Once met a visiting provider in nyc who surprisingly was hosting at an apartment. he had an air Mattress in a tiny living room ( carved out of a studio) and his host was a provider I randomly turned down earlier  (without knowing their connection) … because he said “my friend and his bf are visiting and may be here” and also tried to upsell a double / triple deal.

A few times now I have texted to set up an outcall and given my location at a central downtown hotel. The provider gives me their outcall rate and I say okay. Then they come back and want me to also arrange an Uber to and from. If you know where you are coming, then why not just give me your rate to reflect that and arrange your own? Don’t make it more complicated than it needs to be.

Never tell them you’re paying in cash. They will negotiate a better price if they think they will get you to use their financing  since they get a kickback on the loan. Just make sure the loan has no prepayment penalty.

I clerked with the ICJ after a year at the Hague Academy and I'll assure you genocide is  seen as the world's worst evil. It was in 1944 Germany and it is in 2024 Israel/Palestine.
