  1. I've seen providers who try to disparage other escorts. And God knows how many have complained about refugees undercutting them in the market.
  2. Another question for providers, then. Does the pay change if you're being hired by a couple? That is, 2 guys who might tag team you?
  3. That's why I also make the 2 hour offers. When I've asked providers for their "1 and 2 hour rates," with a couple exceptions, they only give me the hour rate. That's why I switched to making a 2 hour offers, since many new providers haven't priced it yet. Likewise, it allows you to weed out the "hourly" guys, like the 11k guy you mentioned 🙄
  4. It means he thought you made that up to get out of the appointment. Very common among providers.
  5. He was playing with you. Or got cold feet. Or changed his mind Who cares. Flag him on the Deli or Spa as a flake.
  6. Yeah that's the reaction I got once. A regular was like, "don't compare me with other providers!" I didn't come out and tell him that I compare him to others whenever I hire, but I did say a few things so he'd stop with that attitude. He's competing with other escorts whether he wants to admit it or not, and he has lots of competition. A fact many providers forget.
  7. "Reformed twink?"
  8. I understand the addiction to hiring. When you hire, you are completely in charge of who you will see, when, and what he'll do. Sex is about power, and you don't have that much power over an SO. Boyfriends and providers are an entirely different experience, at least to me . Also, I should mention that I dream of retiring to a country house with at least 4 cute young muscular obedient servants. That's not addiction; it's being a gay man.
  9. Yes, but people with money have more weight to their opinion. Something that provider should have taken into account.
  10. I've made offers years in the past, but only "standard" offers, not low-ball ones. But very rarely. I do make offers if someone gives me an hourly rate. I offer them more (but not double) for a 2 hour visit. Providers tend to welcome these offers
  11. When I call a a man "boy," it reflects the fact I don't believe they're mature enough to be a man. If I say I want to "play" with someone, I mean emotionally meaningless NSA sexual activities, as opposed to an actual connection or relationship. Please note that I've called 70 year old men "boys!"
  12. I've also seen an uptick in providers who don't take this side gig seriously and don't work with schedules. Once, I met a guy on FB and he agreed to come by at 7 one night. Then, he suddenly texts me right before and said he was hanging with his friends. I thumbs-upped him, and immediately removed him from my list. Then he texted me back offering to see me when he was done watching TV with his friends, and I turned him down, told him why, and blocked him. I have no use for someone who cancels/delays a scheduled appointment for something like that.
  13. Give it up - he's a scammer or likes playing with people.
  14. Several times in the past, my bank app's Zelle sent me an SNS as MFA before it would let the transfer go through. They must have pulled that. It would stay pending then, if they didn't enter the MFA code.
  15. Try again. Trump, Gates, Musk, Zuckerberg, etc. all came from wealthy families that were at least upper middle class. Upper middle class means you're in the top 10%.
  16. Yup. That's why I rarely if ever hire twinks nowadays. I'd bet twinks make better house boys, but that's only because you're in a position to properly discipline them. Great for retirees
  17. Nah. The meth guy just ran away with the money 😁
  18. That's it. Both sides need to follow the local market. You can pay as low as 100/150 an hour and make both sides happy. In my experience, that limits your choices to: - white trash in middle-of-nowhere rural areas - escorts in economically depressed urban areas with little means of transportation - older and less attractive escorts - refugees who can't speak English If you're willing to settle for that, have at it. But don't expect much better.
  19. Whoever is charging that is looking for idiots stupid enough to pay it. If they do, they deserve to get ripped off.
  20. Never trust anything a provider writes in the ad. One guy spelled out that he enjoyed kissing. He refused to kiss in the session. One of the best interviews on a RM ad was by a homophobic drug addict who would grab the money and run.
  21. Bad luck to such providers. That's business.
  22. Also - if a provider marks themselves as "Available Now," and they don't get back to you in a few minutes, feel free to move on if you're in a hurry. If they don't respond to texts during that time, you're fully within your rights to contact someone else. They told you they were available, but they really weren't.
  23. Text providers who are marked "Available Now" on RentMen. When you send the initial text, wait 15 minutes, then text another guy marked available. When an escort is marked "Available Now" and they miss a text, it's on them. Just start sending the texts out as early as possible, and I'm sure you'll find someone.
  24. A small note - people here should realize that not only gay men have finding "companionship" lately. It's a societal thing. So watch out for people who might take advantage of this situation. https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2023/05/03/new-surgeon-general-advisory-raises-alarm-about-devastating-impact-epidemic-loneliness-isolation-united-states.html
  25. Yes. There are many guys who would love to provide companionship alone, and for a much fairer price. Or even people who would graciously accept a meal and make conversation. But like the others said, you won't find them on RentMen. I recall a college guy in Chicago who bought an ad on RentMen and offered those services alone. His ad was gone after a month.
