It's not always what you see on the board, but the information being exchanged in private.

Too many comments on this board from clients who have so little regard for providers and their problems. life is complicated. have had my share of issues with providers. including providers too drugged out to perform. even passed out. BUT have heard it a thousand times from guys i hire about how much they appreciate my stability given the litany of alcoholic,  drugged, closeted guys, stinking, rancid in their body hygiene clients who walk through the door. Providers have a really tough job. Just shocking what i have heard about how clients present themselves. But then expect easy going absolute perfection from the provider at any cost.
So, please give providers who have a problem a break. Especially a substance problem. Be kind. Rise above your sexual needs at the moment and reach out and be compassionate. Kind. Call 911 is the situation warrants it. No excuse for not being a decent human being. Period. Please.

This is the core of the problem. In most of the US, making an appointment with a new guy is risky for both parties.
If I say what I want, I'm committing a crime. If he says what he'll do, he's committing a crime. If he says what it costs, he's committing a crime. Then there's the service itself...
If he does what I hired him to do, he's committing a crime.  If I pay for his work, we're both committing a crime.  And afterward, if I disclose the details, I could endanger his business and his freedom.

A vaguely worded ad allows for flexibility.  The masseur gets to decide what THEY wish to do beyond a great massage.

Shawn Monroe reacted to + DynamicUno in Provider has 3 reviews on RM, but no reviews elsewhere. Will you hire?
The fact that the provider is overseas in Asia puts a much different spin on this question.  If you were asking in general, assuming the provider was local to me or at least in the same country, I might be inclined to give a provider with a small number of reviews a try.  I've done it before with no issues.
Are you in the region where this provider is based, or travelling there?  Given that RM less used overseas, I wouldn't be surprised by the lack of reviews.  He may advertise in other local resources, but I think reviews are more of a "US/Euro" thing and relatively unique to RM and CoM.
If I were in the region or planning to travel there relatively soon, and his profile indicated he is accustomed to dealing with entertaining vistors, I might be inclined to contact him to see if a meeting could be arranged.  That would depend on the country since the local circumstances (safety, legality, etc) vary greatly.
I wouldn't consider hiring someone to travel to me from overseas, due to the risks involved with immigration.

Yeah it really isn’t hard on both sides. To add to what everyone has said, COMMUNICATE WHAT YOURE LOOKING FOR AND DONT LIE. (Coming off that thread last week).

    ^Thank you for this.
Given this was for massage so a bit more straightforward than escort inquiries, but still was pleasantly surprised to have this brief, direct text exchange:

a first contact from client to provider should include a brief greeting, where you saw the ad, a request for hourly rate & if they do incall and/or outcall and the city they are located.  I then give them an idea of when I’m looking to hire and if not same day, I make that clear.  I’ll let them know what I’m looking to get from the session without getting graphic or sexting.  I’ll close with giving them my first name.  If they have an online presence and I’ve seen it, I’ll let them know.
I find it usually requires only 2 texts from me max to get all the information I need to decide if I want to schedule.  Anything after that is just working out a time/place.
For providers that don’t respond within 2-3 hours, I probably wouldn’t hire bc they don’t seem customer focused in my view.  I also measure the tone & how how the provider responds - I’m looking for a professional that knows how to communicate & understands they are running a client service business.  one-word answers/evasive answers/ignoring relevant questions or pressure is an automatic no
I approach the men as busy professionals and I like to be treated as a valued client.  I’m also aware that most of the guys get inundated with inquiries that will never happen and many from people who just get off making contact.  My contact has to stand apart & show that I’m serious. Works every time.
I don’t tend to hire or contact traveling providers because my experience has been it’s way too complicated. And I don’t want to be client #5 that day.

Well thanks very much for your kind remarks.   Certainly wise as well.    As a provider,  mutual respect is essential.    Respect by a provider is shown in numerous ways and it starts before the provider ever meets a client.    When the respect is mutual,  the end result is successful time spent by both parties (literally).

Just want to say everyone should respect respect and privacy. As a consumer I respect providers. I couldn't do their job. There are a few who are exemplary in their service to us consumers. And a lot who do a really great job providing physical, intellectual.,social, emotional, etc satisfaction with ease and a smile and hug. Feeling Thankful!!!

Shawn Monroe reacted to Jarrod_Uncut in Migrant Men-What's your experience?
I don’t necessarily have similar direct experience with migrant providers, however I know there’s some other “literature” out there that references similar topic:

So, with that said: we don’t always know the full background for each individual person’s situation. I know the language barrier could be easier for someone fluent in Spanish, but I have heard from a (White) client personally who mentioned to me about someone he met communicating in how you describe, and that he didn’t expect it. So for some that might be an issue.

The risks may be different in Denver versus a place like say Oklahoma, Texas, or Las Vegas.

I know for me personally escort or not an escort: I’d be concerned about safety and privacy when visiting someone where there’s multiple guys doing sex work in one place. I don’t even like to do that outside of sex work just because the potential drugs and/or drama that could invite. One might have a client coming, another have a client going. And all the activity might set off 🤨 depending upon the layout of wherever you going. Maybe hosting would be advantageous.
I did have a great time with a guy in Chicago who was mixed with Guatemalan American and had the same (real) first name as me.

Everyone can see who they wish to see, however with so much going on at the border and uncertainty with it all: It’s important to be a bit discerning versus looking thru the horny goggles 🥽 so to speak lol.

I usually start in underwear or a jock or sometimes at the client’s request I’ll wear speedos. Part way through the massage I’ll be naked, unless they want me naked from the start. Some clients like to do a lot of touching and as @Shawn Monroe said earlier they like to get me off.

Shawn Monroe reacted to Jarrod_Uncut in The donation rate that can create confusion.
Sometimes I feel we can never please everybody. Half are leery because of a rate too low, others pass up because the rate is too high.
Why do people make our lives rocket science? A price is a price. It’s no need to be gaslit or cross examined over it every time.

The only way I’ve found to fix this, long time ago: Is have more than 1 rate. And then have a menu that outlines clearly what it is. One price doesn’t fit all. I respect some clients want a $150 session, others want a $400 session. I can’t attempt to appease both by charging the same thing hoping it’s what they want to hear.
On the flip side, having 1 rates exclusively will cut all the bullshit and make it very non negotiable, which I could see the appeal of that too.

Shawn Monroe reacted to Jamie21 in The donation rate that can create confusion.
This is it exactly as @Jarrod_Uncutsays. The price is the price, it relates to the value the guy puts on his time and service. If you think that matches your budget and expectations of value then hire him. If you don’t think it’s value then don’t hire him (and don’t try to negotiate down…that’s no way to initiate a great meeting). Of course if the services included are vague then ask directly what’s the deal.
Unfortunately I realise in some backward places (yes, you USA) these things can’t be discussed openly but in normal countries grown up people can have conversations about sexual services…. so ask him about it!
