Just what the others said - supply and demand at work. As the economy gets harder more people need extra money and get ads.
This market works like any others. I had a former regular complain how Venezuelan refugees were undercutting him. When he raised his rates, I switched to said Venezuelans and found a eager, humble, and lower priced group.
Markets don't care about what you think you're worth, or even what you need. My salary hasn't kept up with inflation, because the firm knows it's a low hire low fire market. That needs to get passed down to my discretionary spending.

We haven't had this happen directly. However, when we were in Puerto Vallarta in May, we met many escorts who used to travel to the US regularly and no longer do. The majority of them said they feared being detained by ICE.
This not just an escort issue. I work regularly with extremely successful doctors, scientists, and policy people who are either naturalized or were born here to immigrant parents. They're all minimizing travel outside the country if they live here or visiting if they do not. ICE and CPB have created such a sense of fear that they do not want to risk it. This is terrible for our country, as entire industries are moving their conferences and meetings away from us. Students aren't applying to learn here. And for what?

I've known one escort who travelers within the States regularly that as of last time i asked him about it hadn't had any issues. I've also heard multiple anecdotes of some non-sex workers who on paper should have had no issues, but did.
As others said. From my understanding, on paper, ICE is mostly at the big airports and the main thing they're looking for are foreign nationals on expired visas (whether flying domestically or coming/going internationally). TSA is sharing passenger info with ICE. So that's how they then know who to target. On paper, theoretically, escorts traveling within and maybe even coming in from outside the country should be ok long as all their papers/visas/permits are correct and current (i can't speak to the facial recognition and possible escort database flagging aspect of this that BaronArtz smartly brought up but i think is a valid concern too). But that said...
I'd also definitely still feel nervous and would think hard about traveling to the U.S. now if i were in those shoes. Other than just having hosted the World Cup, we've seen huge multi-billion dollars worth of tourism decline across the board here. Specifically tied to how ICE has made a pattern of being heavy handed and casting an overly wide net in regards to all this, since they're currently trying to meet quotas first and foremost. Which has resulted in some notable instances of even people who do have their papers in order, being hassled or held, among other things, by ICE. Which has rightfully got locals and foreign travelers alike, spooked.

I had plans for a nice weekend for my birthday.  The escort contacted me today, three weeks before, to say that he was cancelling because of the increase of ICE surveillance at airports in the US.  He is foreign born but has work papers but he is so anxious about the possibility of being held by ICE that he has curtailed all US travel by plane until things appear somewhat safer.
In his position, I would probably do the same.
Without discussion not allowed on this site, a simple yes or no, has anyone else run into the obstacle for travel within the States.  It certainly has been the case for escorts trying to enter the country from outside.

I'd perceive 1 of these 2 changes alone as an insult to your loyalty.  After all, your at-least-twice-a-month visits for 2 years have generated a substantial and steady income stream for him.  And now he's hitting you with a double whammy?  And says NO to your attempt at negotiations?  There's no quicker way to burn a bridge.  I guess he probably has too much business and doesn't mind losing yours.

I need a taller partner so they can be properly dominant during BDSM play.
However, I'm so short that it's hard to find an escort that's shorter.
I've noticed, in my personal life, I tend to attract short dominants (but taller than me) who like feeling/appearing taller by standing by me. I've seen that pattern in heteros too.

No, clients don't need to understand how RM advertising works.  Thats not their expertise and its unreasonable to expect that.
All professionals, whether they are plumbers, lawyers, bankers or anything else, have to do business development.  It sucks that BD is unpaid, because sometimes it can be more time consuming than actual engagements, and not every BD effort will turn into a paid engagement, but that is true across the board.
I don't know nor care how plumbers advertise, so I should not need to know nor care how you advertise.

Dont believe what you see on social media.  Most escorts barely get by - there is a reason why 90% of them have roommates.  They may get 20 inquiries but will be lucky to get 1 booking a day. They frequently go through dry spells.  They dont make the money you seem to think they do.  Onlyfans only pay off if you are in the top 1% which is hard to do in a saturated market.

A high-ranking non-profit arts administrator once shared with me a bit of box-office wisdom she'd been given by a major Broadway producer:
"If they really want to not see the show you're presenting, you can't stop them."

I'm so glad that I live in a market where hundreds of professionals work in their home city, so that the annoyance of trying to catch some fragile moonbeam as it passes through is never part of the process for me.

While I don't think the posts you copied deserve a response, I think you sound jaded. If someone asks you a specific question in RM, they have a reasonable expectation that you will read it and respond appropriately. You seem to think l should have to pay for the privilege of booking an appointment with you.
That might have something to do with why you aren't getting bookings.
You don't need to "keep track of a third party messenger app" because you can set RM to email you when you get a message. It would be nice if they would text you instead, but checking your email periodically is not too much to ask for a business.
Before I pay any sort of provider, whether it be an accountant, a lawyer, or an electrician,  it seems normal that we would have a discussion about if they handle the kind of service I need.
If I called the number on the ad, and rather than answer the phone or ask me to leave a number, they sent me to yet another website or asked me to call another number, I would move on to the next provider. I would think it was unprofessional or a scam.

I scanned the San Francisco listings and there is not any resemblance to the listings I recognize from Rentmen. There’s a certain sameness to the photos that makes me think they’re AI generated. Biggest tell is that none - not a single one - has tattoos. I mean come on, in San Francisco?

This ad is a total fake:
Sboyyy gay male escort in Chicago, Illinois, USA, rentmen Sboyyy boy escort

I have been with Sboyyy and this is definitely not him. They lifted information from his Rentmen ad and created this one.

I guess there is a shortage of good clients AND serious providers. Sounds like we're both frustrated with the state of things. If you are in business and have an ad out there,  a prompt reply, even if declining is the bare minimum you can do.
On your second complaint I will say this: I never ask for private pics. (And it pisses me off on providers' behalf that people collect these or jerk off to your text conversations) And the only pic ever I ask for is a face if one hasn't been provided. But I state what and when I'm looking for in my first message and ask that the provider look at my profile to see if they think we are a good fit. If I get an autoresponse asking me to do other things, I generally move on and give them a chance to respond personally. I'm fine moving to offline correspondence after a few messages, but I'm not jumping through hoops to contact someone when I've already done so through the platform they are advertising on.

I've had some providers who grandfathered me in, and others didn't.
The main reason was because I don't ask for them to cum.

+ DrownedBoy got a reaction from Jacob_b in Sequential or shotgun approach when contacting providers?
If a provider is marked Available Now, and they don't respond within 15 minutes, I text my next choice. Sequential, yes, but the prize goes to the most professional. If you're available, you need to respond. I say clearly that I'm looking to hire that night, so I'm being transparent. And if someone texts back too late, I honestly tell them that they didn't respond and I've already hired the guy that did.
Luckily, a pool of regulars allows me to avoid that. However, the guys who get in that pool already proved themselves by being professional.
