This may be a new popular scam. I experienced a similar situation. The provider asked for a deposit before providing the room number when I was in the hotel lobby. I promptly left.

If your life is such that you can’t be seen out with a hooker….. don’t go out with a hooker.

I've never been stiffed on my rate for time, but was once taken for a rather large hotel bill.
Client was a solid guy for 15+ years.  He was visiting NYC.  Suite at the Carlyle.  His card was giving him issues, so I graciously put down a cc and he agreed to make sure I was paid back.  I didn't think there'd be an issue.
There was an issue.  A $24k issue.
Moral of story:  Don't confuse being gracious and being stupid. 
I ended up getting my money back. 
From what I was told, he eventually ended up dead, pulling this same bullshit on people who weren't so understanding of his con.

This is fucked up. You should delete it. I’m an SA survivor and you equating a lazy escort to me being held down and face fucked under threat of violence is disgusting. It’s offensive to SA survivors and @Mydavid who had an unpleasant but CONSENSUAL experience. 

At the end of the day, the deposit issue is a bit of a gamble for both the provider and the client.
For the provider, the deposit gives a form of “insurance”, increasing the likelihood that the potential client WON’T flake.
For the client, the deposit, gives a form of “liability”, increasing the likelihood that the potential provider WILL flake. 
The provider’s time is precious, and the client’s money is precious, and both are trying to ensure they don’t waste either. 
However, if a potential client flakes on a provider, that provider can recoup the time wasted by booking someone else, or revising his schedule. 
if a potential provider flakes on a client, takes his deposit and disappears, his financial loss is pretty much set, and he can’t recoup his loss.

The reality is that you need to be on a form of PrEP if you're fucking or being fucked by another man.  It's readily available almost everywhere now.
Both escorts and clients alike lie to themselves and each other about their sexual responsibility.

I am a fan of Russ. But I would not hire someone for 2 days unless Ive seen them for a shorter period (usually 2 hours) so we can figure out if we will get along. My 2c.
