Darren's Christmas party and they wind up staying and Darren's uncool client thinks Darren is in an interracial marriage and doesn't want to work with him because he thinks Darren is unstable.
In the end, of course it all works out, and Samantha gives the girls a simple and age appropriate speech about sisterhood and brotherhood.
Erin said they were all a bit worried about what the reception would be because if you think about it, Tabitha was in black face part of the time but no one at all objected because they saw the intent of the episode and in fact it won a special Emmy award.
But here is the really cool thing… The episode came about because a very creative 10th grade teacher at a nearby high school wanted to inspire her class so she said to them why don't you write an episode of bewitched.  They did and then submitted it and Elizabeth Montgomery and her husband loved it. Even better… The teacher and all the students were on the set all week from the initial table read to time in the writers room updating the script after the initial table read to the actual filming and before the episode was shot all the female students had their hair done. Pretty cool, huh?
Erin said this was Elizabeth Montgomery's favorite episode and she said for her it was definitely the most memorable shooting experience.
And I know Darren is misspelled throughout this fascinating story but I dictated it and Siri is an idiot!

Hunterfly Road Houses Completes Restoration In Crown Heights, Brooklyn
Photograph from groundbreaking ceremony for Hunterfly Road Houses, via NYC. Restoration work is complete on Hunterfly Road Houses at the Weeksville Heritage Center in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The $4 million city-funded project was led by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York City Department of Design and Construction, and began in the fall of 2024. The 19th-century wood-frame houses are the last remaining structures of Weeksville, one of the nation’s largest free Black communities before the Civil War.
The 18-month project focused on restoring the exterior of the four homes, including façades, siding, windows, doors, and front-entry porches. Additional upgrades included new plumbing, exterior lighting, a modernized fire alarm system with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and a CCTV monitoring system. A climate-controlled storage room was also installed in the cellar of one of the houses to better preserve historical artifacts. Funding was provided by the Mayor’s Office, the Brooklyn Borough President, and the New York City Council.

Weeksville was founded in 1848 by James Weeks, a formerly enslaved man who purchased land in what is now Crown Heights and Bedford-Stuyvesant. By the 1850s, the community had grown to more than 500 residents and served as a refuge for Black New Yorkers, including during the 1863 Draft Riots in Manhattan. The houses were rediscovered in 1968 after nearly being lost to urban renewal, designated a New York City Landmark in 1970, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. Today, the center operates as Brooklyn’s largest African American cultural institution, hosting exhibitions, educational programming, and community events.
Transit nearby the Hunterfly Road Houses includes the Kingston–Utica Avenues station, served by the 3 and 4 trains, and the Utica Avenue station, served by the A and C trains.

A number of years ago I went for a dental cleaning right before one of the holidays.  Much of the staff must have been off already because when the hygienist came in she said "Hi, I'm Dr. @@@'s mother."  He had called her out of retirement to fill in.
While she was looking over my chart she said "You've had a lot of work done."
I replied "Yes, I'm putting your grandchildren through college."

I just met him. I should have read this forum first, but he was nearby and available. First, after arranging time and fee, then he wanted a deposit, which I don't do. So then he asked to call my hotel room instead. Charged me a premium fee for an outcall as compared to some other outstanding LA escorts I have hired. His pics are outdated. Still muscular, but beefy and not shredded. His cock size is exaggerated in his profile (like many). He was nice enough in the beginning and offered to start with a massage. It was pretty lackluster and short. He shot his load in a half hour and then left. It was overall disappointing and certainly not worth a premium fee.

Mariska Hargitay is opening up about a family secret she’s kept for more than 30 years.
At the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, May 13, the Law & Order: SVU actress, 61, revealed with the premiere of her documentary My Mom Jayne that her biological father is not Mickey Hargitay, the man who raised her and was castrated in an early episode of SVU, but rather a former Las Vegas entertainer named Nelson Sardelli.
As Mariska explains in the documentary — which marks her feature film directorial debut — she first learned of Sardelli when she was 25. She confronted Hargitay, the only father she’d ever known, with the news, and after he insisted he was her father, the two never spoke of it again.
But it left Mariska with many questions, wondering if she was Hungarian like her father and her brothers, Zoltan and Mickey Jr., or if she was really Italian like Sardelli.
The actress opened up further about the revelation about her father in an interview with Vanity Fair. She told the outlet that she went to see Sardelli perform in Atlantic City, N.J., when she was 30 years old, and described his emotional reaction when she introduced herself.
Moved to tears, he said, “I’ve been waiting 30 years for this moment.”
But Mariska said she found herself giving him a tough time and going “full Olivia Benson on him,” referring to her SVU character.
“I was like, ‘I don’t want anything, I don’t need anything from you.… I have a dad, ‘ ” she recalled telling him, explaining, “There was something about loyalty. I wanted to be loyal to Mickey.”
She told Vanity Fair that after the momentous meeting with Sardelli, she grappled with “knowing I’m living a lie my entire life.”
Sardelli, who is still alive and now in his late eighties, participates in the documentary, as do his other two daughters — Mariska’s half sisters.
In the film, Mariska explains that, at 61 years old, keeping this a secret was no longer necessary.
Mariska also has an older sister, Jayne Marie Mansfield, from her mother’s first marriage, as well as a younger brother, Tony Cimber, from her mother’s third marriage, both of whom are also featured in My Mom Jayne.
The actress told Vanity Fair that once she eventually built a bond with Sardelli and his daughters, she better understood that her mother returned to Mickey because she knew he would love and provide a stable home life for Mariska.
“I grew up where I was supposed to, and I do know that everyone made the best choice for me,” she said. “I’m Mickey Hargitay’s daughter — that is not a lie.”
“This documentary is kind of a love letter to him, because there’s no one that I was closer to on this planet,” she noted.
Mariska told Vanity Fair that she and her Sardelli sisters gathered together for a private screening of the documentary in Las Vegas, and recalled how they were overcome with emotion.
“They just wept and wept and wept,” she said. “These two women that I love so much — I made them secrets! It’s so heartbreaking to me.”
For Mariska, sharing her story with the world in the documentary was a way to “unburden all of us.”
Following the film’s premiere screening at Cannes on Saturday, the audience gave a five-minute standing ovation. Mariska was joined at the event by her husband, Peter Hermann, and three kids.

Young Sheldon's mom is Meredith Grey's dad's daughter.
Meredith Grey's mom is Richard Burton's daughter.
Ergo... Meredith is the some degree of Kevin Bacon between Liz and Shel.
